i dont think i have ever heard any coach understand the swing as you do martin, the videos are the most advanced on the net, play well and continued success
even though i have only being doing this move for 3 weeks with limited game time, im now thinking of only 2 moves in the swing, the wind up and the body movement forward. every time i play i feel hugh improvement
I believe even though Martin talks body motion he would agree there are still very important alignments in golf. Golf is a game of geometry and physics but in order to have correct alignments and to be powerful you must not stop motion. That is why you correct the body first and not the arms or hands.
This is great. Understanding that the golf swing isn't about lines or angles is so important yet the exact opposite is taught by literally everyone that you see giving lessons on tv or even worse, at the range. It's about creating centrifugal force. Don't teach "what", teach "why", you know? This lesson is taught best by watching the pros actually do it. Accuracy is the trick in golf though, anyone can bomb it.
im intrigued by your original approach. apart from hogan, moe and abe etc, what were your influences outside of golf? did you play another sport that you think gave you a different perspective? looking forward to your DVD, which i wont get until monday because it was delivered to my work email.
I hope you enjoy the tape, I'm sure you will. My early sport was Rugby in the winter and Track and Field in the Summer. I also played a lot of cricket.
