@ thatgirlinnewyork - ya this is a good cover, but it's not mediocre in others' hand. See Soul Savers w/ Mark Lanagan singing. The best version of this song, IMO

Great interpretation. Love the interplay of kick drum, bass and piano. Of course the slide is great...that's where the songs lives.
Another Chicago band--Casey McCauley Bans--does a fine job with this song. She really gets it too
