BTW, I have noticed that people are once again uploading videos to YouTube that play IN STEREO without the need for the addition of the "fmt=18", but I'll be damned if I can guess how they're doing it! Either someone figured out a new "trick," or something in YouTube has changedagain.
Yes. The Youtube staff seems to enjoy introducing these technological changes without telling anyone! Haha! The Youtube staff really needs to have a technical blog devoted to the various revisions they make. I have been leaving comments ("putting out feelers") on various "Youtube stereo test" videos to see if anyone can figure out the new magic formula for attaining stereo WITHOUT the &fmt=18. Eventually we will have the key that unlocks this mysterious door to stereo!
Yeah, I've also noticed some older videos now mysteriously playing in stereo by themselves. Eventually someone will figure this out all of this technical stuff and spread the word around on Youtube. I was amazed to find that some people on Youtube had discovered the &fmt=18 trick as far back as March '08! Seemingly THIS guy was instrumental in the discovery.
BTW, have you heard the latest one? Apparently if you upload an mp4 video @1280 X 720 (widescreen), people can access "super HQ" 720p HD + high quality stereo playback if they add &fmt=22 to the URL! Haha, I wonder what's coming next?

How can you plug the guitar in the PC?
jonhytheguitarist 7 months ago
@jonhytheguitarist to plug your guitar in your PC you need a guitar cable and a 1/4 to 1/8 jack adapter.
Then you just plug it in in your audio card's Line-In.

Haha, damn...

@Topmostpop it's a software amp simulator, not a real amp.
You plug your guitar in your PC, then you tweak yor software amp simulator until you get the sound(s) that you desire and that's pretty much all.

Thanks, man.
Didn't nail it exactly but it was close to the original, I guess.
Svet69 2 years ago
nice, but thats a fairly simple solo (nailed it after playing for 4 months) i bet u can do way better
gjew92 2 years ago
Sure.
This is a solo that one plays because it sounds cool.
It's not a shred show-off piece for sure.
AC/DC have very primitive, basic songs that every beginner can learn in no time.
Still, they kick ass and no body cares if they are simple or not.

damn bro isnt it hard to play underwater??? shit lol jk good cover =]

I have noticed this too.
Think it is a YouTube improvement.
Looks like YT slowly but surely is moving towards Stereo.

I just noticed that my video with the 3D Reptilian model plays in Stereo by itself.
And it used to be one of those videos that would not play in Stereo even with the &fmt=18 added.
Something is changing on YouTube for sure.
Or maybe this is because I have more than 100 subscribers now? Maybe they decided to unlock the Stereo on all channels with more than 100 subs?
The truth is out there...

Yeah, seems that this guy is the original discoverer of the &fmt=18.
The new trick with the =22 is pretty interesting. Haven't tried it yet but it sounds sweet.
Uploading in MP4 makes sense - YouTube converts all videos to MP4 and only after this converts the MP4 files to that low quality FLV.
I guess uploading your HD video in MP4 format makes it easier for YouTube to convert it to a lower res MP4 and this alows for better quality.
It's all speculations, though. I don't know shit for sure.
