  • omggg , im going to shep this school year , and i cant wait for cheer tryouts ! -3

  • Also just have to add, congrats to Shep for a good season this year. You did deserve to beat Ainlay at a few of those competitions. That being said to all the people posting comments about Shep winning this season: I don't know if you realized it but Ainlay has won Provs over 10 times. You still have alot of catching up to do. They aren't going down without a fight this year, and with the new judging system you guys are going to have to work hard. Clean fulls won't beat kindof messy doubles.

  • And Tosses must have 2 skills in them. After it is determined that a team has maxed out they are then judged on how clean those skills were performed. No longer can Shep rely on their cleanliness for reasons why they should have or did win. Having a straight up heel stretch full won't win you anything anymore. Full up bow double downs are what you need to even be considered for first. This being said you can't completely drop everything and still expect to win because you maxed out.

  • @CheerGirl11231

    *3 skilled tosses

  • I am really excited for the 2011-2012 cheer season to start. There are rumors that there will be a new judging system being implemented. This system will be based on MAXING OUT your division and not on how clean you run, even though cleanliness will still be part of the score. Team who do not max out their scores will not place first. For this division that means that you must have double downs from at least half the stunt groups in the air, half the team must be tumbling

  • i dnot kno any of these people but they rocked totally

  • Ainlay sucks this year just saying

  • hahaha this whole comment section is really funny. Good seeing you guys at zones on saturday even if you did get a minus 20.

  • I miss seeing them perform & talking to them -3 ! Awesomest team you can recall :)

  • Also, let's try and keep the rude comments to a minimum. If any of the girls on this team read that their baskets were messy or they can't really tumble, or their "scorps aren't even extended" I think they'd be a little hurt. So let's try and keep it classy, people.

  • @starstrukk17 Thank you for saying that. I can definitely say that seeing all these comments makes me feel like no one believes in Shep. They have an amazing routine with the room to grow. Yes, they don't pull doubles and have lots of tumbling but they have skills that no other teams have tried before. Shep sets the bar for pushing the limitations of the rules and you can see that with their swing-through transitions. Just wait for this year to see how Shep and Ainlay compare.

  • Honestly, both teams are very talented. Ainlay always has an exciting complicated routine and likes to go out of the boudaries. Their routine was very messy but all around good to watch. Shep plays it safer and executes everything. They're exciting, dynamic and great performers. They're also always clean.

Basically, both teams are excellent. Although I think Ainlay did deserve to win, Shep wasn't far behind at all, and I think this year people will be surprised by Shep as theyve worked so hard

  • this routine is clean and a real crowd pleaser, a lot of flashy moves but speaking as a judge, you have to look at the degree of difficulty. A lot of this stuff looks hard but if you look at a scoring guide, it's lower on the scale in terms of difficulty than some of the other teams. But good work girls, look forward to seeing you and Ainlay again this year. I've heard a lot of great things about both of you guys. ;)

  • while we don't always run clean, ainlay always tries to push the boundaries for high school cheer. and for who should've won provincials last year....

the scores alone speak for themselves. day 2 provs- Ainlay 261, Shep 236.

this comment is not meant to be mean or rude whatsoever. i am just pointing out facts.

    have a nice day :)

  • @cheerbabe246

Well as a parent.... Ainlay was sloppy, and Shep was tighter at this tournament. Now we all know who is going to win, as it appears that the judges have predetermined it. When you are at the top, everyone wants to knock you off, and one day, Ainlay and Vic will be knocked off their pedestal..

  • @twistedsis13

Speaking as a judge and former cheerleader for 6 years I can truely say that yes Ainlay was a bit sloppy in that performance but their degree of difficulty was so much higher than Shep's that even with them dropping a stunt on the first day their stunts were still worth more than Shep's which had a very low degree of dificulty and should have been PERFECT for how low their degree was.Ex. Most of Ainlay's doubles have feet together and arms down. Shep's fulls are very messy...

  • @twistedsis13 As a parent, you can't truly understand how difficult it is to execute a routine performing doubles from extended levels and pulling back tucks. you also do not understand that a cheer routine IS NOT completely about running clean. while it is a crucial aspect, level of difficulty is as well. Ainlay works extremely hard year round for the skills we have. The numerous hours we put into practice earn us our title, not our name.

  • @twistedsis13 haha, isn't speaking as a parent slightly if not entirely biased? Also just curious as to how much you know about cheer because they're called competitions, not tournaments, tournaments are based on elimination. And if you're talking about Vic co-ed, they deserve to be on top because everyone else pales in comparison. If you want Shep to come back and win this year, they better be doing doubles, bows and full ups or else they're not up to standard.

  • @linkismyheartthrob

They definitely did NOT have doubles, bows and full-ups and they just beat Ainlay. Just saying.

  • @twistedsis13

I hope you saw Provincials last week! Shep First!! And Ainlay Third. ;)

  • @twistedsis13

two girls drop their scorps immediately. Not to mention the scorps aren't even over extended....Then to add to that you have extremely slow full twists as a dismount. They are clean but ugly. You guys have a good jump section. All of your basket tosses ar 2 SKILLED. And extremely easy to do. At 2:00 most of the basket tosses are crazy bad. One girl just does a single full.. One thing you guys are strong in are kinetics. Your Dance and Jumps are great but thats not enough to win.

  • @twistedsis13

did round off back handspring back tucks. Their basket tosses were pretty girl/kick/ full ( 3 SKILLS), 2 kick doubles (3 SKILLS) And one Double (2 SKILLS) Ainlay girls are too classy to post nasty things on their videos about other teams but I'm not... to say that you should of won is crazy. At 0:08 seconds you had 4 people in the front doing "tumbling", two back handsprings, one walkover, and someone just walking backwards... at 0:25 you have straight up libs to scorps where

  • @twistedsis13

in their doubles but as of 2009 judges can NO LONGER deduct 10 points for every double that doesn't make it around. This is to encourage teams to actually TRY to double. Ainlay had 3 different types of "full ups" that year. Every top on that team had exceptional variations. Bow and Arrows, Over extended Scorps, Y shaped scales etc. Ainlays tumbling has been growing every year since 2007. They had 12 back handsprings that year. Exactly HALF of their team!!! 6 girls on the team

  • Just wondering... what are the different stunt restrictions for school and cheer teams?

Cause i know schools have alot of restrictions.. and what division are they ? ^

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh, y'all need to work on your routine. there's way too much running around. good job flyers, but a lot of your stunts were unsafe. :(

  • Comment removed

  • Shep will beat Ainlay next year , guaranteed :)

  • umm ... you must be crazy if you think you should have won, remember you are against HARRY AINLAY, ya... good luck next time .. =]

  • @Ooshpa

Well maybe if Ainley would have had a clean performance it would have been different..... but they didn't... and lets get more creative, almost the same as last year....

  • @twistedsis13

Just came across this and thought it was a bit ridiculous. To say that any of the other teams at Provs that year should have beat Ainlay is kindof hilarious actually. First off I get that many people believe that since their routine was NOT clean they should not have won. But Ainlays degree of difficulty was so much higher that year than anyone elses and their performances were exceptional. Ainlay has full team doubles. From every variation. Yes they didn't always make it around

  • @Ooshpa mmmk so how many of you can actually land a back tuck? or even better...land it safely? :) your stunts fall, you cant fully complete a double and your pyramid didnt even stay up :) sooo tell me who deserved first? mmmm not you :)how about a team who is actuallygood and can do a clean routine with almost no flaws? i guess its nice to be able to win only becuz of your name, not your skills.

  • nope

  • does shep have cosmetology ?
