  • Ahhhh the japanese X3

  • Exquisite maiko's kimono and dancing- but the song is dreadful. Most Japanese songs sound like strangled cats.

  • great dancing! =)

  • any american dance will lose in this epic dances...westerner dances isn't that great...except Greek.

  • @mendozajanrae What about Spanish flamenco, Russian ballet, Irish Riverdance?

  • @BeeSnitchin Russian Ballet and Irish Riverdance....yeah yes those are epic...but not as great as this though IMO, and oh, for Spanish Flamenco...I'd say its crap.

  • @mendozajanrae Really? Well, we all see things differently. I see flamenco as sexy, passionate and graceful. Have you see the awesome Chinese ballet acrobats doing Swan Lake?. Seeing is believing!!

  • @BeeSnitchin Well I have to agree when it comes to Chinese dances...see, if its Asian, I maybe amazed..but for westerner traditional dance, its a few. Specially those...copied from Asian...but if westerner dance that I like...which of them you mentioned, yes I do like, (Irish and Russian)...but never for Spanish...Capoeira maybe.

  • @mendozajanrae Interesting- as there are some historians who believe that flamenco actually originated with Indian temple dancing.

  • @mendozajanrae I do recommend you see the Chinese acrobatic version of Swan Lake- part Western ballet, part Chinese traditional jaw-dropping flexibility and balance- simply amazing.

  • Way to show us your dance accent!

you should check out our dance accent channel!

Let us know what you think of our dance accent.

  • Maybe foreigner can not understand what the meaning of the dancing. The dancing

is telling a short story by her movement. The audiences image the story with pure mind.

  • what's the title of the song and who is the singer??

  • what's the title of the song and who is the singer??

  • can iasks you a question?do you know the website of the japanese parasol dance figure 5?if u know can you please tell me thanks!

  • nicely done!

  • I love her kimono, well done dance.

  • where did this take place? what was the dance about?

  • What a beautiful kimono, the orange obi contrasting with the blue in the kimono is so lovely.

  • Erm I like it but the sound qaulity :/

  • i love her umbrella

  • It's a parasol. (sp)

  • もう最近じゃ舞妓になる人も減ってきてるのが残念(´・ω・`)

    着物はいつでも着れるけど

  • jzs toe hudba.. !!! jak to upa hřčíííí :( jinak tanec peknej :)

  • If the name appearing at the beginning indicates anything, she's a foreigner whose name is Joy Abraham.

She probably has been practicing for this stage.

  • wat is this song about? it sounds scary.....

  • HAHA. that made me laugh. Maybe it wouldn't have been as scary if they had better sound quality, because the sound quality is torture really.

  • oooh she was so cute! the kimono is very cool, i've never seen such a colorful kimono^^

  • I LIKE THE KIMONO!!!!

  • i like the kimono!! so colorful! hey it is okay??? i get some steps of this dance for my japanese parasol dance??? tnx :)

  • I had a feeling it wasn't professional. REally good for an amatuer.

  • Well, the panel at the beginning says "Maiko - Joy Abraham", so...

  • my god that kimono is very expensive!!!

  • that was lovely! it looked realy good concidering she is only a meiko! ( I think)

    thanks for posting!

  • This woman was dressed up like a Maiko, you can tell by her kimono [this type called a furisode] (the long, hanging belt called an obi and the long sleeves too) but she's not a real one. I'm not even sure they dance with umbrellas anyway...

  • Umbrellas are a rather common prop in Japanese traditional dance, although they probably would be used only for dances on stage (as here) and not at a zashiki, for space reasons.

  • Ahh I see, I didn't know about this, thanks for clearing that up ^^

  • she may not be really professional, but looks like she practised a lot.

i like the second part very much :3 she's beautiful.

  • Love the kimono, loathe the caterwauling.

  • cheap barnstorming troupe

  • horrible recording of the sound....this is a crime

  • Definitly it's not a professional geisha.

  • This is not good at all. This girl has no control over her movements. Pitiful.

  • what our name they music???

  • lol

    what is are???

  • ils devraient changer les musiques, c'est ce qui gache la danse je trouve :s Ils n'ont pas la flute fine >>

  • This is not done by a pro dancer, right? It just looks real amateur stuff but good effort never the less.

  • Nope doesn't look like it.

    But a nice try.

  • learn some foreign language... otherwise... thank you for calling me smart.

  • Why Make Such A Fuss Over A Video ?

  • actually it has meaning, each move has a symbolic meaning..

  • so must i study the symbols of japanese dance and then to watch at this to understand the meaning? thats even more boring.

  • Did I ever say that you must study it to watch this? I didn't and I enjoyed watching this video even I didn't understand the meanings. none forced you to watch this, geez -__-

  • And I respect it, but just I wanted to let you know that it actually has reasons, so maybe you could get more excited about it. At least I would.. So sorry if my comment seemed rude to you

  • well, then my mission is complete :D

I'd love to read that book but..I haven't found it yet in libraries :D

  • you can watch the movie on youtube but the book is much better. and i have it on my favotites, if you want take a look.. kisses**

  • ok thanks :)

  • Why Make Such A Big Fuss

  • you are simple and ignorant might i add

  • you ar rude trying to interfere into an itellectual arguement. squatterbred thats what you are... puta ka!

  • "you ar rude trying to interfere into an itellectual arguement. squatterbred thats what you are... puta ka" BLUDICKO...First i'd like to say bravo for making yourself look very "smart" with what you wrote. learn how to spell and if you want to call people names for sharing their OPINION on a subject..try doing it in english....=0P

  • oh shut up who really cares if bludicko made a few spelling mistakes you can make comments if you disagree with what he says but making fun of his spelling is just dumb and it just makes you look retarded. dumb, dumb.

  • you may make your spelling correct but the content of what you wrote was horrible. so what ? ok what i said in english is " you are a whore of the lowest kind.satisfied?

  • she look like a dool!!! a pretty dool!!

  • This is a very beautiful dance. The Geisha are quite elegant.

  • Too bad it isn't a geisha in this clip, lol

  • I have never seen Japanese fabric that wasn't astonishingly gorgeous. How do they do it? All those colours, and they never clash- just amazing!

  • I love japanese music and dance.

    xx

  • OMG, are u SERIOUS?!

Wow, Miss Nandi, you are definitely a dancer of all trades. Is there any style you won't do? Anyways, are you going to stick with one of these styles? Or are there more to explore on your plate? :D

  • the static ruined the music

  • It might be the video quality. Hmm...

  • nice furisode, but the dance did not really draw me in.

  • vary pretty furisode you have there
