It's not called "egg" anything. When this game was released his name was Dr. Julian Ivo Robotnik. It even said so in the instruction manual.

@Trinexx360 Not quite, "Julian" is more of a SatAM/Archie thing and the manuals, aside from Sonic 1 which uses Ivo, only used Robotnik. Also, this is from the English localization and not from the Japanese manuals. The machines do have official names and I believe ventuscyborghelios is correct with their names.

At any rate, both names, Eggman and Robotnik, were pretty much around since the beginning so there really is no reason to argue about this after over a decade.

I think you've seen the good and bad ending - as the latter is what Knuckles doesn't want. The first one happens when all Chaos (or Hyper, can't remember) Emeralds are obtained and placed back on the Island.

In the second ending you describe - the Island doesn't have enough power to stay afloat and therefore crashes into the Ocean.

All characters in this game share the same endings more or less. It just depends on what emeralds you have.

anything saved from Sonic 3 will transfer to the other game

- his(Knuckles) bosses are the exact same egg machines as Robotnik. I dont think Robotnik is the type to build the same things twice(barring the Death Egg). It makes more sense if Robotnik is dead and MechaRobotnik copied the original's designs.

I think the spin dash is slightly faster than super sonic's spin dash. oh and he causes seizures just like SuperYoshi1141 said XD

You have to obtain all chaos and super emeralds.

I would say "it's as simple as that" but theres nothing simple about the Sonic and Knuckles special stages, at all, those things are brutal.

You obtain the regular emeralds in the Sonic 3 stages, by finding the giant rings. When you've obtained all those, goto Mushroom Hill, where Knuckles will show you (albiet unintentionally) the entrance to the hidden palace. With the regular emeralds hankered down you can then choose from the Sonic and Knuckles special stages when-ever you enter another giant ring. Obtain all of these to unlock Hyper Sonic/Knuckles or Super Tails, depending on who you're playing as.

Heh, I like how you use your spindash to take out those fingers. I do that nowadays. I kinda wished that I had done so in the finale of my playthrough of the game instead of attempting to bounce off of every individual finger twice.

As for the second part of that fight, I usually never have a second shield, so I never thought of the possibility of getting four hits in instead of three.

Anyway, I enjoyed watching you play. Good job on them bosses.
