Because online needs to be balanced and tested a hell of a lot more than singleplayer. Just think, if a player could get out of a map in singleplayer, would that be a big deal? No, they'd just be able to wander around a bit then have to reload the checkpoint. If a player can get out of a map in multiplayer they have a huge unfair advantage. Little things have big repercussions in mp compared to sp.

Actually that's wrong, try playing MAG with no strategy see how long it takes you to get a front line of bunkers down. No intelligence? Actually, there's quite a deal more intelligence in staying alive while running and gunning, than hiding in the back like a sour little pussy. See, I can already tell you're one of those useless snipers, in order to stay alive you need to anticipate the enemies movements and adjust accordingly, it takes a lot more on the fly thinking than sniping.

MAG does not have any middleastern maps, which shows it's another US vs Russians/Chinese. very origianal. Project reality focases on strategy while using limited and basic equipment with the taliban and intelligent use of vehicles and recon in army's like the british or US army + more. and also things like co-operation with pilots (other players).

There is Co-Operation and Strategy, like I said, you try taking down a front line of bunkers against 32 people on just one side of the map with no strategy. Because the game takes place in 2025 not 2010. And it's PMC"s Private Military Corporations, they are not government armies, they're individual companies vying for contracts.
