  • Most of the time I sit in a chair straddling an tripod, with my arms around it, so I'm knitting a little more away from my body than normal. If I need to have the knitting closer to my body I enlist my husband to help with the camera work. I'm lucky to have a lot of south facing windows in my kitchen, so that I have plenty of natural light. I usually cast on in pattern only if the edge needs to be reversible.

  • Your videos are the best because you don't explain the obvious like others do but you show very clearly from the point of view of the knitter, not from across like so many do, and your lighting is excellent and you have nice hands, no manicure.

May I ask how you position your camera between your face and hands? Tripod?

Does it make a big difference to cast on in pattern versus all the same stitch?

I really like seeing all these different ways of casting on. Could be a game for children.
