  • Thanks 1aauto! I just replaced my headlights today. Put some angel eyes in. Because of this video, it made the process much easier! Thanks again!

  • 1aauto,

You guys rock! Thank you so much! If anything needs to be fixed or replaced I will come to you!

  • @1aauto YOU GUYS ARE LIFE SAVERS!!! LIKE PLUS FAVORITE <3 HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME MAN!! MAKE MORE VIDEOS!!!! THE BEST OF YOUTUBE I GOT TO SAY!!!!!!

  • The video was super

The only thing my son and I ran into was there were 2 of the expanding screwed inserts under each headlight assembly holding the bumper cover on. I ended up cutting the heads off with a straight bladed screw driver and then the video was dead on in its direction, Thanks again!

  • @rteng1 I have the same thing, how did you get to them? or cut them? i'm having a real hard time with those

  • What size t40 and how long does it take?

  • 1992 Accord a much simpler process. Just ordered my replacement headlight assemblies from 1AAuto.com. Will let you know the results of installation and bumper reinstall. 1Aauto has great prices on these headlight kits.

  • @ibisrider72 Thank you for checking us out. Have a great holiday season.

  • It may be similar, but might not be exactly the same.

  • I own a 1992 Accord, need to do this job. Is it similar to the 94 process? Thanks!

  • i have a 1994 honda accord lx. it had a cheesy body kit when i bought it, so i bought a new stock front cover. when i put it on, it seems not to fit. to me it looks like the impact brace is in the way? would pics help? cause i need help..

  • @noahkeebler Who ever put the body kit on may have modified or changed some things. If you watch the video, it should show you how everything should be on the front of the car, so that you can attach the stock bumper back on.

  • The two screws on the side of my bumper are not those normal screws that you can take out with your philips scewdriver, I'm having so much trouble trying to get them out, it's a Hex bolt, how do i go about this?

  • @PandahBoii If it's a hex bolt, it sounds as though you would need a socket to remove them.

  • @1aauto Ahh thank you very much, but after succesfully removing those bolts, I came about another problem :( There are two tabs under the headlights which makes it impossible to remove because there is no room to work with. Do you know of this problem?

  • @PandahBoii Those shouldn't stop you from being able to remove the front bumper cover. it should come out as shown in the video.

  • @1aauto The two tabs hold the bumper in place just like the 3 tabs in the middle... :O

  • @PandahBoii Once the screws are removed, and the bumper cover ends are unhooked. The cover should just slide right out as shown in the video.

  • geez i expected it to be like my old 94 civic , accords are difficult

  • Great Video, just fyi I managed to remove and replace one light without removing the bumper. So for those of you like myself who's bottom bolts are rusted or worn, I accomplished this task without removing the front bumper.

  • Thank you very much for saving me a but load of money getting someone else to install my new Headlights. This video was perfect. Thanks for the time and effort! Please make more!

  • @xentrox You're welcome, thank you for taking the time to check us out. We sell those headlights for your Honda Accord on our website 1aauto.com

  • @1aauto I'm actually installing custom aftermarket sets. But I will refer to your website if I ever needed some replacement parts. Thank you very much, I have subscribed to your channel.

  • ive tooken all the screws off but cant get to the screws under the headlight?? how do i take those screws under the headlight??

  • How do you remove the 2 small screws behind the headlights? I'm having trouble finding any space at all. I just bought some bad ass new headlights but I do not want to have to pay more money to get them installed because of this one problem! Thank you

  • Well, slightly different i guess.

  • This is exactly the same for the 91-93 Accords!!

If you have clips under the headlights leave that row of clips alone, and instead remove the lights from the bumper which are attached with screws, then remove the two bolts directly behind each one, and remove the two nuts under the hood, one by the battery box and one by the driver side headlight where you replace the bulbs, and the whole bumper will come out in one piece.

  • i have a 96 honda accord coupe, and my corner light turn signal dont work with my bumper light turn signal and i want to know how to fix it,i have already change the bulbs on it and it still dont work i think its a safety problem for me please help me with it thank you

  • i have a 96 honda accord coupe, and my corner light turn signal dont work with my bumper light turn signal and i want to know how to fix it,i have already change the bulbs on it and it still dont work i think it a safety problem for me please help me with it thank you

  • @dougcarran You may want to check the fuses and also the wire with a test light to see if there's power going to it.

  • I have a passenger-side headlight that seems to only come on when I "pop" it lightly with a closed fist, so it's not broken or "out" apparently but maybe something just isn't connected right. Anyone else had this problem? Cuz it shouldn't call for a full bulb replacement.

  • i have like black dirt type stuff on my lights (the bulb connector part) what is this? corrosion or something?

  • @Legoman0323 It may be corrosion.

  • btw you could of just used plastx on them instead of wasteing 200 bucks on new lights

  • @Legoman0323 Night now our's are under 100 for the pair. Check them out on 1aauto.com, you can use this video to install your new one's.

  • @1aauto oh cool thanx ima check that out, this is my exact car :P

  • Damn I did all this but it has two plastic screws right under each headlights that I can't seen to take out

  • This is very helpful.

  • Thanks very much for posting this! You just helped me make quick work of replacing a parking light on my daughter's new (used) '97 Accord! Fantastic!! :)

  • The way you get the bumper "screws" /push-clips out from under the headlights takes a different method. You have to leave the bumper cover attached to the bumper. Take the bumper turn signal lights out, reach through the holes, and unbolt 4 bumper mount bolts. And 2 nuts behind in engine compartment. So the whole bumper, cover, and mounts slide out as one unit from beneath the lights and grill area. So really you don't even have to takes those "screws" out. This method is 1990-style anyway.

  • how do I get out the bumper screws under the head lights. I can't get to them Does anyone have an answer?

  • @Whartondoc Obviously my car was taken apart many times so I did not have these screws, so they are not covered in the video. Can you remove the bumper mounted signal light and get to them from underneath?

  • 1994 you need to remove the bumper by taking out the parking lights, there is one screw holding them in (one each) you will need a long Phillips screw driver access in through the middle lower part of the bumper . There are two bolts for the bumper brackets one on left and one on the right. Remove the bumper cover side bolts (as in your video) and lift up and pull out a little on the bumper and it will drop down and give to room to remove four bolts. reverse the process for re-installation

  • Do i need to jack up the car when doing this at home?

  • @pritime21 No, I only put the car on the lift to make filming easier.

  • Hey man! I really need help on a 99 accord.. are these the same procedures as a 99 accord ex?

  • @israeldmx2003 Honestly don't know if it is the same on a '99 but I imagine it would be.

  • Honda made removal and replacement of headlights A LOT more difficult then they needed to be!

  • @phazon1029 Not really, this is an 10 min video. Everything is fairly basic once seen. you can always get a Haynes repair manual at Auto Zone or something with all this info and so much more in it.

  • There are also 2 plastic tabs under each headlights which you are missing. If you do not take them out, the bumper won;'t come out. You have to take out the fog lights and take out the support bar with the complete bumper.

  • You forgot to mention the reason why the bottom captive plastic screws that hold the bumper on would be missing (as they are on that car) - they are virtually impossible to remove! I ended up levering them out ;)

  • I have a 1994 accord and there are two plastic screws under the headlight ass. that i can't get to. can you help. they hold the bumper cover on.

  • great video man! Can you do a video for the removal of rear bumper for 97 accord too?

  • @AztecPrideX It really is not that hard as long as you know what you need to do.

  • great vid.

  • great video. only instruction i could find for 1994-7 accord on the web.

By the way, why do we need to remove impact absorber to take out the headlight assembly ? It looks like side screw might be able to be reached from side...?

  • @fastdunn You can remove all the screws but if I remember correctly you can not get the light up and out. I believe I tried but taking the impact absorber off ended up being the easiest way.

  • you guys are awesome. I have a 97 accord and have never been able to find any info like this on them. Please, do more videos!

  • @XelaXor Thanks a lot, glad we can help. Please think of our website if you should need parts :)
