The melody is popular on the Bolkans, perhaps with small variations.
The current performance is Bulgarian and is called "Eleno Mome".
"Eleno" is the name and "mome" refers to young girl and it's mostly used in the folklore.
Your assumption with Poland and Belarus is misplaced.
