Actually, I believe that's only a flashback, since Castiel's doing a voiceover on archangels. For example, we also see Lucifer there, and since he's back in the pit, I think it's safe to say that Gabriel's gone for good - which is a shame, really. I'd like to see him return too. :(

I hope Gabe ends up helping them too. It would be nice if Cas had one brother on his side. At least Gabe can pronounce Castiel's name correctly. Lucifer mispronounced it in "Abandon All Hope". He called him "Cas-teel". LOL.

@DeanCasAngel1 I too had hoped that Cas would have one brother who wasn't a dick, but now with Gabriel's death by Lucifer's hand, that seems unlikely now. Although in Supernatural, anything is possible, so it could happen that Gabriel is brought back for the season finale. I sure hope so.
