  • Wtf?How the hell did Once upon a crime not make this list???

  • Someone please tell me the name of the song! clubdj95 tell me please...

  • @solidsnake1414 "Wild Thing" by Tone Loc.

  • UNCLE BUCK, hell yes

  • um HELLO HOME ALONE !!!??

  • @scottg429 We're the Polka kings of the Mid-West.

  • spaceballs! hell yeah

  • UN DIA COMO HOY 31 DE OCTUBRE NACIO

    1950: John Candy, actor canadiense.

  • One of the best movie lines ever:

"I lied about everything, you've got to believe me!"

    ~"Who's Harry Crumb?"

  • What movie does John Candy eat the steak and get it free?

  • @Mimiplus2 its called "the great outdoors"....it was the ol 96ozer he ate...and if he eat all the grizzle too, they would throw in some hats and tshirts for the kids lmao

  • @Mimiplus2 the great outdoors

  • He was classic in "Once Upon a Crime...".

  • i third that

  • Planes Trains and Automobiles by far the best ;-)

  • My top 5 are:

    1. Home Alone

    2. Planes, Trains and Automobiles

    3. Uncle Buck

    4. National Lampoon's Vacation

    5. The Great Outdoors

John Candy only has a small part in #1 and #4, but they still count in my opinion.

  • Blues brothers should have been in there somewhere even though he didn't star he had some good moments

  • @trippyhippy12

    can only second that

  • @trippyhippy12, "orange whip, orange whip 3 orange whips".....Classic!

  • My top three would be 3. Uncle Buck, 2. Spaceballs, 1. Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

  • Armed and Dangerous was fucking funny. Of course, Stripes was the best, followed by Planes, Trains..., & Summer Rental. The rest were just 'ok'.

  • Grew up with greatoutdoors armed and dangaurs planes trains and automobiles my favorite john candy movie all time is uncle buck

  • you are missed John Candy! YOU ARE LEGEND YOU WILL NEVER DIE!

  • wheres canadian bacon?

  • Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is most definitely number one on my list.

  • uncle buck!!

  • I thought Planes, Trains and Automobiles would be the top one, with Uncle Buck as number 2.

  • Planes trains and automobiles blows summer rental outta the water. Just sayin

  • Your list is almost perfect, except that Planes was one of the most over-hyped UNFUNNY pieces of drivel ever put on film. i saw it in the theater and people were almost walking out. Candy did his best, but the script totally sucked. Not only that, but it was also easily one of Steve Martin's worst performances ever. (And there have been very few. Steve's usually great.)

  • Comment removed

  • planes and trains number 1, then harry crumb but regardless they were all great as was the man himself

  • Don't forget his only real serious role in The Clown Murders.

  • Going Beserk rarely gets mentioned...that was a really funny movie...i like all candy movies..Going Beserk, brewsters millions, summer rental, the great outdoors, planes trains and automobiles, speed zone, spaceballs, only the lonely, delirious, whos harry crumb, armed and dangerous(my favourite), once upon a crime, wagons east, nothing but trouble, canadian bacon...God bless John Candy, you were a true legend and you touched many lives with your comedy

  • What about Home Alone?

  • @PreviewDude52797 he was only in a very small role in home alone.

  • @takeyourpillz I think it still counts though.

  • i luv th music u put in

  • I agree Uncle Buck is #1 as far as I'm concerned.

  • I'd put Planes, Trains at #1.

  • For a moment there I thought you weren't going to include Summer Rental!

It is not a very good film in itself but Candy makes it enjoyable to watch. I think it's one of his most hilarious performances.

"Hi, I'm Joe Public, welcome to my beach!"

  • planes , trains , & automobiles is by far his best movie . so funny , yet emotional . simply the best comedy of the 1980s...

  • #1: The Great Outdoors, #2 Planes, Trains, Automobiles, #3 Uncle Buck, #4 Nothing But Trouble #5 Only the Lonely. My kids love Canadian Bacon. How I love that guy.

  • I was watching only the lonely the other day. I took a double take during the scene where the one old guy dies in his sleep from a heart attack. The look on John's face. That was only a couple of years before his. I just had a childhood friend die suddenly. He was always afraid of dying young like his uncle. Premonitions?

  • I meant wagons east

  • :( so sad he died young, he had a heart attack in his sleep during the period of the making of free wagons...

  • nice scale

  • my favs. were the great outdoors and planes trains and autos. i miss john candy.

  • i luved this mother fuc*ah!

  • ANY ONE KNOW THAT MOVIE WHERE HE FIGHTS A EVIL CLOWN WITH A GUN ITS THE BEST HORROR MOVIE EVER HE FIGHTS HIM IN A LIBRARY OR SOMETHING

  • what about going berserk!?

  • Little shop of Horrors WAS NOT A JOHN CANDY MOVIE!!! He made a cameo you dumb shit...

  • @estrangdspydr Yeah, that was def not a John Candy movie. If you haven't yet, I'd go see Canadian Bacon. Great movie.

  • and wheres "Once Upon A Crime" ?

  • "bug, nat..is there a little similarity......whooaaa I think there is"

    rip John Candy :(

  • definately off... i think spaceballs and plains trains and automobiles were #1 and #2.

  • Don't forget this mans awesomeness in Heavy Metal. "18 years of nothing then twice in one night! wow!"

  • Trains, Planes and Automobiles, Uncle Buck and The Great Outdoors. They're my top three. They all make me laugh, and cry.

    I loved John Candy - God Bless Him. Tears always stream down my cheeks at the end of Trains, Planes & Automobiles when Neal realises that Del's wife has died and he's all alone on Thanksgiving :>{

  • Nice tribute! "Stripes," should be number one, in my opinion..

  • Looking forward to my annual Planes Trains viewing, only I wish they could now add a TSA grope-down scene. I can only imagine how pissed off Neil would get (and probably get an enhanced cavity search) and of course Dell would be buddies with the TSA and just walk on through even with the sirens on the machines going berserk!

  • My favorite John Candy movie is PT&A. R.I.P John Candy. he makes me proud to be canadian.

  • And he was in The Blues Bros.

  • No Volunteers?? Really?? Summer Rental was pish. You obviously haven't seen Volunteers. It's one of Johns best movies. And Tom Hanks is great in it as well.

  • I agree with Uncle Buck as his #1 and Summer Rental is great at 2. Spaceballs would have been tied at 2 for me.. Prob would have moved Stripes and Cool Runnings up a little. I would have had to have Canadian Bacon and Wagons West in the mix.

  • Goin; Beserk!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Planes... is my favourite. It really showed more of his skills as an actor, and that movie is just fantastic.

  • id say uncle buck at #2 and Plains trains and automobiles at #1 all these are amazing movies though

  • Nothing But Trouble and Uncle Buck shouldn't be on the same list no matter what

  • @bloodsling Agree, Nothing but Trouble is terrible, I don't know how that movie is on there and Canadian Bacon is not. I'm not saying C-Bacon is great, it's much better than Trouble...

  • My favorite is Uncle Buck as well. He hits the guy with a golf ball and then again, that is funny. Why isnt spaceballs in the top 3? I love that movie. where Rick Moranis is darth helmelt that is great real great. My list is Uncle buck #1, #2 is Spaceballs, #3 is National Lampoon's vacation and at #15 Cool running. Just something I like. John candy is my favorite Comedian of all times and will be until I die. which will be for another 60-80 years.

  • id get rid of one of the movies that he didnt play much of a part in for another movie he didnt play much of a part in but was better .. Home Alone... and where was CANADIAN BACON ?!!

  • how he died?

  • @bigwhiteballs27 He died of a heart attack in his sleep

  • Uncle Buck is my favourite film

  • Planes and uncle Buck are joined top for me hahaha great movies awesome actor r.i.p John x

  • good list-i agree totally

  • I think Planes, Trains and Automobiles should be #1 on the list.

  • the nothing but trouble movie gave me nightmares as a kid.....I dont even remember what the movies about

  • surprised canadian bacon is not on the list

  • YEEAAAHHH!!!!! Uncle Buck # 1. No actor makes me roll on the floor laughing over a broken plate like John did. Seriously they should have capitalized on Uncle Buck before his untimely death. We miss you John!!!!

  • the great outdoors rocks

  • Why isn't Canadian Bacon on the list?

  • the ole 96er

  • Planes trains is best!!

  • Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is his best dude, go look up the reviews.

  • Uncle Buck is the obvious choice as number 1 but cool runnings deserves it.

  • Is the song called wind up or what? i like it haha

  • canadian bacon....home alone????

  • He's just too good to have a top ten!!

  • Only The Lonely should be among the very best John Candy's movies.

  • Going Berserk is not even on this list? Are you f*cking kidding me? Going Berserk is far and beyond Candy's best movie. Do the homework and return when you become a real John Candy fan..

  • I liked the movie Volunteers because of Candy, and one of my favorite actors, Tom Hanks.

  • I say spaceballs was the best movie that John Candy did in my opinion

  • hmm, i think canadian bacon deserved to be in the top 15

  • john candy is the best actor ever.

  • Great Outdoors ruled.

  • Uncle Buck FTW! I knew it would be because the music is from Uncle Buck hehe :)

  • ive seen all 15 of them too u forgot speed zone.

  • once upon a crime is another good one....my favourite has got to be Armed and Dangerous...him and Eugene Levy were awesome in that

  • why is Little Shop of Horrors on that list? he only had 1 scene in it

  • stripes should be number 1

  • Who's Harry Crumb is great I am very glad to see it in the top 10

  • Great list! Good to see Summer Rental ranked so high! I agree!

Thanx for writing "in my opinion" the internet needs more of that lol

  • how is canadian bacon not in this it was hilarious

  • canada will always produce the funniest actors r i p john candy

  • We have the same 1. Though cool runnings should be higher.

  • dude i totally called Uncle Buck being Number 1 right when i started watching this....and to top it all off im watching uncle buck at the same time! RIP John Candy.

  • My favorite is "The Last Polka", followed by "Planes Trains and Automobiles"

The characters used in "The Last Polka" are taken from SCTV

  • great man loved always

  • Planes, trains and automobiles was my favorite. and also uncle buck

  • John you are missed. Long live CANDY!

  • spaceballs best movie ever the MOG is my hero god bless you John Candy

  • I second this.. mog = anal raping sexy

  • Plains Trains and Automobiles& Uncle Buck really are tied for #1 for me. Because both characters he plays are quirky, but lovable and caring. Both characters face a hardship. When you think about they are actually somewhat similar movies.

My god, between losing John Candy in '94, Chris Farley in '96 and John Hughes in '09...man we're losing all the great ones.

  • ya i would have love to c them both in a movie as like john candy as his father or something like that

  • @AbbeyRoad52 Farley died in '97.

  • @AbbeyRoad52

True i allsow think Trains Planes and Automovbiles & Uncle Buck should be tied in 1st place :-P allsow put cool runings in top 3.

  • He played a minor role, but I would have mentioned blues brothers. Such a great movie with another talent that passed away before his time.

  • John Candy always makes me feel better, he had a special way of making you look at your own life and seeing the good in it which makes you feel better.

Although most of his films were funny they were also very poignant and deep at times and pulled at the heart strings without being to soppy.

Although I love Uncle Buck planes trains and automobiles was his greatest film and he acted Steve martin off the screen

  • nice video. RIP John Candy

  • Planes, Trains and Automobiles is on another level, it was by far John Candy's finest moment on screen. Some other greats that were left off were Blues Brothers, Home Alone, Canadian Bacon, JFK, Volunteers, and one of the best jobs he did was on Vacation as security guard Lasky which was hilarious.

  • @buffalobraves9 Yes, JFK!!! John Candy can do drama, too! When he said "Daddy-O", I had to make a drink.

  • My favorite was John's favorite and that is his role of Del Griffith in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I thought it had his best acting, and his best moment in film which of course I am refering to his "I like me" speech. But looking at this list shows just how fun his movies where, like Arm and Dangerous. He would be happy to know how much he is still remembered nearly sixteen years after his passing.

  • every movie on this list is makes me lmao

  • John Candy is the man.. just always makes ya smile.. but i agree Canadian Bacon should be in there.

  • Before I even saw what #15 was going to be, I said "Uncle Buck has to be #1."

  • Tone Loc - Wild Thing

  • does anybody know the title of the song???

  • Spaceballs is my favorite John Candy movie. Great song choice.

  • good music except for the fact this is a remix, most remixes including this one sounds like SHIT compared to the originals, the original beats this out the ass.

  • thanks for posted it! 5/5!

  • what can I say? John Candy true icon!! true genius!!!!! No one will ever replace him!!!!! the best!!!!!!

  • Great list. The top three are all excellent.

  • Great Actor Especially in Planes Trains and Automibiles, wish he was still around has been in some great comedies.

  • Where is Canadian Bacon? :(
