nas is the best no 1 comes close. Fuck every other artist just listen to Nas!!!

  • This was after illmatic kid

  • @BigFishSmallPond831 I know it's explained in the description

  • @BigFishSmallPond831 how?? this style sounds older then his shit from 94 when illmatic dropped. the beats sound old and more classic. the static 2. it sounds earlier. i believe its still from late 91 early 92

  • @DaOldSchoolRapLova96 The producer himself explained that it was post Illmatic, but before the Raekwon collaboration. 1995 is what he said

  • @exkimo64 ight den i guess its 95. wow it doesnt look like it but oh well

  • can you send me this album because it is not on the links anymore

  • @extinct327 I'm going to re-up the link. Copyrights got the links taken down

  • @exkimo64

    alright thanks man

  • where did you find this?? how come it says in the info"deja vu(vinyl quality)" there was never even put on wax

  • 1995

  • Comment removed

  • Heres a toast to my foes, trees, and women, its like a whole new beginning... nas is a fucking legend

  • the first verse is from reakwon - incarcirated scarfaces

  • @vegagas921 i meant verbal intercourse LoL

  • Definitely a 92 93 ora to this track. I can vision ridin around in my Isuzu Amigo smokin a philly listenin to this @ the Platue on a slow day in Philly.

  • @kimera808 post illmatic

  • @NICKD92570 Yeah I know it just reminds me of my era & the vibe before & around when illmatic dropped.

  • @NICKD92570 Yeah I know it just reminds me of my era & the vibe before & around when illmatic dropped.

  • Man that picture is something i never experienced but i wish i did. I am 14 and i wish cameras still had that type of style. The new type of cameras are nice but that classic look just makes it seem so chill and nice.

  • this came after illimatic but the way it sounds.........it seems like it is right around when illmatic was coming out or before it.

  • does anybody else think this could very well be Nas' best song?? It's definitely in my top 3 favorite Nas songs.

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper The producer of the track came forward and said after Illmatic but before the Raekwon collaboration for Verbal Intercourse

  • Something just occurred to me. All these dope beats that was demos, OG versions, or just never got released on the final albums by Nas, Pac, B.I.G., and all these other cats is just lying around. Wouldn't that technically mean the producers could still give them to somebody else? Cause if I had a record deal I wouldn't get no new beats made, I'd go to Premo, Pete Rock, Tip, Dre, Quik, and all the older producers and just snatch up the beats they was making in the 90s for my albums!

  • WTF?? its his verse from Raekwon's Verbal Intercourse thumbs up that everybody can hear the song he reused this in 94-95

  • @christopheergin We know, this song is from his Demo in 1991.

    It wasn't released.

  • @XanderBBo No it's from 1995 but it was made before Verbal Intercourse. The producer stepped forward and gave all the details about the song and what happened

  • @exkimo64 It's on Nas' 1991 demo tape...

  • @XanderBBo This album was advertised as being from 1991/1992 when I found it and posted it however it is not. Some tracks are pre-illmatic but some are from in between Illmatic and It Was Written

  • @christopheergin why do you need thumbs up for that. everybody knows this

  • " plant seeds to stampeed the globe" he killed this shit

  • He used the same first verse on Verbal Intercourse with Raekwon

  • can anyone tell me the meaning of this song,Nas ripped it but i dont understand how the title "Deja Vu" has anything to do wit his lyrics?

  • Nas deja vu >>> eminem deja vu

  • Bitches aint shit!

  • this shit personifies old school hip hop

  • regardless what age he was when it was made, god knows why it wasnt put on an album.

  • @YoungW13 The label issues kept from ever seeing light

  • @exkimo64 na the lables kept it an issue cause nots spits ttruth and the industry doesnt want people seeing the light

  • @YoungW13 think it had to do with legal issues over something, at least the first verse made it to verbal intercourse

  • Nas was born in 73.... this is from his demo in 92. You do the math.

  • @DivineUniversal Wrong. This was advertised as being 92 but since I posted it and it's release it has been discovered to be from 95.

  • im glistening

  • These are some of the simplest lyrics I've ever heard. Seriously, these raps are below average

  • @DrizzyDrakeIsGod i know your being sarcastic

  • @DrizzyDrakeIsGod this is comin from somone who thinks drake is god. nas was killin it when drake was in diapers

  • @DrizzyDrakeIsGod

Through the lights cameras and action, glamour glitters and gold

I unfold the scroll, plant seeds to stampede the globe

When I'm deceased, by then the beast arise like yeast

To conquer peace leaving savages to roam in the streets

the opening bars are 100 times harder than any drake rap about "white wine" and crying about girlfriends.

true hip hop back to the essence!

  • @DrizzyDrakeIsGod see, what you dont understand is this....NOT ONLY WAS NAS ONLY 19-21 YRS WHEN HE MADE THIS, not only does DRAKE RAP LIKE NAS-JUST A DIFFERENT SUBJECT MATTER(BIT HIS DELIVERY AND TWISTED IT) drake only draw from niggas like NAS to mold his craft...NAS FLOW ON THIS SONG CAN MATCH BAR FOR BAR WITH ANY DRAKE SONG!!! and btw, this joint is almost 20yrs old!!! and u really think drake is the future??SMDH

  • how old was nas when he made this!!!!

  • @endlessnteer how ever old he was in '95 (before he made Verbal Intercourse)

  • @endlessnteer no older than 19 im pretty sho

  • Comment removed

  • @endlessnteer 19 years old!

  • So raw and deadly.

    ***JuBE$kii***

  • Wait i dont understand, isnt the first verse the one he used for verbal intercourse with rae and ghost.

  • @AIFRANCHISE1 It was recorded around 1995 before Verbal Intercourse, but label issues the song would never see an album so Nas re-ussed Verse 1 for Verbal Intercourse and Verse 3 for Cormega's "40th Side of things"

  • @exkimo64 much love appreciate it.

  • @AIFRANCHISE1 No problem. Peace and much respect.

  • I don't get how this didn't make the final cut!!

  • Comment removed

  • love dis

  • i want this instrumental so badly..

  • WHO PRODUCED THIS JOINT????

  • @josecahouse It says under the video OR even better you could click the link in the video screen to the vinyl quality version I posted and it says IN the damn video!

  • is demo tape was fire...better then alot of these wack rapper albums

  • so chill

  • been listening to illmatic for years wondering where all the other good nas is. thank you youtube

  • this is the best song ever made.

  • 4 people need serious psychiatric help

  • 1. nas

    2. pac

    3. jay

    4. blu

    5. rakim

  • @davidfreshyyy no no no

    1. Nas

    2. MF Doom

    3. Pac

    4. The Pharcyde

    5. Souls of mischief

  • @ProPoe1 I don't agree with this list, but damn good taste nonetheless.

  • @KingRogan what do you think would be a better list, and by the way, i couldve put a better list out there, but my taste of music goes through differant phases all the time, that was just what i into right now

and prince ali is fuckin' sick

  • @ProPoe1 Yes he is. But clearly you've never heard Shad K. If you like ATCQ, Common, or... I don't know, awesome hip hop. Check him!

Start with "Yaa I Get It" and "The Old Prince Still Lives At Home" you won't be disappointed... in fact you can listen to his first 2 albums on his website.

Top Canadian MC, and probably one of the best of this decade.

  • @exkimo64 i know who shad k is, and actually i dont like him that much, before i heard his music, i heard way to much hype about him, so it kinda turned me off.

  • Why did anyone think this was pre illmatic? He mentions escobar

  • @PAvver Because he says "Escobar style". That doesn't have to relate to Nas Ecobar it relates to Pablo Escobar. He could have just as easily said Noreage-style or Montana-style or anything like that and it would have the same meaning.

This was made before Verbal Intercourse, so Rae and Ghost may not have given him the name, or maybe he chose that name because of this verse he reused.

  • @exkimo64 what are you guys talking about? Im interested is all seeing that I'm a rae and nas fan, so if you could elaborate. This is the same verse from verbal intercourse, but isn't this album pre-illmatic?

  • @factsoutofbirds

    Part 1

It was recorded around 1995 before Verbal Intercourse, but label issues the song would never see an album so Nas re-ussed Verse 1 for Verbal Intercourse and Verse 3 for Cormega's "40th Side of things"

PAvver was wondering why everyone thought it was Pre-illmatic. But he didn't read the description where it said it was first released under that title but facts came to light later.

  • @factsoutofbirds

    Part 2

And also assumed that Nas's use of Escobar meant a reference to Nas Escobar (the name Rae/Ghost gave him) when it just a reference to Pablo Escobar and is no different then Nas saying "Montana-style" or anything like. The use of Escobar does not immediately mean Nas Escobar it could just as easily be a comparison to Pablo Escobar.

    Hopefully that helped

  • @exkimo64 Thanks for elaborating ex, keep that great hip hop coming.

  • released???

  • was dis from sum shit called kutmatic?? why the hell wasnt it

  • love dis

  • Isn't the first verse the one from Verbal Intercourse with Raekwon!?!

  • @ChetLinkton Yes but it was from here originally and it was re-used for Verbal intercourse and Verse three was re-used for Cormega's "40th Side of Things"

  • this track should be illegal....

its an addicting habit to my ears!

  • Is there an instrumental?

  • shit is so dope man...

  • God hard to believe nas was 18 with this type of lyrical content definitely gifted.

  • takes me back to the days i was livin in yonkers when i was kid back in like 94, 95

  • This is has been my favorite NaS song for years!!! This song is on the lost tapes album

  • nas is def the greatest rapper to ever touch this earth.

  • yah ayh ayh yo yo yo wtf record is this? sumone holla at a brotha please never heard dis shit wtf this is blowing my mind...this recorded be4 illmatic?

  • @boombapswag92 You know all the info is in the video (or the newer video of this that I posted).

It's also in the description under the video.

  • @boombapswag92 The demo tape before illmatice my nigga.

  • @sk8bordB7 Noooo the video description says that it was made in 1995 (but before Verbal Intercourse).

These collection of songs were advertised as Pre-Illmatic when I downloaded and posted them, but things have come to light and shown that a couple are Post-Illmatic.

  • @exkimo64 Lol sent my black ass off nigga!

  • @boombapswag92 This never made it to record and it wasn't a demo, Nas was already established. He didn't need a demo when this was recorded.

  • This that good winter time rainy day music and the static does give it that authentic classic feel

  • i heard this before....? huh... deja vu.

  • I wish he always had a style like this, this is Nas at his very best.

  • @MrCombine

You are very correct...Do you think he can duplicate this style now? Listen to verse 2..damn!

  • @malboro1979 I don't think so. He's definitely a more conscious rapper who wants to rap about more than just the ghetto like in "Distant Relatives" and "Nigger/Untitled". I just miss this Nas, because it was so real and he did an incredible job of painting a picture with his rhymes.

  • @MrCombine

I don't understand your definiition of what's "real", but his conscious stuff is just as "real" as the ghetto stuff. If you listen to nas then, and now, you'll notice that his metaphores, word play, and over all ideas are better than they were before, it's just that his flow doesn't have that master touch to it anymore. What made illmatic so good in my opinion was how nas chose to ride the beat and his rhythming patterns were so unpredictable. His rhythming sylables were closer to.

  • @malboro1979 No what I meant was it was less abstract, more about guns, drugs, etc. Of course that it is real, that was the environment he was accustomed to. However, I feel he's gone more from telling stories to more of a preachy type style. I'm not saying he's regressed as a rapper, I belive he's progressed a million times over throughout the years. I just really miss this stuff from him.

  • I would never rap like Nas, it's impossible

  • ew single : Nas feat The Game - Forget the Past in my channel

  • them bells in 90s hip hop songs will be missed....

  • it sounded alot better over ob4clx

  • damn thats why they call him nasty nas

  • this sounds like verbal intercourse

  • dope track

  • so real

  • why dont beats sound like this anymore?

  • @spindatish because reality is dead the game is too fake these days cept for spitta and a few others

  • @spindatish Because it doesnt make people want Gucci bags and all dat expensive ish dat makes all those corporate assholes and music industry leaders even more rich than they already are. They want you to want all that name brand crap so they make their "employees" (lame rappers like gucci mane drake n nicki minage) make it popular to the masses as well as the belief that money is everything cus da mor u spend da more they get rite? "Live above the influence" that doesnt just apply to drugs....

  • @spindatish cause ppl find it boring and depressing, they rather listen to party music even though the lyrics are lame and don't make sense, just like lollipop lil wayne, i hate that garbage, i call it brainless music, the ppl who buy his music are zombies

  • @spindatish cuz the worlds about to end soon we already had all the good shit in life its all downhill from here

  • @spindatish kuz they've been taken

  • I wish that he would have put all of these songs on Illmatic and make it a twenty song album. These songs are dope.

  • any way i could aquire a copy of this mixtape?

  • @xperienceths It's under the video (click the arrows)

  • the whole second verse is my favorite

  • yoo he needs to thank kool g rap bc he fucking started the new york hip hop game back in like 1985

  • This song is emotional, sick vocal & a sick, chillful beat. For some reason it reminds me of Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, LOL.

  • Artistry is dead . com where has this song been all my life...

  • Nice post, love this song. Check out my remix of Nas "The World Is Yours" rate or leave a comment thanks. Peace.

  • lol this shit sucks, all Nas' music is soo fucking boring

    Jay Z is way better

  • @specialK312

GET A FUCKING CLUE DOG!! Nas is hands down the best lyricist of our time sun. Followed close by andree3000, EM, and even jay!! I heard this track for the first time in 2000 and i still feel the same way i felt about it then. BOARING lol. : "Im glisening, housing cops whistling, still im drifting in a high the blunts is like insulin"!! " Snake niggas slither on their A-alikes, I aint a christian but i find that we pray alike"! GET REAL DUDE!

  • @tinam621 na you get a clue. Nas may be a good lyricist but as a musician he is god awful. just because he writes rhymes good doesnt make him a good rapper

his music sucks and its fuckin boring as hell

  • @specialK312 is probably a troll.

  • @flamezide why am i a troll because im telling you how i feel??

like i said Nas is a great lyricist without a doubt. but he is not a good rapper

he sounds the same in every song, lyrics alone dont make a good rapper

Nas is a very boring artist. I know that if you say that Nas is the greatest it gives you credibility for your knowledge in Hip Hop, but lets be serious the dude Nas is one boring son of a bitch

  • @specialK312 I was wondering y they call you special...Now I See.

  • @fmcneillii lol that was so clever of you to say

    fucking cornball

  • @specialK312 I kno it was right!

  • @specialK312 dats yo opinion nigger keep dat shit to ya self

knahmean ain nobody gonna argue wit a fool

  • @taheemc yeah cause im right

but i dont give a fuck you go ahead and continue to listen to your boring ass nas

  • @specialK312 boring? youre the worst... in that case, leave... Nas takes you on a ride bra, you must not understand what we feel listenin to this dude... be gone

  • @specialK312 basketball is life to some people. to others, it bores the shit out of em. Its just individual preference.

  • @specialK312 Ok, youre entitled to that analysis, but most of the people on this thread happen to think Nas is a top shelf artist nd that this is a masterpiece, I don't understand people who deliberately waste there time with shit they're not feelin, to me that's being a glutton for punishment, simple solution to your problem, go to JayZ videos. Thank You

  • @specialK312 you are so fucking stupid.....jay-z copies other rappers lines and records it onto his albums!!!...look up the im a bitter not a writer video.....you find nas's music "boring"?..you probably listen to rap music for the catchy chorus and the way theyre voice sounds..listen to the lyrics and think for a second what they mean..youre saying he is a horrible musician?..hes a fucking HIP HOP ARTIST!!..youre saying nas isnt a good rapper with the most humerous and stupid comments ive seen.

  • is there any chance someone has or knows how to get the instrumenental.

  • LOVE THIS JOINTTT!!!

  • nas is da illest fuck drake fuck lil wayne fuck the new boyz fuck b.o.b. fuck 98% of tha shit out 2 day

  • One of my top songs from the nasty.

  • I think this track should've been on Illmatic..

The beat, and lyrics are sickk!

  • 4 People need to go see an ear doctor.

This song makes me reminisce and philosophize.

  • this was almost 20 years ago when nas was just coming up, living in queensbridge, just like everybody else barely survivin' out here in new york city, in the projects..

    look at him now...

damn..crazy how he used to live there but he don't anymore

  • exkimo, could you up load the edited version of "watch dem niggas", it's iller than the regular version, with an alternate last verse.

  • @RelaxednCaIm I don't have it. but Goldenagehiphop3 has it. Ask him

  • love when a song has a story to it

  • im glad he used that verse on verbal intercourse...the rza beat complemented one of the greatest verses in hip-hop history so very well...

  • Reuses Verse From Verbal Intercourse

  • @darrion052395 Other way around. Verbal Intercourse reuses Deja Vu's verse (this was made first for It Was Written)

  • @exkimo64 Yea. I Miss The Old Nas.

  • @exkimo64 How come deja vu is on Nas' demo tape that appeared before Illmatic then?

  • @beck284 Because when I posted this/when I got the "demo" there were no dates tied to the songs.

It was only recently that I learned of the date of Deja Vu.

  • @exkimo64 this "demo tape" doesnt actually exist, ive found many different versions of this so called "tape" some with complete different songs and different amounts of songs and tracklistings, its just old unreleased nas compiled into an album

  • @halo239 I've come to learn that over the years. I just didn't know that when I posted these videos.

However I did feel the added artwork I made for this version, plus the addition of Represent (Original) and constantly updating the upload with higher quality songs, made my version at least worth searching for.

  • @exkimo64 yee, thanks for the upload, altho i have higher quality of pretty much every track. got a sick quality vinyl version of deja vu. 320kbits.

  • @halo239 I actually have that too I just haven't got around to updating that link.

  • @exkimo64 @halo239 is there anyway either of you could give me the link for the higher quality songs..... thanks

  • @halo239

a quality vinyl version ?? from what vinyl, please ??...all we need is a clear recording without j-love :) could you upload that ??

  • @indyvinylz I uploaded it already. Click the link in the middle of the video.

  • @exkimo64 mine is alot better than that, the bass in mine is more clear and theres no static or scratches in it whatsoever. its a FLAC file. around 780 bitrate. i also have life is like a dice game, understanding and just another day in the projects they were all on the same EP, and theyre all flac files.
