I just thought to check what options the game allows you to do after choosing to operate the phone, since I had good/bad experiences from messing with other fixed actions of the game. Siren 2 rarely has this sort of glitches too.

When you select [make phonecall] it is supposed to go to like a close-up of the rotary phone, right? So how are you making him dial like that??

You sightjack right before the close-up comes up, but after you've selected the command from the in-game menu.
