@artlander1 the part you are referring to is the "Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy" which opens the album of the same name. I always play that before the Song by written by Jerry Jeff Walker, because thats way NGDB put it down on a recording. The transition from verse to song is almost heart stopping and deserves to be together. Get CD by NGDB you'll never let go of it.

Ican remeber when i was about eight I received a little portable record player for cristmas and some 45s. Back ten music came on black disks called records (LOL)

but Mr. Bojangles was one of the recosrds I receieved. I played it anmd palyed it and played it . Them I tried to sing it as I gor older. This is a very hard song to sing and come out with comprable results to the masters. In any respect I could never sing the song.
