This is a awesome place to visit. The lasagna at Cafe International on the river is to die for. The trout fishing during spring is excellent, and the waterpark is a awesome place to spend a hot summer day getting a perfect tan.
I visit here at least twice a moonth just hanging out, doing photography, video, trout fishing, you name it.

@pinkcheckerd I think it looks like how many Americans envision Germany to look lol. But I am not knocking it. I used to live near there and it is a wonderful little town and its people take a lot of pride in its appearance and their place in it.
i just moved 2 cleveland 20 mins from helen i hope it snows... if u guys ever go there there is this place that makes chocolate on a giant table and omg its soo good...
Helen is a beautiful place, i love going there, the cabins, the people, the village...ohh...perfect!! I love going in the winter, but really..i love going ANYTIME!!
Helen is smaller than Gatlinburg and spread out more. Personly I Think you can really have a good time better in Helen. Downtown Helen, is too packed , but get out in the part towards Cleveland, by the river it is more spread out.
Thanks for the reply. One of my co-workers keeps trying to convince the rest of our crew to take a motorcycle trip to Helen. Due to past experience, I'm reluctant to take his word on how nice it was so I thought I'd ask someone else lol.
I just got back like an hour ago from Helen ga. I got to go rafting and everything yesterday, and then we went shopping and in a horse and carrage today AWESOME time!
