Just got this loco today with the Tsunami Decoder for $99.99. I got CP 1445.

Nice Unit, I got the Atlas MP15 in CP with DCC but no sound , and an Athearn Soo MP15 with all the trimmings on order. Nice to see that it's an awsome unit :)

I purchased unit 1428 a while back,without a sound decoder.Later I installed an MRC drop-in for this loco,and found the sound too tinny.I removed the speaker,and built an air tight box the size of the weight I took out earlier.Then reinstalled the speaker,and box in that location.The sound is much better!!!.

@BlueDevil2463 You are able to choose from different horns! I chose mine with a P5 and a Regular EMD bell!

@metroliner89 Sweet i cant remember the settings , for horns and what not , its not re-painted in CSX i belive my brother bought it off my dad . Also its a good yard locotmotive . We use are power realisticly so itso nly a yard unit to move a max of like 10 cars at a time . So its perfect for what its intentions are

They do look nice.. though I have yet to hear a decent sound decoder for a second generation EMD that is non-turbo charged. This is no exception, sorry MRC.

I have run one at our local hobby shop and it sounded flat and everything distorted in their own way. This was set to stock CV's.
