He's using the word prodigal in the wrong context; hes using it as a word to describe how he's running away from someone, when the word actually means 'rashly or wastefully extravagant'. Just thought I'd point that out- I like the song though.
@sarahemans He's is actually using it in the right context. A prodigal can be wastefully extravagant with his/her life also. Like someone who lives a life without purpose or direction.
@sarahemans It's okay. I was speaking from a spritual sandpoint. But it really depends on what's important to YOU for you to understand it from that perspective. Hopefully it will make sense to you one day.
@tedddd88 hahaha relax dude, stop making asumptions about me, thinking i dont get the prodigal son concept. well my parents happen to be pastors for the past 20 years, and Ive been a dedicated christian for a long time, so i think its really pretentious of you to say something like that, stop trying to shoot me down with ur 'holy superiority'. You really think ur gonna get someone to seriously consider your 'spiritual standpoint' with that kind of attitude-one ironically similar to the older bro
@sarahemans Well I apologize because I didn't mean to offend you, but if you understand the prodigal son concept, why do you say that the word "prodigal" is being used in the wrong context? Being a dedicated christian, I know that you know that the parable of the prodigal son is symbolic of one's life, in which he/she becomes 'wastefully extravagent' with the life that he/she has inherited. So, I honestly don't understand why you posted that in the first place. :)
@tedddd88 Because hes using prodigal as in some one running away, when thats not what the word means, yes the son went away from the father, but thats not what the word is about, its about being wasteful with ur life. it was purely a grammatical error- thats all.. lol i dont know why people care about the comment...
