like at 3:17, the backing tone needed to be much MUCH lower to give off a darker, colder feel, this just feels "steady".

Listen to the original, you can hear the backing note drop alot more deeper.

Here it's kinda higher and lighter.

I dunno, It's a really good version and I love how it's rendered, but of course, it does stray away from how the backing notes on the original are and does sound a bit "OFF"

Listen to the backing notes (not the melody) 3:17 again.

Now listen to the ones on the original.

Different feel.

@modeseven777 Basically 3:17 to 3:21 has the same backing note sustaining, while the note from 3:17 to about 3:19 needs to be dropped down by 2 like in the original.

like I said, it does linger away from the original and sounds strange.

I tend to listen to alot of Youmu battle remixes and they tend to always get the backing track wrong and makes the best parts sound off.

Following the video on nico nico douga (the comments that appear on the video), sm4188825, lyrics end at about 2:36, I can't figure out what's after that. At about 3:09, I can hear it going back to "Nemo ante mortem beatus" then it goes to "Natura duce nunquam aberrabimus" before ending. Lyrics on nico nico douga are also slightly different from those provided here. Can anyone help clear this up? It seems quite unfortunate that lyrics are so hard to hear on such an epic song.

I'm not exactly wanting Touhou to be mainstream, but I at least want to see some of the games on Xbox Live/PSN Network with far more achievements than most normal games, and possibly even a system that reads similar to the Grimoire of Marisa about the spell cards, obtained by capturing said cards (and all cards captured after a continue is used is void). If I remember, some of the shmups on the arcade section are doujin type.

A lot of things by Morrigan are heavy on the choir, and they are all spectacular. Just type "WAVE Symphonic Rhapsody Peony" into the search bar (Symphonic Rhapsody "Peony" being a recent album of his that is filled with choral pieces) and you will find plenty that meet your expectations.

At least I don't know a poem or classical literature which seems to be cited. Of course,Yuyuko and Hangon(反魂）are based on the legend of Saigyou, a famous priest in 12th century....

This latin does sound a bit weird though, I can usually follow latin with the lyrics, since I speak Portuguese and a bit of French, but I can't follow this AT ALL! So either the lyrics are wrong or the guys singing are not singing correctly.

Well, if the orchestra/choir is from Japan as well it would make sense as they have difficulty with ocidental languages, but as you said, spelled wrongly or not, it always sounds beautiful.
