I am so glad you Idiots think that Obama is the messiah.
I have yet to see the ocean levels fall. Or Even 1 job he has created.Thousands and thousands of ppl have lost their jobs and the coal industry is next. This will only lead to sky rocketing energy cost. You don't raise taxes in a recession you lower them. Reagannomics 101
talk about stupid, repower america would be a great boost for us. Energy independence an't you understand that? our government wouldn't know a good deal if it kicked them in the ass. Its the same for a bad deal. Hence the trade agreements they have signed. We need to be out of the grip of foreign oil and the oil companys.when the electric sklisaw was made there was great woory about how many people would be put out of work, look at all the homes built, you want to use a handsaw go ahead.
Yeah, talk about ignorant....xXd4rklightningXx--you need to check your facts before making such a post. Besides, what good is any job or any business if you can't BREATHE? If you listen only to the oil company lobbyists you are bound to believe that caps are bad. Quite the opposite is actually true.
exciting!about bloody time. We all eager 4new sustainable& cleaner ways of living. & its all in implementing this into reality where we can finally begin to relflect as a whole what it is we truely want: to live in harmony with this planet & a people as a whole...so excited to see this all happen very quickly & only improve even more so:example: ways of traveling in craft that run on the meridians or energy paths/lines & not even need some kind of battery or anything like that, just imagine! :)
If you're an Aussie reading this, write to Kevin Rudd and ask him what our coal miners are going to do when the US develops new clean, green technologies (which we should have developed) and sells them to China.
Yes. With Obama in the White House, the race is now on to determine who will be the next "OPEC" - a fantastic thing for the global environment. However, those leaders who don't recognise this are letting the people of their nations down. The Aussie PM is still backing the dirty lie of "clean coal" because he wants Australians to believe that we can continue to reap export dollars with this trade and that coal miner's jobs are secure. It looks like a fantasy to me.
I am sorry to hear that. Obama just released his 850 Billion dollar economic stimulus plan which includes 2.4 billion for clean coal, 32 billion for our energy grid update, 16 billion and retrofitting public housing, and 6 billion for weatherization of mid-income housing. Also that Financial bailout money the U.S. gave in October, 50 billion is going to the wind and solar industry. We are on our way I guess. Lets just hope it works and maybe a global treaty will help you all down there.
I'm hoping that the drive for the capture of clean renewable energy in the US will quickly bring the world to the point where the "clean coal" thing will be superseded to the point of abandonment.
Good to see that Obama got the balance right: a gazillion to renewables and a small amount to "clean coal".
Electric cars are going to be awesome someday. Just need to get this clean energy up an going so that we are not charging our electric cars with coal pants.
Even with 100% coal generated power the pollution created to make the electricity for a fleet of EVs would be far less than the gasoline cars they replace, while moving the pollution away from population centers.
ICEs are never going to get much cleaner, and will always be generating the pollution and health impacts where they are used; in cities and neighborhoods.
The fact that we can move away from coal to cleaner alternatives for power makes electric cars the sensible path into the future.

So true. I am surprised the EU is not doing more to do that already. You guys still have a chance to beat the U.S.

At the rate we are going, and this is happening now, China will be selling to the US "clean green" energy solutions, not the other way around.

It's just my feeling, but I think that the countries which win this new energy race will be the countries that lead the world in coming decades.

I'm just worried with lower gas prices, people will just go back to their old ways.
