The mom IS NOT careless! You can even see that she not only tried to get the carriage, but also appeared to be devastated by what she probably thought to be the baby's death. She is a GOOD mom, it was an ACCIDENT, LEAVE HER ALONE
I remember seeing this, and being just horrified. This has to be one of the worst things I've seen in a while, the fact that this baby survived is amazing.
I don't think the mother is in the wrong, she just took her hands off the pram to pull her pants up. How was she to know that the platform had a slope.
Herself and the train driver will need serious counselling after this.
Yeah, the conductor was great in that part. The mother I don't hate, it was a simple mistake. She should just be a bit more careful next time, and put on some breaks. I wouldn't take the baby away or something.
to all of you who are condeming this poor woman you are the most idiotic judging ppl in the world this poor woman pulled her pants up it was a mistake and i hope you make a do or die mistake one day
Mad props to the conductor for reactin' so quickly. If you look closely, you can see the train didn't go to end of the platform like it normally would. That emergency brake saved the baby's life.
And everyone gettin' on the mother's case needs to calm the hell down.
Don't be so harsh on her everyone, it was a mistake - it could have happened to ANYONE. All it took was a few seconds' lapsed attention, and I'm sure no one has never let their guard down for a moment.
Think about how traumatised she must be. Everytime the clip plays I just can't help feeling such sympathy for the helpless grief she must have felt as the train passed over her child. I'm sure even the intense relief of finding it still alive will not cancel out the trauma of those moments.
She probably feels like the worst mother in the world. Had that train not put on the emergency breaks, her baby would have most likely died. She was given a second chance. Not all people are able to get that.
murder attempt. positioning the pram with full awareness of train. directing pram towards track, sliding up a height after judging slope. looks at train twice to judge timing. releases handle with pram & train in her view. waits to act even after showing concern. slip of foot result of indecision. reaches out for handle with focus on train. only hand in harms way moves just in time. choice of spot is center point of cctv. reactions are unnatural, never bends to see between train & platform.
the baby was pushed 30 meters by a 300 ton train and only suffered minor injuries...... WTF?
change his name to Clark Kent!

I don't see what the train operator did exactly that was so heroic... He was pulling into a station he was supposed to be braking anyways.

So a mother can't pull her trousers up for 2 seconds?
You are quite possibly one of the stupidest people I've met on the internet. How do you justify your comment? It's completely ignorant.
