@onlywhenpissed Certainly for the fuel bill ha ha. This is a definite sleep in the van job, for the most part, but it is unforgettable. Digs are available, but there isn't much habitation, and it would be expensive, but it's all worth it, You only live once, and one day, You won't be physically able to do all this.........So do it whilst You can.
@onlywhenpissed Matt, this is a 'Must Do' along with Bass Rock, St Abbs, The Stacks, Ramsey Island, Skye, e.t.c. it is just compulsary. This was probably my best day in a Sea Kayak, it is hard to say for sure, but watch the "Handa Island", "Great Stack of Handa", and "Scotland - Sea Kayak Heaven".......and it's all the same trip,on the same day, it was awesome.
@iviewthetube 58 23' 16.24" N 5 11' 49.43" W It is just near Scourie, which is North of Ullapool. Check out the photos, there are some crackers. Also, check out my other video "Scotland Sea Kayak Heaven" it is of a cave on the return from Handa, it is really special.
@BUDDIEBOY66 Don't go getting the idea my ability is good,I'm actually quite poor, inspiration indeed for anyone fancying a go - If I can do it,you will also be able, give it a go and see!!
@onlywhenpissed Beyond Brill,I think. If I'd arrived a couple of weeks previous the bird life would have been at its peak - but the weather would've been dire!
@thomasks3 You're one of very few to comment on the music,I spend hours on it all,the video editing is easy, trying to marry it with music is a different ball game, and it's all composed by myself, these places really inspire me.I will load another in the next day or so - a cave on the return journey, that turned out to be extra-special.Your compliments take you to the top of the class! ha ha .
@TESSAandSAVVY Surely your talking about me!! ha ha ,no you're right,it is an amazing, wild place, unbelievably perhaps,I think the video doesn't fully do it justice. If I pointed the camera up,there was too much contrast,so I kept the viewing angle fairly low.The bit between the stack and the Island is 100m,or 300ft deep, and is really spectacular,at times if you look up you will see the odd seabird and get a better idea of the scale.
Well worth waiting on Frank, great shots of the caves and the stack. As you say first landed on by Donald McDonald, first ascent from sea level by a couple of lads from my
@stevenatleven My mate's wife is from Dundee - Maggy, she's like a volcano ready to erupt at the drop of a hat! ha ha she's deranged, she'll also give me the "Glasgae Kiss" if she reads this !
