We waste far too much energy, a good example is the vacuum cleaner.
Air Recycling Technology if used in Vacuum Cleaners could actually save each year in the UK, an amount of energy equal to that generated by 800 Medium sized wind generators.
That is 1.5 TWh of electricity worth £225,000,000 and 650,000 Tonnes of CO2, Emissions. And a saving of more than 25 Twh of electricity annually is possible in the EU. Equal to £3.25 billion pounds and 13.5 million tonnes of CO2.Emissions.
Newt touches on many important points. He makes sense about the different types of energy. I read many comments and people are just to dishonest to tell the truth. He focuses on many different types of energy, why do some try to only argue on point? France, Japan also use Nuclear energy, so why not include them in the conversation? Jackasses are those that don't face the truth.
this guy is basically saying china doesn't give a shit about the environment so why should we? oh yeah sudan doesn't care about human rights, why should we? jackass
@gsuitter -- Learn about United Nations Agenda 21 before you vote. You'll see the candidates in an entirely new light and you'll be able to cast a vote to save America as we know it. Most Democrats and some Republicans have bought into the idea of one world government and global redistribution of wealth. Learn how to recognize them!
You know i'm getting tired of people throwing around "if you do what i say it will create more jobs."
Because be it the democrats or the republicans ideas, they would both probably support their lobby/interest group to create more jobs in their respective sectors.
That aside, I think supporting energy industry that rely on exterior resources is a bad idea. If oil isn't the problem then the next source of energy such as gas, nuclear fuel will be.

What makes you think Nuclear, Coal, and Oil aren't subsidized?
Coal gets 3 billion dollars a year in subsidies, Nuclear 1.2 billion, with expected 100% taxpayer capital financing.
Oil? Just consider the military spending needed. It's in the trillions.

@GreenChurchReject A congressman just stated on CSPAN that the co2 level's are higher then they where 15,000,000 million years
ago, and that at that time we lost almost all the ice. They state 75 to120 feet of water was added to the ocean.
This is at the door beloved right now. add holes in the Ozone, on and on. we

Actually the irony of his approach is "SUBSIDIZE THE HELL OUT OF NUCLEAR AND COAL"
I wish Solarthermal or Geothermal got as much subsidies and financing and Coal/Nuclear already do.

But as for China/India he's leaving out that both these countries have a lot of desert, a lot of sand, and expansive electricity grids.

when did i say it would or wouldn't be subsidized? Your tangential comment are just seeking to change the subject.
