This is real, Billie Joe Armstrong also tweeted on Twitter of how he wrote Haushinka based on a real girl around the same time he wrote Basket case however he didn't release it in an album untill Nimrod.

This song was written (and perfromed) by Green Day in 1992, released in 1997 with Nimrod. It was not played at McGregors, and there is no live video for it,which is what the uploader is claiming. So in that respect, yes it is fake.

If you're a musician - proficient in bass, who knows Green Day to the tee (a'like myself), you'll notice Mike Dirnt is playing the lines to "2,000 Light Years Away" - he's hitting a C-Flat rhythm, 4 measures in before Billie starts singing - obvious....

The audio track IS actually Green Day - there was an mp3 of it from their VERY early website back in the late 90's. But this is not it's video. Green Day wrote this and "Time of Your Life", among others, long before Nimrod.
