  • im here cause im a big Queensryche fan, but even with that said, i like this version better. it fits more as a synth pop song like this, the metallic version by Queensryche sounds just wird and doesn't really fit their style.

  • Finally found it out who sings this! Been looking for this song for years... reminds me of a female Prince.. such a sexy song I love it

  • fuck this song ruled but the video um seroquel.

  • Stalker's anthem!!!

  • This is one of these awesome songs that turned us into lunatics back in the 1980s. Love it! Ol' moon madness has struck again this night...

  • What genre is this!? This is freakin' epic. If it weren't for Ryche I would have never found this.

  • @xshalludiex When I purchased the Remix CD that is when i found out about this song, they mentioned it in the lyner of the case. OMG this song is awesome and oh so creepy. love it!

  • I can't believe I've just discovered this jewel! Man, some of her best songs were covered by my fav. bands. Very ahead of her time!

  • i just lost a bunch of respect for queensryche. such a great song, i thought it was their original song all these years. i hate when that happens. i remember my parents telling me about just a gigolo. i thought it was a david lee roth original, i was about 13, what did i know right? when i heard the original i liked it just the same as crazy dave's.

  • Rokpool love this

  • lesbians stalking each other lol

  • My only question is, which one of them is " The Stalker"? It's almost like they are stalking each other.

  • Listen to Anja Garbarek, Jane Siberry, and you know what I mean, folks.

  • CANADA has some of the best musical talent...that truly deserved more than they got way back when...This is a briliant vocal track Lisa!

  • @SONGABUNDANCE128 Oh yes old Voivod for example!

  • who is stalking whom? This is Hitchcock.

  • Same hairstyle...

  • Didn't know that this version existed. Prefer the Queensryche version but, pretty cool, actually... (:o)

  • Dalbello was crazy-cool, both with this and with "Do you want to TANGO?"

  • Watching this video for the millionth time in crappy quailty

I honesty would give this an AWARD.

Its like a mini Drama movie.

Just too well done compared to most videos and especially todays junk.

The camera angles, lighting, and post production cuts, wonderful.

Love when Lisa is dragged under the tub water and she doesn't flinch....

The explosion is VERY realistic w/proper delay/reaction and the last yell where the hand muffles her then she lets loose while the elevator DROPS!!! WOW!

  • the queensryche version was always one of my favorite songs of the '80's....and now this? it is amazing!!!!! i cant believe i NEVER heard this before. well, better late than never!

  • @stuesdays Exactly the same for me. I knew the song was written by a woman but had no idea who she was or that she was also a singer herself. I'd just presumed she'd written it for Queensryche. Great great song.

  • You are watching the greatest female artist to ever work in pop/rock music. The spirit and intensity of Lisa Dalbello is absolutely unmatched.

  • I love this video, because one questions who is stalking whom? heh

  • She took serious chances. Brilliant.

  • JUST found out that this was a "Remake" by QR, thats soo nuts! And QR was very faithful . . . just with heavier Guitars (sort of). This is really good too! I have always been curious about her since her guest vocals on Alex Lifeson's solo album Victor, and the song "Start Today", excellent song (and she sounds like Geddy on it :) -MAVIII(prOgulus . cOm)

  • she was way ahead of the game...........incredible...

  • This beautifully creative woman was waaaay ahead of her time!

    Hypnotic!

  • Ryches is Better

  • Wow, this is so much more creepy and sublimely disturbing than the QR version! I was a die-hard Tate worshipper, but wow, she really out-psychos him!

  • @Salu1999

    HaHa"she really out-psychos him!"SOOO true.

I searchn for something TOTALLY unrelated on Amazon, It brought up her CD with her face where she looks ASIAN or HISPANIC!The price was$100, so i was like"I have to see what this deal is".

    Turns out 2be a rare find,&one seller wanted $275!!!

    Listed as"Lisa Dal Bello"where the other $15Cds r listed"Dalbello"so people would'nt find it easily! So I Utubed her name 2hear the hype AND WHAM! this song/singer is Killer(puns).I'm Closer NOW...( ;

  • Gladpack. Yummy!

  • Wow, looks like Geoff Tate ripped off her hairstyle too!! Didn't realize how closely he stuck to her version!

  • Nice, first time hearing the original version and I don't about you...but I'm scared of Lisa Dalbello.

  • Does anyone know what "Miss Thing" is doing these days?

  • Lisa was so creative & talented! I met and interviewed her in 1988 for a music magazine.

    Ah, the memories!

  • queensryches is better

  • i usually like te original more but your right this time

  • and yeah, you easily could call this prog-pop. where is this music these days?

  • I love this much better than the Queensryche version even though Rage For Order is one of my favorite albums of all time.

  • Without Lisa Dalbello, Alanis would have never existed. Such a talented and original lady, I never understood why she's never had the success she deserved. "Whomanfoursays" is still a terrific album.

  • God i gotta give her credit! You would never expect such freaky lyrics from a woman, no offense i mean im a girl too, but srsly the lyrics had 'psychotic obsessed guy' written all over it.

I guess thats why i prefer Queensryche versions better.. but this version is ok. =P

  • This song sounds better when Queensryche does it.

  • Great song. Both Ryche and this version. There just ain't beautiful crazy-pop like this around anymore!

  • Unreal song. Nothing else like it. Video does it justice too.

  • Excellent version of the song. I still prefer the queensryche version being the metal nut that i am. But Dalbello`s voice is def amazing.

  • Both Lisa's version and Queensryche's version are sublime. I wonder if anyone has tried to blend the two songs together? I would love to hear Geoff Tate's and Lisa's voices together. The world would cease to spin on it's axis for a moment. lol

  • the greatest female artist in the world so talented she has created her own unique style, no other female comes no where near her

  • @EYESOFISABEL I'm compelled to agree --the hairs are still standing up........

  • @AstridVue They had originally approached Lisa to do the Sister Mary vocals on their next album Operation:Mindcrime and she agreed to, but if memory serves me correct there was scheduling conflicts when it came time to record the album so unfortunately it never came to fruition.

  • @AstridVue I too would love to hear that!!

  • She is and always will be amazing..thanks for this..cheers !!!

  • "Brides In The Bath" reference at 3:20. Absolutely creepy. Great song.

  • 2:32 She demonstrates safer sex techniques.

  • I thought this song was written by Queensrÿche, so I was really surprised to read that they borrowed it from another artist! I just watched the original by Dalbello and I must say that both versions are great, but in different ways. Queensrÿche made the video sexy, while Dalbellos is more "crazy/ insane woman".

  • I think the man who dumped the girl in the video, did it because she was such an stalker and crazy b..ch with wierd hair and eyebrowns.

  • Such an under-rated artist. Dalbello did well for a while but then faded, for reasons I don't understand. This song was her break-through in her true incarnation. pretty Girls was great but misled the public to a great extent as it fit in with the disco groove at the time.

  • I actually joined her fanclub back then and wore the black tshirt they sent me. It had a shocking pink PrettyGirls logo on it, so cool. This song is timeless like Beatles' songs...

  • This song is fucking awesome. This woman had intensity. Who the hell sings like this anymore? Or even back then?

  • Hello watchitbuddy,

I hear you big time. The soul of music is gone....for now....I still hold the torch that something will happen.

  • classic 80's-she rocked!!!!

  • its funny how similar Tate sang the song as to how DalBello sang it.

  • Such a very overlooked canadian talent. You can still hear her on the odd TV commercial, which is such a shame. A great voice and a pioneer of alternative music. This music still endures and is great listening.

  • Queensryche did a much better job on this as well as their cover of Welcome To The Machine by Pink Floyd.

  • How canthey do it better? This IS the original song. QR and Lisa are friends, they did a good job, but THIS ist way mor dynamic than Geoff and the ladds... imho

  • Michael Monroe of Hanoi Rocks rules!

  • Sorry raymondreich - dont agree. Queensryche did a good job but the original from DalBello studio and live has more originality and power. She just blows minds higher.

  • Remember this artist WROTE the song in the first place....maybe 'Ryche made it more "metal" but as good as they are they didnt write the harmony, arrangement or lyrics. But this song does fit them like a glove!

  • I am a singer and Dalbello is one of my idols. Great song!!!!

  • don't we all just luv the stalkin'type...

  • esta buena; pero prefiero la version de queensryche!!

  • I always wanted to hear the original version of this song ever since I heard the Queensryche version, I must say, I like the Queensryche version a tad better, but this version is amazing in it's own right. DalBello did an awesome job.

  • wow, and i thought tate's way of singing it was much different from the original...

    this girl is amazing!

  • Scary and sexy! I love 80's music.

  • so was von geil. einfach super. gam

  • I like the scream better at the end of Tate's version though. I always thought he sounded like Prince when he did it.

  • wow, dude, I thought the exact same thing for many years.

  • I like the scream better at the end of Tate's version though. I always thought he sounded like Prince when he did it.

  • Ya mean to say Queensryche? I think she sounds more like Prince. Geoff Tate sounds more like Halford, Dickinson, and Mercury

  • I like the scream better at the end of Tate's version though. I always thought he sounded like Prince when he did it.

  • nice!

  • Fantastic song that stands the test of time.

  • I agree. I loved it then, and I love it now.

  • First; OUCH! Second, I get that same feeling everytime I've ever looked at Joan Jett, from the time I was 10 right on up to today!

  • Kicks ass so baldy yet so lovely.

  • I love this song so. it seem ist belongs to me since 10 jears

  • scorpioqrrl70....you´re right, but she belongs to me

  • i love her voice, talent, concepts, i love her totally!!!! k im just a big fan ok??!!

  • Ok.

  • i love her voice, talent, concepts, i love her totally!!!! k im just a big fan ok??!!

  • I love this woman

  • Finally.. Ive found the incredible singer of song "Start Today" off of Alex Lifeson's side project, VICTOR album. She rules! Very intense singer.

  • Still until the very day I know every single word of this song! Tortured my neighbours by listening to it for hours ;-)

  • in 84 rather

  • this video was always in heavy rotation on much music back in 85 and on samantha taylors video hits

  • Great song. I read inside Rage For Order booklet that Queensryche offered Dalbello to play the role of Sister Mary on Operation Mindcrime, but she refused due to scheduling conflict

  • Lisas from Toronto, the Weston area.

I am as well. She never got the credit she deserved. Shes amazing!

  • I remember that I wasn't surprised to notice that her Co-Musician Mick Ronson played such a great part in the early works of David Bowie. This song together with "She pretends" inspired some adventures in my adolescence :)

  • This arrangement of the song is incredible. I knew Queensryche's version was a cover..but this is just as cool and even a little more brooding and ominous.

I had never seen the vid...Awesome.

  • would it be reasonable to assume that lisa dalbello is a lesbian?

  • If Carole Pope is to be believed, which can be a dubious concept, Dalbello is straight.

  • She is SO great. This album and "She" in particular. This is really inspired and original music - and some serious artists who rarely do covers did covers of her music. I wish there was more! Someone post the German concert that's out there!

  • My misteak I fotgot to sign my son's name out,

but,I thinks geoff sounded sexier and sang it better than her.

  • I thinks geoff sounded sexier and sang it better than her.

  • Please can anyone tell me how I get more of this lady awesome

  • I am also from Canada and i always loved this song and was happy to find it here -still gives me chills

reminds me of Terry David Mulligan Good Rockin Tonight and Friday Night Videos

  • I never knew that Queensryche had covered this song....thought they had wrote it. It was always my favorite song off of Rage For Order. Tate's vocals were so ass kicking on this. I just tonight discovered that this was a cover and had to look it up to hear it. And I must say I love this "original" version just as much as Ryche's. Glad to actually find it here. Thank you Kurdtss....

  • is she still penning for "heart"?

  • We liked your work w/transcender,

and this proves u r BIG TIME.

  • What hair back then eh!

  • a fellow Canuck!

  • one of the most under-rated artists in canadian music history.

  • music history period! my bud and i, whenever we are losing a close game in x box hockey, pop in "let's tango"... we've never been scored on, nor lost with that trac playin'!

  • see new message...

  • love this song

  • Toronto's own beloved LISA!!! I miss her so...

  • To be honest i knew that Queeensryche did a cover of this song for there "Rage for Order" cd.

And i wonderd how the original sounded.

    THEY SOUND ALMOST THE SAME!

Except for the fact, that in this ORIGINAL verssion it's a woman singing, and the Queensryche version is more powerfull because of the Double Guitar sound, and Rockenfields drums.

    But Still VERY ALIKE SOUNDING

  • That's funny because I've been a Queensryche fan since The Warning and I never knew they covered this song. This is really interesting especially since I'm used to the remake! Great song!

  • Goddess!

  • Rockpalast broadcasted this song in their series about 30 years of Rockpalast. I whish they would broadcast the complete concert again. Can remember having seen it, but I didn't have a VCR at that time. Still looking to find her CD's. She is fantastic. What a performance she does with such an intensity.

  • "Dalbello's version is great, too" Fool, this isn't a "version" this is the original. Listen to this a ton instead of the ryche version, and then go listen to Queensryche's version. They butchered it.

  • Another day in hell? Love both versions of the only frequency that exists. And it is close to you.

  • This is an amazing album, really. All the music is done by Lisa and Mick Ronson. Many people hve covered songs by it, but the originals are best - and more inventive with less budget!

  • She does most of the voice-overs for CBC-tv network in Canada now ... singing, or speaking, she has the most distinct and beautiful of voices.

  • I just loooooooove her. Hope she decides to put something out soon.

  • I only know Queensryche's cover. I have been looking to hear this and find the cd. I havent been able to find it and now I can see the video too! KURDTSS is the best and so is YOU TUBE! Thanks to both!

  • wowowowowow! you have made someone very happy! been looking for this close to 20 years! thank you!

  • That takes me back... Always loved that song!

  • Hell yes! I never saw this video... thanks for sharing and posting!

  • She's fantastic. I have "Talk To Me" on video and the live version of "Let's Tango," but I have to figure out how to convert from VHS to upload to YouTube. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi there.. I have just uploaded "Tango" music video clip. I would love to be able to help you upload "Talk To Me" and the live version of "Tango". Is there any way you could mail me a copy and I could upload it for you? =)

  • Can you download her "Let's Tango" It's a neat video.

  • Just added! Enjoy. Please visit my unofficial Dalbello fan site at dalbello(dot)4x2(dot)net

  • Lisa has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Thanks for uploading this!

  • has anyone got the video of boz scaggs and lisa singing miss sun, circa 1980?

  • I'm a Fan from Germany she's fantastic all the Years

thrilling Sound nice Style :) and totaly differend Music !! so sad she never will come back ... or ?

  • SUPERB! I've been waiting 21 years to watch it again...since i've bought everything from her and even contacted his bro Stefano who does the marketing for her...great song and terrific visual !! Anybody knows the director of the clip ?

  • Lisa Dalbello rocks totally!! That voice is amazing, I hope more of her videos show up here, I have only seen two so far, I want more!!

  • Comment removed

  • Queensryche's version is better

  • Yeah. Tate put on a way better stalker face when they covered it... =P

  • Agreed. It's important to see the original though, esp. since Queensrÿche's video has the same feel. Though, given the song's subject, it's perhaps not that surprising. Still interesting.

  • Could someone upload dalbello's new song on The Keg restaurant commercial (Canada) ? Thanks.

  • Thanks for posting. I saw her live in '89 and she was spectacular. So underrated! I think she does the song for the new Degrassi series.

  • Goddess!

  • Most underrated canadian singer/song writer ever. I love her!

  • Absolutely SUPERB! Thanks for posting this, I haven't seen it since the 80's on Max Headroom - Dalbello is the biz!

  • Lisa Dalbello is my favorit singer. Shes great.
