Well I love it! Tacoma 2012, you sexy truck lol. You shall be mine in spring 2012. But you will be silver, not going to get you in dark navy blue because you don't look appealing to me in that color. I'm also going to install you with a bull bar, side step, bar step, and a hood scoop, oh yeah Lol. I will see you in January 2012.
Definitely some similarities to the new 4Runner but that's a good thing. I have the older Tacoma and the new 4Runner Trail. The Trail is a descent off road vehicle as I have taken it all over western Canada off payment and even off gravel/dirt. The interior cleans up easily, the "crawl mode" is awesome over large rock, through wash outs and even in the deeper snow. You can view some of this on my channel: AdventureToyota
About as boring and uninteresting as a "new" truck introduction gets. It looks nearly the same and the interior is the same as in the 4Runner (yes, I know they are based on the same platform). Toyota needs to work on making its vehicles somewhat more emotional and compelling. I'm sure the truck is good, but I'm bored half way through a 2 minute video.
@Lexuslover123 i actually like the new front end styling better, but i still completley agree with you. this vehicle is long past due for a complete makeover...... how dissapointing...
Looks ugly on the exterior, interior is the only step up, same materials but more modern looking, I'm disappointed. It really needed refreshed power trains like the 4.0 v6 from the new 4runner and the new 2.7 from the sienna, come on toyota, your really letting us down.
It's still best in class... but I agree about it getting the new V-6. However the Sienna 2.7 isn't a "truck" engine. It is for the car based, FWD models ie Sienna, Venza etc.

I just bought a 2011 Tacoma 4*4 regular cab in February. I only have the 4 cylinder, but it is strong enough. It's quiet, smooth, and gets good mileage. I put a set of Yokohamas AT's, and it will go anywhere.
I got a 2012 Reg cab 4 cylinder auto 4x4 in Spruce Mica in October & I love it. Tacos rock....

@TJC450 Uglier front end and slightly better interior, as well as the new e tunes system, toyota could have done much better.
