Man I have been researching you guys's instrument quite a bit, and it seems like EXACTLY the instrument I've been looking for. My only issue, is that I don't have a ton of money, and the G16 (though both are extremely reasonably priced) is the only one within my price range, I was wondering, since most of my work is in the higher registers, does the G16 pose an issue at all compared to the K24 in terms of reaching the upper registers of say, a standard guitar?
@WolvesAsParents Actually, the G16 goes higher in pitch than the K24. The G16 plays up to C6, whereas the K24 plays to A5. The 'G' in G16 refers to the fact that it is similar to a guitar in range, although it plays two whole tones deeper than a normal 6 string.
@WolvesAsParents Looking forward to building you an awesome G16! We're here when you are ready, and all we need is a respectable deposit to start the build process.
this sounds beautiful, I dont have one to try but have you found that most piano and guitar voicings are possible on the harpejji? Have you found any that you can't finger on the harpejji? For example, if your doing left hand piano voicings are most of those possible with one hand on the harpejji while you solo with your right hand?
Every stringed electrical instrument can produce amazing sound thanks to sound shaping post processing, real time effects and so on. Thus I would like to know two things from the inventor(s) of the Harpejji:
1: How does the Harpejji sounds "clean", ie. without sound modification, filters and so on - just the instrument plugged into an amp, leaving all settings at neutral values?
2: What sound setup have you used here? Can you please post some information about the used equipment?
@karli34 (1) Check out the "Rain Dance" song video on YouTube: There is only a touch of reverb on that. (2) In the Charles Dickens song video, the harpejji was played through an Adrenalinn 3 pedal + a Boss Digital Reverb pedal into a Roland KC-350 amplifier. The video was recorded with a Zoom Q3 handy recorder.
@harpejji Thanks for the enlightenment. I personally prefer the rather clean tone as in "Rain Dance". The musical expression possibilities seems to be unlimited on the Harpejji, though :)
Simply put, it is an outgrowth of many instruments. I like it anyway. And may Joy maintain her improved health, as we all should. And to FUTURE TIMES, TEN TRUE SUMMERS LONG, Ride Again, Dantalion!
Whoa ... massively brilliant and beautiful! Great song, great singing job, and you playing the Harpejji really shows lots of the possibilities of this wonderful instrument.
So sorry that Joy had to go through this rough time, but what you then made from it turned out to be something outstandingly beautiful.
Cool harmonics at the end Tim. I had no idea it could do that.

In some strange way, the harpeji riff he's playing sounds a little like the slow part of the james bond song

Nice song. But also a nice showcase on what a flexible instrument the Harpejji is.

Like a Stick, this instrument has related ancestors. In it's approach, I see a Gu Zheng, a hand hammered dulcimer, an Autoharp, a lute, a zither ....
