Having seen Whitesnake two weeks ago, (they were amazing!) & getting to meet Doug, Reb and Brian & seeing Frampton play impeccably tonight (more than 3o performances throughout my lifetime), I'm feeling quite lost and can't find my way home. Today's music sucks in comparison and I want to be back there in all our glory when men could sing to make you cry and played hard core that you could actually feel. Anyone found a time machine yet? Thanks for the post!
Great song! It's like you get a two for one deal with this song. Nice and mellow in the beginning and then towards the end it kicks you in your ass.:)
The House of Lourdes did a great job doing this remake of Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home". Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, and the rest of Blind Faith did a great job introducing this 1969 tune with great lyrics. House of Lourdes made this a smash hit once again. Clapton and Winwood did this tune at Madison Square Garden not that long ago. It was a great performance as well.
Great song, great band. Brings back what Rock N Roll needs TODAY! Just read a forum on producers, engineers and producers...They are tired of EMO and one hit wonders, they want rock n roll back, screaming leads and howling vocals, thunder and lightening bass & drums. Can't blame them!!!
"Shorty" was the singer for many L.A. major bands. great singer. best known for a stint with Quite Riot, and his own long-time band, Rough Cutt. used to play with him too, in the Late 80's.
band called Northrup. good dude. not sure who this is, but he's great too. had that same "Hoarse" rought throat quality that is really soulful. Rock on dudes!
In way shape or form was belittling Michael I hope he didnt take that way I just happed to be roommates with Doug during his first band Mansfield then Lion .. he hwas in those groups before he did the solo but that reaklly helped launch his carreer . I rememebr your band when I lived in Hollywood I was in a glam bnad called Chastity that played with Julliet and Asphault Ballet etc I now have two cover bands up here in the BaY Area called Mystique and Zebop! I have some videos posted
No worries fredyniner, I'm sure Michael would tell you the same thing himself. He's been very honest about his dealings with Simmons & HOL. It's been years ago now and Michael is a successful, high powered CEO himself... with a gorgeous wife and beautiful son. But, back then, he was forced to take legal action against Simmons / HOL. And Simmons settled, so that tells you something about who was right. Personally, I think Michael should write a book. But, he's too nice (and too busy) to do that.
Michael Guy, guitarist #1 in this video, was my boyfriend and lead guitarist for nine years. Our band, "New York" was signed to a deal (we changed our name to "New York Rocks" when we were sued by Gene Simmons, due to his prior production of a band with the same name), We were in the studio with Neil Merryweather, who produced Lita Ford's first solo album "Out For Blood", when Michael was approached by Simmons to play for HOL. Guy joined HOL and shortly after was fired for humping Greg's girl!
i have met james, the house of lords is regrouped with 2 of my bet friends in the band jimi bell on guitar and bj zampa on drums. i got to help hol out at a few shows great band
Giuffria was hell of a band. The singer David Glen eisly has a vocalchord unlike many. This is Giuffria just with another name and another singer. Both are good but personaly I like Giuffria better. I mean Craig Goldy's guitar solos mixed with Eisly's vocals are incredible. Like Turn me on, Rock n roll politics and many more.
Very good version.Singer nails the vocal,Steve Winwood would be impressed.

Regardless of what ex girlfriends or ex wifes are saying about Mike Guy. The FACT is Doug Aldridge DOES THE BLOODY LEAD GUITAR PLAYING ON THIS SONG!

His name is James Christian...He's still keeping House Of Lords going, even though he's the only original member left.
