  • This film is a genuine work of art, the beginning is stunningly beautiful in a visual sense. When I watch the intro, it reminds me of the epicness of the issues and imagery displayed in this work of art. The music is perfect, the ideas deep. What a film.

  • This movie is packed with subliminal messages, if you've ever studied meditation, hypnotism and neuro-linguistic programming you'll be aware of it. The audio throughout is of an experimental nature, that is a cover when you get deep into it. There is a constant presense of mystery and fear. It starts by long, calm and silent scenes, then long scenes when you can hear the breathe, then more silent scenes, then scenes with a steady beep, then when HAL is being deactivated it's a guided meditation.

  • Make this a dubstep, and i will tear out your throat.

  • @TheGreaterLegoman make another comment about dubstep on my channel, and i will return the favor.

  • Let's just say the best of luck came to me and I became a big-shot Hollywood producer and I get the rights to do a remake of this movie. What would you do to me?

    NEAT.

  • @MovieMaster0001 Remake it? But why? This is a piece of art, is it not? Would you remake the Mona Lisa, or King Lear, or Beethoven's 3rd symphony? Ask yourself, out of all the films in the world, 'is this the one that needs remaking?' Surely there are other films more in need of a remake than this masterpiece - films that failed in ways that this one didn't. Rather, should we not aspire to this film and remake other films in its image?

  • @MovieMaster0001 Smack you in the mouth. Don't ever, ever touch this masterpiece.

  • @theclarkthomas

It would be blasphemic if it was altered in any way, shape or form

  • @MovieMaster0001 reanimate Kubrick's body to strangle you with his penis.

  • @MovieMaster0001 I'd tell you to use the exact scene with the monolith on the moon. Can't get more bone chilling that that scene right there 0.o

  • @MovieMaster0001

    Scowl.

  • @MovieMaster0001 AND THEN I LOOKED HER DEAD IN THE EYE AND SAID. I ALSO ORDERED A PIZZA

  • @MovieMaster0001 I woul say you to keep your hands out of this movie. There is no point in remaking something perfect.

  • My first son was born in 1968 when this movie came out. Every time that I see the Star Child I think of that time and how fortunate I was to see the movie on the day it opened in Chicago.

  • When I say 90 degree angles, it's because of various things. For example, this opening is supposed to be viewed on its side. The cameraman in the moon pit flips the camera 90 degrees after each shot he takes. The psychedelic sequence, at one point, flips 90 degrees. And notice the symmetry in the moon pit. There are several spotlights aimed at the monolith. When the actual light itself joins together with the camera reflection, that loud noise beeps. It's symbolic if you pay attention.

  • @MovieMaster0001 kubrick movies are loaded with symbolism.

my favorite one for symbolism is the shining.

theres some english guy on youtube that narrates segments, breaks scenes down and really opens your eyes to things you would have never known kubrick was doing. it literally makes it a different, and much better movie to watch.

  • I finally understand this film! Pay attention to symmetry, alignment, and 90 degree angles. And try and keep an eye out for rectangular shapes and the manner in which they're used. The movie's central message--to me--is of enlightenment. It is of getting smarter, wiser. It may be scary and a bit unnerving at times, but it is a really optimistic film. The confusing ending--in my opinion--is of Dave Bowman getting wiser the older he gets, until he comes to the point of ultimate knowledge.

  • @MovieMaster0001 you've been watching rob ager over at collative learning have'nt you?

  • One HAL9000 Dislike....

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • wow... The one disliker should throw themselves into a pool of culture, and drown so they can see how stupid they are. How can a person not like this? If all music was a good as this, the world would be such a nice place for our ears. :3

  • Merci de me remémorer ce moment magique qui a tant de fois émerveillé mon enfance !

    Avec reconnaissance

Thank you very much for sharing....
