  • why did you throw it back ???

  • @AlabamaTeddy Brian is a catch and release kind of guy. He has caught bigger fish than that and holds a NC state record. Each and every one of them catfish are still swimming around in the Cape Fear river.

  • I'd like to have seen the scale readin 73lbs.....

  • @noodlinninja That fish was certified at Riverside Marina which also weighed and certified his State Record. We actualy thought the fish weighed more than it did.

  • whers that

  • it be a good fried fish with some tomatoes onions in stuffing ~_~

  • The only problem i see with this video is that the fish was let go in to shallow of water. Clearly it turned out alright but he had to work his ass of to get deep enough to swim comfortably. Not a huge animal rights violation but still kinda a dick move. That's the kinda fish i'd want breeding in a pond too.

  • what kind of gear do yall use (rod reel)

  • Im not sure but there is a picture at the end of the video with his poles.

  • Holy shit! Thats a good fish.

  • Thanks I only wish that I was the one that caught it.

  • awsome fish but the band is awful amazing fish

  • nice fish! check out my new video i just put on. its called catfish pictures. please subscribe

  • idc how he releases that thing catfish are tough and dont require much revive time, that thing is probably older than you he'll be aight. like the pitbulls of the fish world

  • He bought a pool from walmart that night so he could keep it alive for release the next day after weigh in. Brian is an awesome fisherman and he cares about the welfare of the fish. He guides in the Fayetteville area if you want to get on some big ol cats.

  • damn is this WWE

  • was that the gorilla press slam?

  • It only looks like he slammmed it. When he sat the fish down the fish hesitated for a few so I cut it out of the video. Sorry Brian

  • awesome catch! My biggest is like a 22 Inch Blue. That one put mine to shame. How did you catch it? noodling?

  • He caught it hook and line.

  • nice blue cat, glad to see someone takes their time to release them monsters nice and easy :D

  • take time? taking time would be gently placing the fish in the water, and making sure he got revived, not tossing him in 6" of water on concrete ramp

  • how much did the yellowcat weigh and what was the bait?

  • The fish weighed 73 pounds and Im not sure what his bait was.

  • Always knew that the monsters were in the Cape Fear!

  • lol the catfish is like OMG IM SO HIGH IN THE AIR!!!!

  • and then gets body slammed lol

  • He did not slam the fish! He set it down very easy and the big ol cat just sat there, Brian nudge it then it took off. I cut out the part were the fish just sat there. If you look close you can see the difeerent angle, zoom and cut in the video.

  • if thats the case i appologize, but even after watching it with what you said in mind... looks like he drops it to me

  • I will post the release when i get a chance.

  • congratulations to Brian for both the catch and release but and don't take this the wrong way but i think it would have better if he had help carrying it instead of having all the fishes weight on his on his shoulder.cats are pertty hardy fish so i hope it's off to fight another day

  • wow, what a fish,

  • Was great to see you put that fish back in the water CPR is the only way to go with them big fish. Thanks you for looking after the sport

  • yeah, but dont body slam it
