  • What a performance. I wish I had found this at Christmas but I will save it in my Christmas album. She is fantastic and you cannot overlook the choir and orchestra. All came together to make a beautiful piece of music in praise of the Lord. I somehow imagine that you can take this performance and multiply it by 100 thousand and it may be how the angels sing in Heaven. It is refreshing to find a talent like Sissel who also sings gospel.

  • Sissel is, without a doubt, the single greatest singer in the world ~ She belongs with the Angels of the Lord ~

  • Triumphal celebraation! Thank you vary much!

  • her voice can give any human goosebumps. and meldt even the coldest off hearts. shes is truly a treashure to all music lovers all over the world.

  • Sissel sounds more like a boy soprano

  • Wonderful, thanks for posting.

  • Sissel is SIMPLY THE BEST Soprana Worldwide

  • Lovely singing. TY sisselfan for posting.

  • This concert is available on DVD ... it is *SO* worth the price.

  • FYI, this is not Angels We Have Heard on High... This is Mack Wilberg's signature arrangement of "Angels from the Realms of Glory", a masterpiece of orchestral genius, the likes of which comes along a few times in a century (if we are lucky). Ms. Sissel's performance is among the best I've heard, and I've heard most of them.

  • @COSMOTOPPER777 Agree on all points!

  • this is a bad version angels from the realms of glory for the main song but the chorus is angels we have heard on high

  • This isn't Angels from the realms of glory, its Angels we have heard on high (or at least the tune they're singing the lyrics to are) right?

  • Beautiful production! I shared this at One Year Bible Blogging on facebook as I worked through the book of Zephaniah. Thanks for sharing.

Zephaniah3:9a "I will purify the lips of the peoples...all of them may call"

  • deserve more views

  • She's wonderful...What a treat to listen to and watch.

  • This is wonderful.

  • i almost died while listening to this song. I thought I was in heaven...

  • Wow this is wonderful. It would so nice to see this in person. Christmas gives us so much wonderful music about a much more wonderful gift God has given us-His Son. Glory to God for His unspeakable gift

  • this was beautiful, thank you! Like angels singing

  • i miss the christmas specially when i'm in my family and friends..go to midnight mass..singing a christmas songs..i miss philippines..i wnat to go..:'(

  • 3 people like Justin Bieber.

  • 3 dislikes? those people must have no souls....or ears?

  • One of the few songs I've heard that gets better with each verse until the very end!!! Amazing!!!

  • the new sensation in women. exelent . congratulations

  • unbelievable

  • My bf and i love to go to midnite mass where the choir sings this song and others, of course, but THIS rendition is absolutely so FANTASTICALLY GREAT that it is almost beyond being BEAUTIFUL..

  • Magnifica ejecucion Thanzk you

  • my favorite christmas song : )

  • Her voice is amazing!

  • Just wanted to add: This is so unbelievable gorgeous, the likes of Wagner and Strauss would pee their pants if they were able to listen to it.

  • They got Angels from the realms of Glory confused with Angels we have heard on High, the chorus for Angels from the realms of Glory is supposed to be "Come and Worship, Come and Worship, Worship Christ the newborn King."

  • yeah lol, how could they mess that up, maybe it was purposeful

  • In the German and French versions of this song, the chorus is also "Gloria in excelsis deo".

  • They follow the version in the Oxford Book of Carols, which has the tune of "Angels we have heard on high" which derives from the French hymn "Les anges dans nos campagnes". The OBC gives two versions of the refrain, "Come and worship ..." and "Gloria in excelsis ..". The choir have chosen the Latin alternative.

What a blockbuster, bigger than Ben Hur, angels and all!

  • beautiful.

  • Magnifico video mi ser espiritual te da las gracias sisselfan.

Sissel esta preciosa . parece un angel , canta como angel. debe ser un angel.

  • Sissel's voice is much better than the voice of many internationally known sopranos.

  • I agree with you VERY MUCH!

  • ça c'est vraiment le Paradis...

  • I had the wonderful opportunity to see this live. It is by far the best musical concert I have ever attended. Sissel's voice, the choir, and the arrangements were absolutely inspiring and from heaven.

  • i did not know that this was the name of this song! luv it!

  • So beautiful, it did sound like it came from heaven. :O

  • They have done this for several years in a row. The organ at the Conference Center is so much better than at the Tabernacle. I have watched years of this, and this is the best. She doesn't over-sing and the audio/video engineers got this one right. Too bad Craig Jessop is gone. Mack Wilberg is a genius arranger and a great conductor too, but you can see and hear from more recent performances that the Shaw influence that Craig had is gone. They are still a wonderful organization.

  • But it's from heaven.

  • So wonderful that it is not real. It must to be from heaven!!

  • Great Christmas songs sung by wonderful Sissel Kyrkjebø

  • Wonderful performance, Sissel is a very great singer. I love her voice pretty much and this is so amazing. Thanks for sharing this with us.

  • Amazing amazing! So pretty it brought tears to my eyes!
