Technically it sounds 10 times better then the 303 and is a lot easier to program. But people just want that cheap dirty 303 Sound that is generated by the cheap and tolerant electronic parts of the 80`s =)

Unfortunately for the world, it is now close to impossible to find a mint condition TR-808,909 and the FR-777 is very difficult to obtain as well.This is because of the huge success with the 808 & 909 during the start of Hip-Hop and sequenced drum patterns in the world of music. i have 7 TR-808s which i have installed Midi ports on as well making it so u can use it with other equipment and actually work quickly, i own 5 909s too
