john, yeah people here in the bay area turn their noses at traktor too, and at one time they did the same to all digital systems, even serato - the standard at most clubs.
as i remember, traktor made it very easy to mix but getting a correct bpm count without having to tap it in and go through an act of congress to get your grids and cues set sucked!
nice video. thanks for sharing. looks like you are well on your way to make your mark on the club scene. HEY WHAT LASER IS THAT? Unreal!!!!!
John: Do you really need to use laptop at this club trance events? If CD players are standard in particular club, then, by not using virtual DJ system, you can easier make fast DJ change without music interruption. (Sorry for my poor English, I hope you will understand what I mean.)
He doesn't have to, but he chooses too. It's not that hard or time consuming to connect a laptop up to a club system while the music is still flowing, and I sure there was no dead air whatsoever during the change of DJ's. If you are concerned that John is not using the CDJ's... he is... He uses time coded CD's with software... the laptop/software are there so he can bring all of his music with him more easily.
im using traktor scratch here , with time codes. its not very popular using this here, but i do anyway. ppl think ur cheating , cheating who i say . ??
it was hard to let go of vinal, its even harder for ppl to let go of cds. but soon they will when they c the cdj2000
why cant this happen in America anymore? GRRRRRRRRRR

Great one John B!
To improve the audio quality, you should look at something like the Rode Video Mic, if you have a accessory shoe on the camera.
