I PLAY AMPEG TOO BITCHESSSSSSSSSS hes my favorite ever....but yeah my ampegs better..sorry ian.......it's not your fault man.......you have a different style now....but yeah...I got a pre-distortion VT-22........HAHA BITCHES
I prefer Gloss Drop over Mirrored, but I got into them first through their EP then Mirrored, and rate Tonto & Atlas. I saw them for the second time this year last week in Sheffield and they played both Atlas and a snippet of Tonto! Best gig I 've been to in a long time.
@FlyingFuckstorm i'm not not-letting them do anything: i'm observing how every fan of theirs I ever met and knew has been completely alienated and lost to them. battles can do what they want - and maybe they'll have a whole new gen. of fans that didn't like 'mirrored' but love 'gloss drop' or even come to love both - when you witness yourself a 180 turnaround by any and all of their immediate fanbase, you're gonna comment on it. radiohead ... don't even get me started on radiohead. so indulgent.
@queenmcsleaze The only way someone could find Radiohead 'indulgent' is if they hadn't heard that much experimental music, because they're fairly entry level.
@FlyingFuckstorm i thumbed-up this comment, because while it's the opposite of what i was saying, i feel your answer is well-balanced and thought-out and a proper response. i actually believe what you're saying. as it so happens, i have an exposure to experimental music that's so close and familiar it's kind of in the blood. i'm very fortunate to have those experiences. in radiohead's case, i meant indulgent in the sense of the shoe-gazing, single-emotional-level approach. tom needs to relax.
happy to see they play stuff off Mirrored sans Braxton, was dissapointed when I saw them and they did'nt, hopefully next month when I see them again they will. Heres hoping they play tonto xx
Battles is one of the most impressive (and progressive) bands I've seen in a long time. Can't wait to see them rock the Mayan Theatre in LA in a few weeks
the singer left the band while making their second album. they now use a loop of a children's choir for this song. pretty impressive how they make technology work in their music.

@silentjob In my opinion
Tonto > Gloss Drop = Atlas > the rest of Mirrored > EPs.

GET A SINGER
queenmcsleaze 3 months ago
They need a singer - without Atlas, and what's great about it, so many more people would not know a damn thing about them, and that's a bad thing.

@queenmcsleaze Right, Radiohead should return to playing shitty rip offs of U2 because Creep was the song that got them famous.
Let the band do whatever the fuck they want, as a whole Gloss Drop was a more solid album than Mirrored.

Maybe if you don't listen to much music, they don't do anything extremely out of the ordinary for the most part.

@FlyingFuckstorm i don't disagree/agree - i don't understand what you mean.

Battles is way better as a 3 piece act. Gloss drop is infinitely better than mirrored.
