Nice job! First time I've ever seen the NES version...man it's way different than the old Apple II version I used to play a million years ago. On that one, the last boss looked like a samurai and wore a hakama...plus if you didn't bow to the princess before running to her, she'd kick you and the game would be over! Plus the ending was better...it was something like "you stand there with the beautiful Princess Mariko in your arms...but for the Karateka there will always be another day". ;)

@edr777 . Agreed, the original Apple II ending was alot better. You'd think they would have done something better on the NES given it's superior sound and graphics capabilites compared to the ol' Apple II.

Yeah, that was a tricky part. I believe you had to trigger it with a kick, and then keep going as it raised. You'd get through and not be killed.
