  • I wasn't even there and it's the greatest day of my life, lol.

  • i had no idea they sung this holy shit, my new fav song! im so glad iaccidentaly clicked on this

  • Wow these guys were one of my fave bands when I was growing up (early 90's) so this is truly sad to see, the only decent ones are the bassist and drummer, i'll give the keyboard player the benifit of the doubt though as it appears they forgot to plug his keyboard in anyway!, Mike cant sing anymore and that guitarist is nowhere near the required standard. Now off to look for my copy of 'You fat bastards' (live at Brixton academy) on VHS lol.

  • @trevorevans12 OMG! I have that VHS somewhere lol.

Saw them live at Brixton aca in the early 90's..

  • I'm sorry i watched this now,my fav song!! the illusion is totally shattered!! still love them though.

  • who turned off the keyboard?

  • i dont give a shit if they did this for money... it is my fave song ... most played on ipod and no other song will change that lmfao :)

  • horrible tv mix

  • @TheInbornMechanics Who cares if they did it for the money? Well... I guess you care. You care a lot. But I don't. This is their job, after all. Don't forget that they are professional musicians. As in, playing music is their profession. They deserve to make money for it. Lawyers do their job to make money, car salesmen do their job to make money, so why is it a crime when a band does?

  • @uiruu

Probably because playing music is considered an art, while the professions you listed are jobs. Personally, I'm not against them doing this myself. I'd still pay to see them.

  • @CaptainCorpulence Artist is still a profession. Artists, no matter how influential and talented and Mike Patton they are, still need money to live. And fuck it, is there anyone complaining about this tour? No, not the fans at least. It's a win-win. They make money and we get to see them live once again. Although I'm fairly certain that was not their motive, I wouldn't really care if it was.

  • @TheInbornMechanics

This is absolute shit! Yes no doubt they did it for the money. Fuckin disgraceful. 20 years past their prime.

  • @TheInbornMechanics we can only hope! hahaha

  • @TheInbornMechanics Maybe they have yet write new material... I mean, RATM had a successful Festival Reunion tour as well, but they haven't released anything new either.. They're probably just getting used to playing together again and getting the creative juices flowing. At least one can hope for some new FNM in the future! I would love that too!

  • It's a shame it's not with Jim, but damned good anyway.

  • Guitar is wrong and can't hear keyboard hook. Otherwise they are still ok.

  • @petefader it's always funny when someone says that a band is playing their own song "wrong" haha

  • @pablodepacas This is not the original guitarist. Learn your shit.

  • @petefader I looked through the comments because I knew someone like you would post something dumb like this.

  • @rodneyshafer Yeah, I know what I'm talking about. Nothing dumb about stating a FACT to clarify things. Calling people names on youtube..now that's dumb. Sucks to be a loser I bet.

  • @petefader Perhaps but I find consolation in watching your tiny feelings get hurt. You obviously completely missed the point if all you cared to notice about the song were structural issues. Why look at it as a "formula" and not as exactly what it is: art that they created and are free to interpret as they so please.... I'm just sayin'

  • @rodneyshafer lol, you're such a troll.

  • @petefader Quite the contrary. I never even expected you to respond. But since you have, I still recommend you consider my proposal.

  • @rodneyshafer Hmmm... Perhaps, but I find consolation in watching your little feelings get hurt. It's their song and their art, it is theirs to interpret and manipulate. You obviously missed the point if all you noticed werenthe technicalities and structure of the song. Enjoy it for what is is: art.

  • Awesome! I was lucky enough to see them over 4 concerts from '92 to '97 with Jim, Trey and Dean as respective guitarists. I wish Jim was still in the line up with his Flying V! ;(

  • The SNL performances are really great they're taken down by SNL so don't bother trying to post them on yotuube. If you google search for Faith no more SNL there's other video sites that have it.

  • Patton being a fucking weapon as always! Got to see them last year in Dublin. Also, Helloween's cover of this is brilliant!

  • i got see them when these album came out.

  • yeah... the first was in... Portugal !!!

  • @vodkafone wasn't there, but seen it live on Sic Radical, COOOOOLLLLL, wish i was there!

  • I just learned Five Finger Death Punch did a cover of this song.... Just what the world needed... ANOTHER song by the infinitely talented Mike Patton being raped by a flavor of the month Nu-Metal band.

  • where is the keyboard, best part of the song, and i cant hear it!!!

  • @dafaucas Indeed, poor Roddy got the shaft...

  • Wow this doesnt even compare to the old live at Brixton version, either Mike is singing this like this on purpose or his voice has gone a fair bit; dont get me wrong, hes still one of the most versatile vocalists around.

  • @petecabrina are you for real! live at brixton had worst sound quality ever! it's complete shit and i,m a fan. i,ve seen them once when they toured with prong and the other time when they supported guns and roses. live at brixton indeed!

  • @daleyboyz

I dont know why you are making a big deal over it? Complete shit? REALLY? Give me a break. I am not so much talking about the sound quality, none of the live sound quality is good on here, I am talking about his singing. Just listen to the first 60 seconds of the old version, its like someone else is singing it compared to this. Each to their own; I dont see people complaining about the old version.

  • @petecabrina I think you are referring to the very nasal voice he used on the Epic album. I think that voice was a little out of character for Mike. I don't really here him doing it that much on anything else. It really is not a surprise to here him sing those nasal songs with out the nasal voice. It make me wonder if the only did that nasal voice at the behest of an album producer or something. I really liked the way he sang on Epic and wish he would do more of that nasal voice.

  • @devildad1620

I know what your saying but I think its more than that, the cleanness in his voice that I am talking about I also see on Angel Dust. Maybe its just these performances but I am just not sure his voice is what it once was, thats just life. All the avant garde stuff he has done over the years probably has not helped, especially the screamo type stuff. He has a great work ethic but maybe has not looked after his voice very well.

  • Someone on Youtube had them on SNL and now trhe vids are gone? If I post something and some fucker tells me to remove it, I will jsut repost it and tell them to FUCK OFF!

  • I miss Mike's whiny voice but FUCK! they're back!!! :'D

  • i think that karl sanders from nile is in the audience, either that or his twin brother

  • Genial, dass sie den Song wieder regelmässig spielen....:-)

  • evidence god is real, they are back :P

  • There show where by god he sounded just like he did in 1991, he doesn't typically sing the way he used to, I for sure wanna go these guys live when they tour the U.S

  • @ DOUR FESTIVAL 2010 !!!!!!

  • favorite faith no more song the groove in this song is unbelievablely catchy i play this to my gay ass friends who like pop music and they love this song!!

  • I've seen twice in the last four days and I really do like the way he sings it now. His voice is deeper than it was 20 years ago.

  • I dont think his voice has changed he just sings it different. I wish he would sing it more like the original though, I dont think he liked it much

  • MrAppletizer: I dont notice how Mikes voice has changed, well its changed but i think he still performs the songs basically the way he did before. What exectly do you mean? :)

  • thier drummer has a crazy technique on the drums

    he doesnt over lap

he must be left handed but learnd to play drums on a right handed drumset

  • @Marcus4president Mike Bordin is, in fact, left-handed, and he still plays a right-handed kit, to my knowledge.

  • @Marcus4president yup yup he's left handed :D

  • "Mike Patton could very well be one of the most versatile and talented singers in rock music", AGREED

  • Esse show foi foda, vcs não acham?

  • Saw these guys back in the early 90s with Helmet and the Flaming Lips. Awesome show. I couldn't find anyone who could go with me so I bought a single ticket, and when I got there my seat was not gone--I mean it was physically GONE--just an empty spot with the remnants of a broken seat bolted to the floor, so a kindly usher let me watch the entire show from the wings. A little stroll down amnesia lane . . .

  • I was there. Gloat, gloat gloat, Ha Ha. Fucking amzing gig. Never thought i'd see them live.

  • i think mike patton's voice has changed alot but not in a good way i prefered him before but still this band is brill :)

  • is that the same guitarrist?

  • No, this is Jon Hudson

  • Best band evah'

  • This is one of the best songs ever for me, Long live FNM!

  • Oh my gosh, you don't know idea how this man was in your perfomance here in Sao Paulo-BR. Jesus, i never thought that Mike would do a perfomance like this one. Really, i swear, i also agree this wasn't great, but here in SP, he was really really great in his performance. Everyone here said: Mike Patton is better than eleven years ago... And I agree with them! (sorry for my english..)

  • @ultrapoweredlasersig you might be correct, I have (and more than likely you), seen them live in their prime, and let's let this tour speak for itself, and see if he can get his vocals back in shape. I agree this wasn't great but let's just take a wait and see attitude on their funeral just quit yet

  • didnt you hear the lyrics "carve my initials in a tree, i will never leave"?

means more than you thinkin buddy

  • wow i got goosebumps, see you in March 2010 FNM!

  • I really wish they'd start playing Everything's Ruined or the Small Victory!

  • eu ia clicar em "good" but sem querer (mistake), foi em "bad". I agree with you, sorry, I love Small Victory!!!

  • PORTO ALEGRE i'll be there!!!

  • The one band I just have to see live one day

  • @eyeamgod79 The first concert I ever went to. Sorry, you can't touch me

  • Holy crap, I didn't expect them to bring this one into 09!

  • I think its a very meaningful song. I think its about when you become focused in meditation.

  • saw this at download 09 fucking awesome! fucking awesome!

  • This IS download 09....

  • mike patton nowadays sounds like a mad sometimes...but still like him

  • PERU open the southamerican tour

  • Thank you FNM to give a second life to this amazing band !!!

  • lol,so awesome..that song is older then 90% of that audience..great band

  • omg these guys are just amazing even better when ur standing right in front of them

  • Comment removed

  • so pissed off at these guys, fucking love them got holidays and gigs all sorted for 09 prior to xmas, then they go and fucking reform and i can't go and it's not fair :(

  • cool :P

  • i love how he is enjoying it as much as the crowd

  • What's up with the low keyboard volume? That melody is what the song is all about.

  • shit!!!! awesome

FNM one of my all time favorite bands

  • Is that the original guitarist?

  • not the original one, no. its jon hudson

  • aw fuck yeah..i heard about this but i didnt believe it..thats what im talkin bout!!!hope they tour the states..such a good band..

  • excelente !!!!

  • God...I would do ANYTHING to see this live...favorite song...favorite album...favorite band.

But seriously...get off the pumpkin farm already, Big Jim!

  • You must hate me then :) They were amazing, and this is and was by far their best song!

  • That's so true ,comment below is spot on .All these stupid bands don't know how to produce anything that even slightly resembles music ...........This was from the last of the generations that still could make music ,it's all FKD now .......

  • glad to see them back and teaching some of these new stupid "rock" bands how good rock n roll is made and what it is about...

  • New CD please??? =)

  • pretty cool relaxing music^^

  • Awesome! But miss JIM MARTIN!

  • What happened to him? Wiki says no action since 2002.

  • dude..their tour in 2009 has been so awesome..infact.. ia ma about to join their show in Leeds this Aug 30th, UK.

  • su puta madre, pedazo de voz sigue teniendo!! faith no more estan de vuelta!!!

  • will they release a cd of the concert???

  • Kick ass track, awesome band, amazing live set, now where is my wank stick?

  • Welcome back one of the best bands ever

    Thanx 4 the upload

  • Thank fuck they reformed, top band.

  • turn up the keyboard!!! Great performance... hope they come to the US

  • god I love this band!

  • haha I was there! THAT BIG ORANGE BALL WAS MINE! Don't Think Ill see that again ahaha, Me and my mates wrote on it then launched it! good times.

  • Patton seems Raul Julia in "Adams family" with that haircut

  • btw i think hudson had first dibs on guitar since he was a roommate of billy gould; not to say he sucked him off or anything, but i'm pretty sure it was a 'friend' thing.

  • there is better than stripsearch in the FNM catalog personally speaking like some of the songs i mentioned earlier. it may just be nostalgia, but i find jim martin's contribution better than hudson's; however, hudson came in pretty late, so he still has some more proving time with FNM fans of the older era.

  • i heard a couple of their 2009 tracks in europe already and i can't believe they haven't played the Cowboy Song, Underwater Love, the Morning After or Edge of the World in any of them. why? my theory is that either these have got to be jim martin's songs or mike patton can no longer produce the voice he had when he was younger, which made these songs great.

  • No I think it's a personal choice. Patton made a conscious decision on Angel Dust onwards, to stop singing in that whiney style and use his 'own' voice, which I think most people prefer anyway as there is no doubt, his vocal talent is amazing. More than likely it's not that he CAN'T go back to that, rather just doesn't want to. Just an opinion mind.

  • you could still hear him slightly nasalise on some angel dust tracks. if it's a conscious decision that doesn't explain why he doesn't perform the songs i mentioned earlier. even the song he's singing here (from out of nowhere) doesn't live up to early fnm live versions. it seems like he was in an energetic/happier mood on his TRT voice, but now he sounds like he's struggling to finish the song. i can understand him not wanting to associate himself with the TRT era,but it's killing the live song

  • exactly.. like i stated to others.. check out his song "a perfect twist" and various mondo cane tracks..even vanity fair by mr bungle.. he uses the nasally voice still from time to time when it fits the song

  • They better stick around for a while longer. I saw them on their last tour in 97. When the broke up I was like glad I saw them live. Now they're back together and I'm like fuck I want to see them again.

  • dam differenrt guitarist, thats not right is it, see what happens and i agree the sound aint quiet there, but to be honest, i glad they reformed, one of the best rock bands ive heard when they around the first time, great sound

  • this was amazing to hear live!

  • fuck yes

  • i see them last wednesday night at brixton and download. yeshhhhhhhhhh

  • I just wish they'd got a different guitarist. If they DO go back into the studio to write new songs, then Hudson isn't exactly the most creative guitarist in the world, is he? Certainly no Trey Spruance or Jim Martin

  • I think he does the job just fine. Ashes To Ashes is a killer track and he wrote the guitar for that didn't he?

  • If you want to hear where the FNM crunch went I suggest doing what someone else told me to do and search on youtube for a track called Disco Dust by Jim Martin. And by the way Jim had presence and personality in buckets just by being there with 2 pairs of glasses on and flying v chugging away.

  • yeah but fnm have wrote classic songs in the past with very little to no guitars.

  • JON is an amazing guitarist i saw him play and how hard he plays this amazing man, i never meet a more smart or humble guy like him in the rock world. he wrote strip serach and that an awesome song. don't talk about people that you don't know a thing about.

  • There is something about Stripsearch that really strikes a chord with me, Mr. Keeper of Giraffes :) I have live FNM performances playing in my headphones all day it seems at work....the Chariots of Fire transition into Stripsearch at this show is f-ing awesome :)

  • Comment removed

  • idk.. i think his guitaring is so concise and perfect in a lot of cases.. take the guitar solo from stripsearch and ashes to ashes.. he makes those songs.

  • Man, that was such an amazing show.

  • so annoyed i couldn't go :(

but one day! one day i shall see them!!!

  • Sounded a lot better when you were actually there, I think the sound recording isn't very good. It sounded amazing live I thought. They were amazing, best gig I've been to since Life of Agony

  • There appear to have been some instances in this 2009 Download performance where both the playing as well as the vocals were not 100% where you'd want or expect them to be.... I suspect they will improve though as they continue to tour... all FNM fans know Mike has some pipes... Give em a little slack! :)

  • Right. I've been to every show so far and of the five this is fourth. Brixton was better, as were Milan and Berlin.

(In Switzerland everyone was too blissed out on the Alps to be able to do much else... was awesome, ha ha ha.)

  • If youve waited 10 years to see them.. this was still 10/10 tho!

  • Yes, absolutely.

  • they been out for 12 years man give them slack!!! they worked there a** off for you to hear!!!

  • HEY I THINK THEY SOUND GREAT!! I love FNM! so stoked they are back after all this time. After a short while, they are going to be back ATOP my world and on top of their game!

  • mike is one of the best i have heard in a long time.

  • Red Curtain big as Malta and Patton dressed in red..what a subtle way to make FNM another Patton-Project ;)

  • They should come to Costa Rica!

  • Caralhoooooooo!

  • Thanks FNM for being one of the most creative bands ever - headed by an absolute legend in Patton - now get your asses down to Australia - Sydney to be precise!!!

  • I've still got my FNM t shirt I bought at their gig in 1990....I saw them in a small pub in Sydney. There was a only a few hundred of us...They have been my favourite band ever since!!!!

  • That is my massive blow up ball wooooo

  • I was there :D It was so amazing

FNM have been one of my favourite bands for about 8-9 years. Started listening to them when i was 4 (thanks to dad) :D

  • Yeah, they are back!!!!!!

  • it was absolutely immense!!!!

  • They were amazing!!! so happy i saw it!!

  • SUCH a good show! I was at the front to the left of the stage when looking at it... can't believe i've finally seen FNM, soooo amazing!

  • Mike patton fucking rocks shame this video isnt louder

  • was there representing the gower boyos

  • That's why you should play a les paul kids.

  • Hey, their former guitarist Jim Martin played and recorded this song with a Gibson Flying V and it sounded amazing.

  • yeh i wish he was there instead of the other guy

  • that other guy is awesome and the other man was not cuting it for the group and they hand picked jon so are you telling me that FNM has no real taste in music? i take that as a direct insalt to FNM!!!!

  • wtf all i said was i like jim martin better, jackass

  • Comment removed

  • Chill out. I like Hudson, but you can't tell me that he's better than Jim Martin or Spruance, because he isn't. Anyway, i agree that its brilliant to have them back together again.

  • Oh the jealousy!!! Thanks for the video post, so upset I missed it.

  • I was there too, was a very good set!

  • this was the best band i've seen live by far, patton was awesome

  • please come to canada!!!!! xo amazing

  • I bet they made some serious CHEE$E off those set of reunion shows.

  • well, they WILL yeah :)

  • i get the chills just by watching it. that's a rock and roll miracle :~
