This is a very powerful scene. This is when Shion realizes that she was the one that summoned the gnosis into their plane of existence and now she just summoned Able's ark.

I too don't understand why they censored this scene and was confused as to what little Shion was doing when she was frantically scooping up air or dust off the floor.

This is a good example of censorship gone overboard. With the blood removed from this particular scene you have absolutely no idea what little shion is talking about or doing. It hinders your perception of whats going on.

I have a problem....I haven't played three...I own and have beaten 1 and 2 and i bought 3 but after I found out that they censored it...I couldn't bring myself to play it....since xenogears the thing I have loved about the series is that it never took into consideration religion or gore when it told its story...thats how it should be.

The censoring of a certain scene in the second game made sense, and there wasn't any that I know of in the first game. What they did to this game, however, was a huge slap in the face not only to fans of the series, but also to rpg players, anime fans, and pretty much any gamer in America where an M rating would have probably made more sales.

Oh they definitely did censor episode 1. Originally Albedo used a small knife to chop his arm off, and then used it to slowly saw his head off. Lotsa blood. o_O

Instead they censored it and he awkwardly pulled his arm off and ripped his head off.

Xenogears was EXTREMELY BLOODY...and Saga 1-2 were also..I dont think this amount of blood would really have taken it to a M...and really even in america your right if it was an M it would have boosted sales by at least 50%..then we probably would have xenosaga 4 lmao

I don't understand why they took it out. Looking back at Episode 1 they didn't take out any of the blood there. I agree with everyone that said it ruined the scene. It makes much more sense watching Shion when she is holding her mothers heart in her hand.

Dude, what the hell? It's blood, so what if it's gone? Geez, some people just aren't happy if they're not complaining. Granted, the cuts in XSI and XSII where handled better, but still, come on, get a life people.

And the lack of blood doesn't 'ruin' the scene. It gives the impression that Shion's mental stabilitiy is even more over the edge, to the point she's seeing things. Which, while not the oriiginal intent of the scene, makes sense and adds to it, IMO.

Please what? I love the series, regardless on how much they screwed things up. Xenosaga 1, awesome game. In Xenosaga 2, they ruined many of the character models, they screwed up the voice acting, they screwed up the combat, and they screwed up the POV. It's Shion's story, not Jr.'s story. So don't please me, I'm just not a fanboy like you sound like that will not admit when someone screws up something. If there were not bad decisions made, how come the series is ending 2 freakin games early?
