He's thinking clearly and even though he's slightly hesitant making runs and the like, his passing is massively improved and his defensive side is coming out. A few good challenges. I think he's gonna come into good form and soon.

1. I dont agree with Stevie , i completely agree with you mate, Henderson was never a super world class player , but you can get some good performances from him.

I'm a Newcastle fan and i have to say, we looked like the more threatening team until Gerrard came on he changed the game he is truly a world class player, I have to say the referee was so pro-liverpool the 2nd goal was never a freekick and your players went down so easily.

When Stevie came on, for the first time this season, Carroll looked dangerous and as if he was living up to his price tag. Those balls being whipped in were inch-perfect and AC was getting in the right positions, just being held down by the defenders. The refs need to give the big man a bit of protection, maybe give one or two decisions his way because I feel that's hindering him a bit. But yeah, Stevie's return is a MASSIVE boost. Can't wait for 2012! YNWA.

@shallisc Actually if anything pace is Downing's best asset, his crossing has been hit and miss but he's been getting past players for fun recently. He needs to get in the box more often too so he can score a goal, he has hit the post 3 times tho, 2 from long range.

@shallisc I'd say hes in our top 3 fastest players with Enrique and Bellamy. He is really quick, watch the game again, or even the Blackburn game, or even the Sunderland. Or England vs Sweden. He's not a flashy player, more of a knock it past full back and outpace him type, no step overs required or whatever to do that if you have pace.

@mikeph93 I disagree. Skrtel is good at passing and good at playing it out of defence. He organises them and when Agger goes on a run he holds back and keeps it tight.
Downing was one of the best players on the pitch today. His crosses need to be improved a bit, but I don't think anyone does it better getting it down the wing like he did today.

I think agger and downing did good. Agger couldn't do anything with the own goal in my opinion, and the freekick goal was by Bellamy was because of Agger. YNWA

@MrCable75 That's a vintage 1990 tracksuit top that saw us lift our last league title. Me and my Dad both had them at the time, needless to say that's his one i'm wearing. They remade it a couple of years ago though so you could probably get one on ebay...

Ahh that felt good. Gerrard lifted the team at the key moment. Bellamy held it together before him and Skrtel was beautiful. But I am beginning to think that we have David Luiz back there too with all of these big forward runs from Danny Agger. Great game YNWA

Another quality solo flight on the deck of Redmen Tv Paul. GREAT JOB. Great fb FAN comments flashing across throughout as well. Everything was covered well. But, the anti-Downing Kopite is WRONG. True, Downing's not producing a lot of goals, but his work rate, pace, and constant presence as a threat have been very unsung in recent matches. @8gerrard8 exactly as a winger he hasnt got blistering pace and to be honest he play is boring slow and predictable.. i think downing needs to go wide left and whip balls in like we all thought he would when we signed him.. he needs to know that taking the ball past defenders is not his game, remember david bentley had a world class delivery at blackburn then tried to change his game and he ruined his own career.

@shallisc Actually if anything pace is Downing's best asset, his crossing has been hit and miss but he's been getting past players for fun recently. He needs to get in the box more often too so he can score a goal, he has hit the post 3 times tho, 2 from long range.

@shallisc I'd say hes in our top 3 fastest players with Enrique and Bellamy. He is really quick, watch the game again, or even the Blackburn game, or even the Sunderland. Or England vs Sweden. He's not a flashy player, more of a knock it past full back and outpace him type, no step overs required or whatever to do that if you have pace.

@8gerrard8 Yeah i agree he is quick but i mean he has no acceleration and like you said for him to use his pace he needs to knock the ball past the fullback, but this means he has no control over the ball when running at speed. Man u game he tried to do the same and chris smalling had him in his back pocket all game, notice all the games u mentioned were against poor teams

@shallisc He has pretty good acceleration otherwise he wouldnt have that change in pace to get past the full backs. In that Utd game, Downing had the best out of all the wingers on the pitch including Nani and Young, also Smalling isnt slow. Smalling was their MoTM in that game anyway.

Skrtel hasn't been the player we all bang on about only because of how good Lucas Suarez and Enrique have been... I think Henderson well: better than Adam, at least but no way would Newcastle have passed it around like that (in the second half) if Lucas was on
Gerrard made the difference but Bellamy was my motm + tiote and collicini should have both shown red...oh well

@mikeph93 I disagree. Skrtel is good at passing and good at playing it out of defence. He organises them and when Agger goes on a run he holds back and keeps it tight.
