There are internal reasons such as no one to pass the torch to, john cena would never be main eventer in attitude era, writers jumping ship and compliancy, there was no need to work extra hard because wwe now dominates wrestling, so they are no longer going to take risks and go for a safe audiance.

But the ratings are not dropping because it's a PG production, the ratings started dropping before they went in the PG direction. The problem is there is lack of characters compared to our era, and poor decision from the creative department. The are no real gimmicks there any more, no characters to draw you in and make you watch. And they rely too much on Cena, which is doing more harm than good.

Damn I miss the old days of RAW. I started watching full time right around the time Goldberg came in for his one year stint. I wish the matches today were as interesting to me as the ones from 2003-2006 were. Another thing about WWE I don't really like are the gimmick PPVs (Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, Fatal Four Way, etc). I'd like more variety in the PPVs and in the regular shows. Of course this is just my opinion. Whether or not it would make a difference in the company I don't know.
Me neither. It used to be I wouldn't miss a minute of the entire two hours. Now I find it hard to even remember the show is on. Even when I do remember I find my attention wandering. It also boggles my mind that talented guys like Bryan Danielson, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, etc. are fairly much relegated to being jobbers when they can be main eventers easily in my opinion.

@WrestlingCrackHead yeah that's very true, and I wasn't around in the 80's I was born in 1994 so all I have to go by is attitude era with guys like brock lesnar, randy orton, goldberg, the rock and stone cold (my top 5 wrestlers I've seen) all the rivalries seemed so much more really to me back then than now now it's more like just two guys fight for the championship while back then you had two guys fighting to end the other one carrier, you know what I mean?

@arsepirate90 I used to HATE randy orton I thought he was an overconfident, spineless snake that couldn't do shit without cody rhodes and ted dibiase jr, but I beginned to watching his older matches and I noticed that his RKO can come out of no where and there so little amout of time you have to reverse or counter his finisher, I didn't begin to like him till he ditched cody and ted and beginned to turn into a face

This is when RAW was still good. when we could watch wrestling, know it was staged or scripted, but not care cuz they did such a flawless job of carrying out the entertainment. now days you have a fucking computer as a general manager and that is stupid as fuck. bring back WWE the way it was MEANT to be

@PartyRock15 I'll agree that the TV14 was pretty good and I think triple H will turn things around, but in my opinion the best matches main events and pay-per-views was back when the Rock, stone cold, brock lesnar, scott steiner and kurt angle and a other wrestlers was still wrestling in the WWE, but once the general manager became a computer and they took out "hell", "damn", "ass" blood and weapons it all went down the drain, I just don't see the entertainment anymore you know what I mean?

you my friend are oh so goddamn right and I really do believe too that they should and they still could go back to the same way it was before all of this shit being scripted. Back then, somethings were scripted and some were not but you could tell when they were and weren't. Now, everything is scripted and you can tell that it is. Raw sucks now but the song they have now is the only thing I like about it. And the shit with laptop as the GM, thats just fucked up cause wwe is pg now

Damn I miss the old days of RAW. I started watching full time right around the time Goldberg came in for his one year stint. I wish the matches today were as interesting to me as the ones from 2003-2006 were. Another thing about WWE I don't really like are the gimmick PPVs (Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, Fatal Four Way, etc). I'd like more variety in the PPVs and in the regular shows. Of course this is just my opinion. Whether or not it would make a difference in the company I don't know.

Me neither. It used to be I wouldn't miss a minute of the entire two hours. Now I find it hard to even remember the show is on. Even when I do remember I find my attention wandering. It also boggles my mind that talented guys like Bryan Danielson, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, etc. are fairly much relegated to being jobbers when they can be main eventers easily in my opinion.

I hated this theme, but I'd gladly accept it if it comes with the abandonment of the pg bullshit. It's a real shame. As far as I can tell, even the lil kiddies want the blood and the language back. When I was a young'n I'd always love buying the mags with a bloody Ric Flair on the cover. Honestly Vince is putting his advertisers above the fans. he thinks he'll get more ad money w/a pg product. I say BULLSHIT. Look at UFC. They do a fraction of WWE's biz, yet they command more ad money. Why?
