  • This is such a cute movie!

  • Coney Island as I remember it back in the mid-50's to mid-60's. My age at the time, from 9 to 19. It is exactly as it is in this movie. I saw this movie before. Love it.

  • my father went on the parachute jump in Coney Island. He said the scariest part of the ride was when the chute first releases

and there was a split second of free fall that made his heart go in his throat.

  • Saw the movie this morning for the first time. Now I'd like to see the recent remake.

  • Saw movie for 1st time this evening. What a blast.. Brings back memories of the 50's..It really was like that. Kids were more adventurous and self reliant, parents less fearful and the world less scary. Today they would take both that women's kids away from her-Child neglect. We commuicate worlwide but not next door to our neighbors we don't know. Wonder what happened to the two child stars in movie?

  • Yea, the director Morris Engel made his movies non-Hollywood style, all his movies are shot in real locations, no background actors (except for a few scripted parts), I think the name for the style is neo-realism

  • Nice glimpse into 1950's Coney Island.

  • You can purchase a copy of this little gem from KENO movies.

They also have "Lollypops & Lovers" and " Weddings & Babies" by the same married couple that did this.

    Though this is the BEST.

  • whatever happened to the two actors in the film, Richie Andrusco and Richard Brewster? they were remarkable in this movie.

  • this movie is a litle masterpiece

  • I borrowed this from a friend and watched it this morning because I'm going to Coney Island in a couple of days. This really needs to be seen by more people.

  • I saw this movie when I was a kid and it was first shown in our neighborhood theatre. I've never forgotten it. It's the one movie I never tire of seeing again. The Best!

  • I thought i was the only one aware of this old video. Im 16

  • A great look at life in the early 50's. Must have been filmed with 16mm, stealing natural shots on the streets of New York. Recording life. A must see.

  • Thank you for posting this trailer - it is one of my top ten films of all time. I saw it on the television when I was a kid. Thanks for loving coney Island and giving it the honor it deserves.

  • Thanks for posting. One of the first indie features.
