I know some would say, comments don't mean much, however, this is such a large tutorial that it is a bit overwhelming. Maybe the way cybergamearts is breaking it down is better, but i want to know how to render this game a little faster or change the graphix or make it smoother for my computer: the Hewlitt Packards.
when i create solid objects in the cryengine and i'm going to play (ctrl + g) i can walk right through them.. so the 'solid objects' aren't really solid... how can i fix this? The cryengine launcher doesnt work!
I'm curious about the map size. Is there any way to increase it after you have worked on it? I know there are things like "Resize" however, when I use them, they ruin my map, so this isn't a viable way to adding more content onto it. I'm looking at making an extremely large map for a game, and an just curious about this.
Thanks for the tutorial! But, if you have time, PLEASE cover quickly how to import to Cryengine 3 from 3ds max or Sketchup! I got up to importing to the correct file type, but I can't find it in the Brush/Object browser. Thanks!
when i click on editing for my block i made, my block turns kina blue and when i select a vertex point i can only move it inside the marges of the box, not like you did to the outside.
This is the first problem i come across since i checked your video's so keep up the good work!
@HiredGunGames 3ds Max and Maya are both excellent modelling programs. #ds Max is optimized for high quality film rendering. This is not to say that you cannot do so with Maya, however, Maya's optimization is for games rather than film.
ok umm.. what im trying to say is... when i play, it doesnt feel like it does when i play HALO. it's slower but tank rotations are speedier and such.

@FreshLabelMusic that is just weird. I do not have a solution for that, but I can tell you that the Engine is very buggy

Spid3rbyteZ 5 months ago
@Spid3rbyteZ i think its how complex the exports are. also maya is for mainly animations and max is for mostly for modeling and rendering
