I visited my grandmother with a friend of mine who just happened to be black and boy oh boy did we get some looks. Clutch the purse a little closer. Sit as far away as possible. Cross the street. So disturbing. I felt so bad for him.

My sister and brother-in-law live in The Villages and I just got back from a visit..I just love it there! I'm so jealous of her!!!

My sister just came from visiting the Villages and she said that it was great. She loved it. They let her stay in a beautiful home to learn more about the experience. She is planning on moving there and I can visit her from my village at Saugerties, NY.

@kingofallwhites I don't know where you are getting your information from, but I am Black and have stayed at the villages twice so far and did not experience a bit of racism. I met several other Blacks that live there and they love it! Oh and while I was there I also saw quite a few "young" people, although they can not live there, they still enjoy the shopping and events that go on there. I love it and am retiring there myself.....Maybe your eperience was different?

There is so much more going on besides golf here. I love living in the Villages.  We retired here in 2005 and LOVE it.
