Anthony Randolph is going to be a 6'10" SF for Golden State. With his ballhandling ability and quickness he'll be able to help run the offense.
He already showed good scoring ability under Keith Smart in the VSL, and showed great playmaking ability with Sidney Moncrief as his coach in the RMR.
If they drafted another PF it would have made getting B-Wright irrelevant. That's why they got Ronny Turiaf at PF instead, so they can still develop Wright without another young PF in the way.
hey Randolf is showing great signs in summer league. yeah I know its not the real thing but don't knock a guy before u see what he does. And Brandon Wright is going to be a good player with time. Last year he had a game with 11pts in quarter and another one with 9 pts in the first quarter. So just wait to see these kats can do then judge them
Fucking idiot! Classic example of the prick who thinks he's smarter than he really is. You c-c-can't even talk. Too much crank in the coffee eh? Randolph is a 3, and will some day have the skills to play all 5 positions in a conditional line up. Obviously the signings of Turiaf and Hendrix will provide the team with the muscle they need. 3 years from now Randolph will be a star, and hopefully you won't be pulling these analysis' out your ass, amateur. That's why ESPN gave us an A.
ouch...I think Anthony Randolph is gonna fit in great with Golden States' high tempo style of play. The kid can run the floor better than most NBA power forwards, has a good mid range shot and can finish strong at the basket. Granted the kid needs to hit the weights but Randolph has alot of upside that you can't just add after you draft like you can with strength. I think Randolph will have a decent rookie season and be a good contributor off the bench.
Chris Bosh was also a pretty scrawny guy (listed at 210 when he was drafted) when he first showed up in Toronto but he's added strength and his quick first step and ability to play face to the basket and post up allows him to punish less athletic defenders. I think Randolph will be a player the likes of Lamar Odom or Chris Bosh in a couple years.
yeah but chris bosh had alot of offensive skills and was already a proven player in college. randolph has some work to do and the warriors needed a solid scoring presence with their back to the basket. u know that high octane offense bring tired legs and either not making the playoffs or barely gettin far in the playoffs. but it is what it is...if anythin u have wright and randolph, two replicas of each other within a two yr time period.
write and randolph are not replicas of each other. Randolph is a 3- ball handler, point forward, perimeter player. Wright is a 4, inside game, low post, pick and roll, type scorer.
The two of them on the floor at the same time creates a mismatch opportunity, and also adds a lot of shot blocking to the team. (both guys got hops).
hey jmel i love your work man you are an upcoming sports analyst. Chris Mullin is a dope for picking Anthony Randuolph when he had better choices, but as a Philadelphian my Sixers were able to get Speights who I think is a complete steal. If you can give me your thoughts on Speights. And bro keep up the good work I hope to see more of your stuff during the upcoming season
I never liked the whole, "build for the future"...I could of sworn that the NBA is about winning...these fans fork out so much money for tickets, souvenirs, etc, they deserve a solid team to watch...brendan wright was a hype up dude and the trade was bad. I think Koufos would of worked b/c when u go to a halfcourt offense, u can pass to him or let davis and ellis be facilitators or even pass to jackson. koufos with biedrins would of worked out since biedrins rebounds well under the basket.
these skinny guys get pushed around, even but shorter guys. its the people like the jason maxiells or brandon bass that can really muscle their way for dunks and rebounds, no soft shit.
haha. Randolph has been a beast! fucking hater. Randolph will putback dunk in your face! bitch
