  • "Expressions of approval or non approval are not permitted". This from a

HAG-LACKEY OF THE WORLD BANK & Military-Industrial Complex.

We heard A LONE VOICE OF REASON from a Senate gone MAD

WITH GREED & blood-lust for WAR. Now that voice is silenced forever.

There is ONE LEFT IN THE HOUSE who is just as brave and who is

DESPISED BY CHICKEN-HAWKS IN HIS OWN PARTY: Ron Paul.

However Americans are WAKING UP to the TRUTH of the dastardly

COUP of 9-11; a FALSE FLAG to take our rights!

  • thumbs up if ecot sent you here

  • mediaphotographer said: "...thats right ," is always be"! This was in response to my previous note calling him/her upon their poor grammar when they earlier stated, "Byrd is a always be a racist!" I am stunned, stunned, unless of course, as I suspect, this individual may simply be a sixth grader. Albeit a sixth grader at age 47, but, whatever, I am done with the discussion, Peace!

  • @samdogdamndog2 Hey Creampuff. Your slightly off on the education comment you made by about 12 years ( If you can add) My age is not relevant. What is relevant , is your shallowness for grasping and answering basic questions, that third grader could answer. You appear, to be a proud product our failed education system? It shows, A little ADD moment Cupcake?

  • If you want a true anti-war congressman/senator, look up Ron Paul.

  • Ok, this guy was previously in the KKK, he filibustered against the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and supported the war in Vietnam and y'all are praising him saying crap like: "...he not only cares about americans and the troops. but i just know this old´s man HEART is crying for iraqis as well :(" and "He shames the senators and rightly so! Cowards and fake patriots will always outnumber true patriots."

This guy is nothing but a career politician.

    Do your research folks...

  • @ruvvjub I respectfully disagree. As a little boy and young man from West Virginia, I used racist slurs, thought of minorities as "less than" and held general pig-ignorant, blinkered views. Education, travel, and experience of the world changed all of that. I hope that when I shuffle off this mortal coil as the Senator has done, people will not remember me for my foolish, youthful misdeeds, but will look kindly on a life lived to change those early mistakes, as he did.

  • God Bless Senator Robert C. Byrd.....Rest well dear friend.

  • they don't make them like this anymore!

  • I'll never forget his speech against animal cruelty - especially dog fighting. He's been my hero for many, many reasons, but that speech was just so passionate. Sen. Byrd will missed by me, and he's pretty much the only politician I can say that about.

  • Rest in heaven Senator Robert Byrd a man of true distinction

  • @happionecom Yes this racist, segerationist, klan asswpe is finally dead Rot in hell

  • @mediaphotographer

you stupid son of a bitch

Robert C. Byrd joined the KKK because he knew nothing else

but he OVERCAME this and prospered

He knew more then you and your stupid family of monkey brained-apes

He predicted this whole Bush shit iraqi war and if he were here today he would be striving to end the rest of the worlds damn problem

read a book and think before you speak

Rest in Peace Robert C. Byrd

  • @JonShootingFan I love you you retards resort to personal slander because you are at the shallow end of the intelligent pool.Facts are Facts! Byrd in interview said he joined to get votes! Once a Klan, always a Klan!! kind of like you, once a retard always a retard!! Burn in hell racist byrd! What coloring book are you referring to that you read Duh??

  • Comment removed

  • @JonShootingFan you are the real dumb ass here. Byrd is a always be a racist! fuck you and that dead racist. you must be a racist as well, later you bigot hater.

  • @mediaphotographer

I'll asume your from the north and have had an overdose

respond again and don't expect an answer

I have nothing more to say

  • @JonShootingFan wrong. local here is nice and warm.

  • @mediaphotographer

I said I respectfully disagreed with the negative points of view...obviously something you overlooked when you gave your insulting retort. Nowhere did I use epithets or foul language, yet you felt it necessary to respond using gutter words. What could have been humorous, had it not been so pathetic was your statement, "you are the real dumb ass here. Byrd is a always be a racist! " "Is always be...???" Really?

  • @samdogdamndog2 thats right ," is always be"!

  • @mediaphotographer Did you forget that he wholly backed president Obama's candidacy? No, if there is a paradise, it is a place where Byrd sits and holds civil discourse (something sorely lacking today) with Jefferson, JFK, Franklin, Adams, Patrick Henry, Lincoln, Smedley Butler, George Washington Carver, the Roosevelts, Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Galileo, Isaac Newton, Barry Goldwater, and Ghandi; a place where Jesus could sit at their feet and learn a few things about how to treat his fellow man.

  • @samdogdamndog2 please you dumbs ass do not equate this klans racist to John Adams, it proves that you are stupid beyond beliefs.

  • Rest in peace, Senator.

  • His best years were spent opposing the illegal, immoral war in Iraq.

  • That Republican Senator sounded like she was about to crap herself.

  • Rest in peace

  • This man saw what was going to happen. It was a needless war; one that should've never happened. Thank you Senator Byrd for standing up when nobody else would. May this great man R.I.P.

  • What is the best Byrd story - I like the one about him comparing a fly on a chariot's axle to the previous Republican blowhole on the floor.

  • RIP, young man. You have earned it.

  • As an African American, I have mixed feelings about Senator Byrd, having lived through a very tough, even dangerous era of hate.

But I have to admit that I admire his courageous stand against the Iraq War. Considering the blind patriotism of the American people, he took a great risk. Events have proven his words to be prescient -- and who would have thought that a very right wing conservative would depart from the party line to do and say what was right?

    Rest in Peace....

  • @miamivicepastels83 I know. But please remember that many times he has said he very much regrets belonging to the KKK as a young man and voting against the Civil Rights Act. Since then he has often voted for liberal causes including inclusion. He has said that it is a lesson for young people today to think about what you do and important to not follow the crowd.

I needed to respond because I think a great man is not one who never makes mistakes, but one who recognizes them and changes.

  • We Thank God you were there to represent us.... I am so sorry we did not have the sense to to heed your wisdom. God speed and continue to guide us into a true democracy for all.

  • God love you, Robert. If only our politicians had listened to you. Rest in peace my friend.

  • We all need to carry forth this strength of conviction.

  • I admire him because he could admit when he was wrong....it takes a real man to do that!......he loved his state and was brave enough to want to do alternate forms of energy..wind and others..some people really should live more than one lifetime...!

  • @RockyMissouri you are definatly right some people should live more than one life i agree

  • It's good to see someone so wise taking a stand at the beginning of this catastrophe.

  • This man was one of the few Senators with a real sense of foresight. RIP.

  • As a Republican and proud Hillbilly, let me say we are a poorer nation today. I doubt will ever see his like again. God bless West Virginia. May she grow us some more like Sen. Byrd before its too late.

  • Thank you, Senator Byrd, for the efforts you made during your life for my America. You will certainly be missed.

  • This man knew the law and procedure better than any republican ever could because he knew the role of a public servant. You will be missed.

  • He was one of my favorite orators of all time. He had a manner about which he turned a phrase, and as a kid in debate and rhetoric, I would listen to his speeches to try and get his vocal pattern and pacing down. I often used to think that the ghosts of the senate would come out of the shadows just to hear the man speak...RIP Sen. Byrd. (D-WV)

  • R.I.P., hero.

  • Why was he Not President?

Hes the leader America needs he is America!

  • The Cicero of our time

  • Nice. Old people (some of them) are quite wise aren't they?

  • hes part of the golden generation of america

  • I love how at the end we hear generous applause and they lady says, "Expressions of approval or disapproval are not permitted." His explanations were so convincing that it inspired senators to clap, despite knowledge of its prohibition.

  • This man saw the future, he saw what would happen in the next 6 years.

I have cried when he said: ´´ I along with millions, scores of millions of Americans will pray for the safety of our troops, for the innocent civilians--women, children, babies, old and young, crippled, deformed, sick--in Iraq´´

he not only cares about americans and the troops. but i just know this old´s man HEART is crying for iraqis as well :(

  • @crumcon You and 29 other dumb ass idiots who do not know jack shit about this Racist Mother Fucker! You try to rewrite history for your own warped history!

  • "Americas true power lies not in its will to intimidate but in its ability to inspire."

How true. He knew that this was a resolution to go to war. No excuses from him that he did not understand that this ment the US going to war.

Some think he is too old and senile. Perhaps there is truth to that but at least he is the ONLY member of the senate that can be trusted not to decide to go to another avoidable war. And remember it is only the congress that can declare war.

  • Yeaaa... It was only the old guys who soke out against the war in the begining.

Sen Byrd or dr Hans Blix ( the guy who couldn´t find iraqs weapon of mass destruction )...... Why don´t we ever listen to the old. They have seen it all before.

  • Why didn't we listen to Senator Byrd D WV back in 2003?? Wait, we were ready to do some cowboy kickin ass in Iraq.

  • I cant believe I've never heard of this man before, he knows so much.

  • I think one of the best things about this speech is that it's an excellent example of old school, conservative-Democratic thought and rhetoric. This guy isn't the Baby Boomer's Democrat, this guy goes back to when labor unions had respectable power, when America still had powerful enemies, and before all this sensationalist, culture war bullshit.

  • Powerful.

He speaks so simply, yet so effectively.

It's unfortunate that more people won't see this speech, or yet even know about it.

Unfortunately his speaking style, while wonderful in it's own right, is not engaging enough for those whom our country needs most, the generations to come.

Short sidedness seems to always permeate through generations and be ultimately be the fall of our society.

  • How well spoken, I'm in awe!

  • I am a Conservative Republican and I do respect this man!

  • He's a conservative democrat...

  • Let's all hope guys like this move in after the electrician.

  • Though a shady background. This man is speaking so excellent! These moments make me proud...I am afraid the Empire will fall though... :(

  • This man has forgotten more about law and politics than most will ever know. He IS a hero and he is one of many who makes me proud to be a Democrat.

  • this man is my hero

  • john mc cain vote agasinst mlk day . cool lets bring it up.

buy the way this dude is a grand wizard of a verry contraversal and exclusive group.

hes not the only high ranking democrate to in the klan.

dont tell me about about prescott bush , i find banking boring.

  • Sean Hannity sure the hell owes this guy an apology!

  • He shames the senators and rightly so! Cowards and fake patriots will always outnumber true patriots.
