So where is the link to show the rules to sune? My fish was facing like yours but it just didn't work. I found this alg for sune at cubewhiz (and it worked): (R U R' U) (R U'2 R')
i like this guys tutorial right up until this point cuz he didnt show that ther was the sune and anti sune and the algorithm for the cross and that there was allan and anti alan so ya...dont rlly like the last step of this tutorial
@ramdac thatle be rlly awsome thanks i always wanna learn new ways to solve it and see what i like better. i mean i loved the way u solve the last part right after the 2x2x3 block, ya that was rlly nice so thats the way i do it now but the last layer is not rlly a sped method
nice vid. Instead of using allan to fix the top edge pieces, you can use algs from solving a siamese cube. just watch thrawst's vid on how to solve a siamese cube. its easier, shorter to memorize, and it doesnt take long. thanks
hey could you make a video on other petrus method top layer algorithms? because i checked Lars Petrus' website, there are other cases for the top layer. Thanks.
for AllanTM, isn't it a variation of the original layer by layer on the rubiks website algo for turning the edges counterclockwise? I realise that Allan is bascially the rubiks algo at a different face
hey you're walkthrough is great so far, but i'm getting stuck on the "sune" i just keep doing it over and over and i the red top doesnt solve for me? is there some kind of special for the pieces or something?
You probably remember the part about the fish right, well that was helpful. when you apply sune it rotates the colors on each corner clockwise except the corner on the front right top
I understand what Niklas is supposed to do, I was able to do Petrus a year ago but I stopped cubing. So I came back to refresh my memory but the Niklas algorithm u gave us isn't seeming to work
wow. i watched ur videos on the petrus method and now i can do it! ur very clear and u explained it well. unlike lots of other videos i watched! so thankyou!
had the same problem... put the completed side on the right face. i think if your doing reverse allan it goes on the right... havent tried it but two allans makes a reverse allan so yeah just put finished side on the right
sune is in the basic layer by layer solve so it should be easey and if you learned the layer by layer solve it will help to under stand how it works ps from herw you can use the basic method
u know that u dont have to have the top layer in a serten order when u solve it. u can just do that last. it makes it a lot easier to see when everything is supposed to go.
I NEVER end up with a red cross by the time I fumble my way through the F2L step. What am I doing wrong? I can do the cube in 60 seconds using the default instructions that come with it, IDK if I'll ever be faster using this I just cant seem to grasp it.
Ok, thanks. I just have one more question. Is there a faster way to match the corners on the part right before niklas? because It takes me a long time to do that no matter how much I practice.
Thank you for making these videos. You are possibly one of the best at teaching this on youtube. I just have one question. Are you going to make a video on how to get faster at solving a rubik's cube using this method? I have done plenty of practice, and the best I can get is a minute and some seconds. I would like to improve to 30-40 seconds.
Keep Practicing. Slow down until you can solve smoothly, by looking ahead and not having to pause while you find the next step. Do this many many times until you can do it smoothly before you start speeding up. The "untuitive" method for putting together blocks has no rival. Keep practicing. Break the solve down into steps and time yourself on each step. Take averages. Focus on each step until you feel you can do it absolutel no faster.
I'm glad I could help> i tried to be as detailed as possible. If you're having any problems at all, let me know. I'll be happy to record a helper video.
Why does he name the moves

for the reverse allan, isn't the algorithm R R U Bi F R R B Fi Ui L L?
717chris1 1 year ago
@717chris1 No, in your notation it would be R R U Bi F R R B Fi U R R, but that notation is silly, try this R2 U (F B') R2 (F' B) U R2

lev830. Yeah this is probably the worst video from all my tutorial videos. Perhaps I will post a new one that shows how to do this step better.
thanks for the constructive criticism!

In Niklas, you can do-
y R Ui Li U Ri Ui L
And instead of Allan, you can refer to Fridrich algorithms to move the edges clockwise or counterclockwise.
VagrantWatcher213 2 years ago
too much fluke you got there dude.. there's still so many circumstances to explain..

Thanks I got it! Sorry, but I accidentally hit 1 star, haha. You deserve 5 though.

Great tut!
Faster than AllanTM, though, is Li U Li Ui Li Ui Li U L U L2
Same amount of moves, but easier/faster to do because you only turn 2 layers.

same, I don't have the upper cross as well. I think it's because I couldn't get it the upper cross on the 3 a part.

T42Steel 2 years ago
yes there is. you can also do the anti-sune algorithm, it's just the mirror of sune. try it.
kahosin890 2 years ago
make sure you twist the top correctly when you do sune. there are cases where you need to turn the cube and THEN do sune
ramdac 2 years ago
Thanks. I don't understand english very well if i read it but if someone speaks it i understand it better.
Desick 3 years ago
can i twist all the corners, other than sune, with only one ALGO, since i have to do sune more than once if i dont have a fish formation.???

allen isnyt working its just scrambling my cube.

Personally I don't see the point of the Petrus LL. I still insist that Petrus F2L + Fridrich LL is the fastest. But that's just my opinion.

A great tip for doing Petrus that can lower your time by literally a minute is learning the seven OLL's (and PLL's if you want to get faster)

i know that L,R,F stands for left, right, front and U for up one thing i dont know does B stands for bottom or back??? reply pls!
joelgutierrez66 3 years ago
B stands for back. i think "D" stands for down (aka the bottom layer)
