Your analogy is false. All of Georgia's military actions occurred within the soverign territory of Georgia. She is a nation recognized as independant by the UN-even by Russia. She can do as she wants within her own territory. If Russia had a problem, why did the Russians not consult the UN, or any other international body, as we did with Iraq? (And I personally oppose the Iraq war nonetheless.)
