  • this was really cool! i love it when people can do something individual and different with ballet. its a beautiful art form and when you twist it like this it becomes even better.

  • I've never seen anything so inspired. Maybe I'm just biased my NBC but I was enthralled by this. I love it! 100 stars if I had it my way!

  • so talented!

Did you do also the choreography? it's excellent!

it has more than quite a bit of acting in it and so much expression!

    i just love it!

and it's also filled with rich technique - looks like a very tough dance to perform (physically, mentally - the separation between moves and so on)

    wonderful!!!

  • This is beautiful! I have to come up with a short "doll walk" for the beginning of a hip hop dance! I'm not as graceful as you, but you have given me a few ideas to incorporate into my walk! Thanks so much! You're an amazing dancer! :)

  • You did great.

  • Love ur dress!! Beautiful performance ^^

  • This kinda reminded me of wizard of oz

  • Beautifully done! Though you are imitating the awkward and clumsy moves of a doll much of the time, it's also clearly evident throughout that even at age 14 you were already an accomplished dancer.

  • Holy crap you winged while on pointe!? I cant even do that in my tap shoes :p

  • this was really cool! way to do your own thing! :)

  • eh screw the know-it alls. When it comes to performances, there will always be some douche on youtube who has nothing better to do than criticize what he himself cannot accomplish. You're awesome. that is all. =D

  • I'm enjoying this greatly thank you for posting it.

  • I want your dress its so beautiful and the routine was lovely!! <3

  • I love this so much.

  • Cool! Nightmare before christmas ftw

  • very cute! :DD

  • Amazing, that is an awesome performance! :)

  • nightmare before chrismas music yeah

    5 stars

  • cool! where you got the music without lyrics ?

  • This is so cute! I don't see how anyone could not like it. I love your dance! You really do look just like a doll! It's amazing and adorable. You must do more doll dances.

  • This is epic. MOAR!!!! :D

  • =o OMG !! it was so beautiful ! i love it, you got a new fan =D

  • You look excactly like Sally from The Nightmare before Christmas at 0:16! Also, that's what the music is from, right?

  • Love it, the Oogie-Boogie part in particular.

If only more ballets would be so inspired, I might consider becoming a fan.

Of normal ballet, that is; I'm already a fan of your version.

  • Love the Oogie-Boogie part in particular, a wonderful performance.

If only more ballets would be so inspired, I might actually be a fan.

  • this is amayzing

  • I love this video! and your feet! xD

  • Hello everyone!

thanks for the wonderful comments and the critique, however, please note this dance was performed when I was very young. Thank you for the suggestions, but I posted this for fun, not to audition for the next nutcracker.

Thank you for watching, I appreciate it greatly!

  • Great work! Looks awesome! I did ballet from age 6-12, but when I got on points it hurt so freakin' much that I switched to other styles of dance. It's very admirable that you went that far!

  • Soooo Cute your out fit is adorable like just like a little dolly LOVED IT !!

  • Very nice, very creative. I love the costume. Besides the slippers, do you still wear it while not performing? I would. lol

  • Oh my God, I'm sooooooooo in love with this video!

    anyway beautifulll dance(:

  • It's so beautiful <3

  • i was in ballet for 15 years and i couldn't do that jazzy part if i tried... awesomeness

  • Wow, this is great =] I was just wondering, did you choreograph this yourself, or were you working with an instructor?

  • I really wish you would post more dance videos. I can't get enough! I love these.

  • OMG What Creativitey! Its a lovely performance! May I use the dance for a school talent show? as well as the music? with a different costume of course :)

  • i love how you just go against the general image of a ballet dancer to be all pink and poised :) this is brilliant x

  • You did a double wing en pointe. Good lord. Kudos to you!

  • i want to learn ballet JUST to learn this now OuO

  • this is so cute love it love it love it

  • very good!!! Awesome!

  • i think its wonderful. it looks really like a doll dancing and thats just art! maybe tougher than doing it the traditional ballet-way.

i really like it, because its something very individual and yo seem to have fun^^

  • it's CUTE!!!!! i like it!!!

  • I must say this is quite wonderful to watch I love your skill in dance and I love the song/movie that you chose for your music. Good show! But I want to murder your camera man >.> too much blurry and wiggling.

  • that was GREAT. I wish i could dance like that. fitted NBC really well, if Tim Burton had made sally dance, it would be like that.

  • where you get that dress.

  • SO BEAUTIFUL! I loved how you changed to different styles of dance and you were right on cue with the music!

  • that is amazing you look beautiful! well done!

  • this is cute but it needs to b more difinative. r u not supposed to b in a good fith? Are your armes ment to be bad? It was confuzing

  • what's this song called???

  • there are no black en pointe shoes are there? :(

  • this is wonderful!! i love it!! your musical selection is great and the dance is just adorable *^-^. fantastic job!

by the way, screw the haters. it sounds like the audience liked it :D.

  • this is so cool....You're amazing

  • You did that when you were 14? That's amazing.

Forget technicalities, this is so creative and that's worth so much more. Not to mention how much sheer skill is shown, even if not through conventional means. Love it.

  • Hey we dolls love to dance too !! this is great !

  • This is wonderful! there's so much character to it. I love how different it is and it completely suited the music. Amazing choreography and dancing. who cares if it isn't 'traditional ballet' :P

  • the only thing i could say is that some parts were cheesey, idk how to explain what i mean it was just cheesey at parts

  • :o i have made a solo by mmyshelf with exactly the same music....but the dance has nothing to do with that.... its contemporary and nothing to do with the movie!!! :P

  • Great quality in every sense! It's really original, i hope that you eventually went professional too! Please tell me. Congratulations

  • i did a dance similer to that

  • Awe, I really like this. Me and two of my friends are planning to do a 'doll inspired' dance pretty soon. Keep up the creativity!

  • This was awesome! Nightmare Before Christmas fit your dance perfectly, and the costume was adorable. Well done!

  • AAAH!!! I LOOVE IT! that was so sweet, +1 in your fanbook.

    your amazing :D

    -Vicky

  • I really like it.

sure, its not as graceful as ballet, but thats what you were going for =)

acting as a doll would if it came to life.. I think you portrayed that quite well.

    Good job!

  • Absolutley lovely and oh so fun to watch

  • gosh i love this!!! especially the tapping part!! bravo...your really good!!!

  • I really love this dance! You're so creative! :)

  • That is very flattering!!! Yes you may:P Thank you for the lovely comment!!!

  • Yeah so what it wasn't ballet etc. You weren't trying to make it like that so it's not important. What matters is that it was a fun dance and you looked like a doll would if a doll danced which was your intent. Good job!

  • Thank you so much for leaving this up. It's beautiful.

I've had just enough dance training to realise how much body control that takes. Thank you for sharing with us.

  • That is really cool!

  • omg this is really cute!

  • Amazing

  • nice! :)

  • great job... very creativ

    5 stars from me ^^

  • oh,it's perfekt!!!so nice!:)

  • wow, great!!!! :) very dollish ;) awesome^^ love the ending especially

  • I don't like it as much as numa numa though

  • weren't trying to be graceful...snort. i'm on pointe (beginner) and that's more graceful than i've ever been. besides arms, top job, evilly talented wanker. ; )

  • LOVE IT!!!! I like that its different. I like thats its very very coool. I love it.. and I like where you tap. lol have you seen the tap/point shoes that sansha has??? there really neat. anyways Very good!!! <3 :)

  • wow!!!! i loved this! ive been dancing since i was 2 years old. i love how uve combined everything in to one dance! plus i love the nightmare before christmas :} and i know how hard pointe is so i really liked this!!!! were you competing?

  • haha it's amazing :D

She look's like Christina Ricci :D

  • This was very cool. Unfortunatley I could tell your pointe shoes were broken. If you had ones in better shape you would look quite professional.

  • THIS SONG!!! WHOOHOO I love it nightmare before christmas is GREAT!! good job girl!^^

  • omg people are ridiculous. the dance here is absolutely adorable!

your combo of every dance style is gorgeous. :] don't let people get you down!

  • As Voltaire's son would say:

'Huh - looks like Tim Burton drew you...'

    h.

  • This is wonderful :)

I have to do a "Doll-esque" dance too, you make it look easy ;)

  • sure it isn't conventional ballet but it's entertaining, and isn't that what ballet is supposed to be about?

  • KEEP IT!

My sister, who studied dance for years, loves pointe, and still dances, posted this to Facebook because she loves it so much.

I never got past age 5 or 6 in dance, so this $0.02 may be worth nothing BUT... I think you maintained character as you changed styles throughout the various musical changes. Plus, I think the fact it wasn't "perfect pointe" was in keeping with the film the music was from and it showed your versatility as a dancer.

Also, a big fan of the tap dance en pointe. :)

  • Awesome!!! Especially the tapping on pointe, I must say, besides being incredible, was the most original thing I've seen in a dance in a long time!

And to the people bitching about it not being "real" ballet or technically correct...have you ever seen The Nutcracker?????!!

  • exelent!

  • very good, i liked it so much =)

  • Fang~tastic! I love it!

  • I go to dance. oh i got to go to dance right now!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, girl you really did a great job there! I like that one best from all your videos! (Hope there will be more of yours to watch, by the way.)

It's just wonderful what you did there and as someone just mentioned...I would also pay to watch you live and in colour!

Never mind about people who don't get the meaning of your art, you're great!

  • It's great. I feel like you could do so much more with it! I highly recommend doing more now if you've grown as a dancer (which I imagine you have) since this was made!!!

  • This is truly amazing! Okay, I have to admit that I know little to nothing about dancing, so I can´t say if it was technically right and this stuff. But I can say that your dancing kind of touched me... it had meaning. Anybody can see this (even me, and I really suck when it comes to dancing.) You really embodied what I consider a "goth doll", and it was really fantastic to watch you dance!

  • I have no idea about technical stuff, but it looked really amazing!

  • i absolutely love this! if people have seen the nutcracker they'd shut up :)

  • i don;y like it...sorry...

  • i

i dont know what to say

    i am horrifid

  • that was lovely!

i adore the movie and you reminded me so much of Sally in it.

  • where did you get your dress for this dance? it's adorable!

  • this is awsome hunny i love it and long live the lords foamy, tim and danny

  • nightmare before christmas in 3:50 minutes :p

    hehe, great job :D

  • Really good job!

Aw, I love the whole idea! (as an avid Burton fanatic, I applaud your style) And the costume was great. Your little plaits were adorable too. In a slightly Chuckie-ish scary way ...

The tap was fabulous. And from 2:15-2:20 was great too. The splits totally took me by surprise, and the bendy over thing was so cool!

You can't tell your shoes were broken. Fair play dancing on them, though! Well done! xxx

  • LOVED IT

  • That was super cute, I like your personality too, this was fun to watch. I'm an ex-ballerina (in my pre-mom-of-twins days), and I can appreciate this! =O.O=

  • Just awesome! The songs are very well chosen (NBC-fan here, hehe) and you really look like a doll! This exactly how I would see an old antique doll dance.

    Awesome job!

    Keep on dancing

    ~Hat

  • Very creative and inspiring, Keep up the good work and I would try and stiffen up a bit if you want to try and get the doll movements more realistic. Other than that, I found nothing wrong with it!

  • I personally love the fact that you've mixed ballet and theatre craft and modern movements to create one amazing dance. love it

  • I do enjoy a traditional nutcracker ballet, but I love it when people incorporate ballet with other kinds of dance, I think it makes it very entertaining...it's also very creative too. I like this dance, good job. If you haven't seen it yet, search for a video on here called "numa numa en pointe" it's really funny.

  • i recogniz the song

  • Wow, this is so clever and fun. I can imagine actual dolls dancing like that. :)

  • nice concept but the choreography doesn't follow. the tapping was a good idea though. could have been more precise.

  • what song is this?????

  • oh my goodness! what a fun idea, and you pulled it off amazingly! congrats!

  • "What's this?! What's this?!" I love that song..

    Good performance as well.

  • this was both VERY adorable and well done. good job!

  • How could anyone think even think of saying anything bad about this?! It was great! You tap danced in Pointe shoes! Gosh, we're thinking about using this song in either ballet or pointe and now I really REALLY hope we get to.

  • I love it!

  • that was assume, ur a great dancer and i love tim burton films and the nightmare before Christmas.
