Den, im so proud of u for standing up for the very basic rights you and everyone else deserve to have without punishment or persecution. its unbelievable to me that being gay is something that requires a movement to become "normal" or "accepted". its incomprehensible that anyone can look at a man loving a man as being any different than a man loving a woman. if i cant choose who i love, why would you be able to? i hope you know you have my full support in this incredible journey you are on!
Denactor, I am very moved by your comments and agree that the leadership shown by Secretary of State Clinton is life changing. Thank you, Den, for your authenticity, compassion and exceptionally succinct thoughts -- thoughts so very welcome and clear during the daily manipulations that we see coming constantly from politicians and candidates. Do they know the words, "compassion", "love" and "acceptance"? Cheers, Chppsss
I have long admired Hilary Clinton & her speech just re-confirmed that admiration. If there's one person who could "sort things out" as president its Hilary. I only hope & pray she is given the franchise to help put things right not only for the US but also for the global economy. Her deeds & actions as Secretary of State prove she is eminently suitable for the job. I'd like to see her run as VP with Obama rather than keep Biden on the ticket. Obama will need her & her supporters votes badly!
I never liked Hilary Clinton Until she became Secretary of State. In this position, she has become one of the strongest and most admired women of this world. From not liking to great admiration is a long way; and things like this speech are the reason. I met her when I did not like her and would love to have a meeting with her again; to apologise and thank, and bow down to her for what she has and is doing now.
Youtube has changed... Im not sure how To contact you, But I feel that I really need to.. So I hope I get ahold of you soon. Your videos have Helped me for a long time now.
Loved the Video!! Loved the Speech even more!! Thanks for making this video. Someday soon I will start making my own videos as you suggested. :-) Peace, Mario
Dennis "Amico Mio" I'm with you! Her address was positively "Breathtaking"! It further confirms that the "Paradigm Shift" in thought and attitude regarding LGBTQ people, that I've been watching for a couple of decades now, has and is still working it's magic! The call from such a well respected figure for direct "Empathy" , not mere "Sympathy" which can be synonymous with "Pity", was for lack of a better word "Stunning"!
omg the speech is just unbelievable, still gives me chills. have you watched Lady gaga's speech during the Europride in Italy? it's also really great, take a look
This is both the reason why I wanted her to win the Democratic vote for the 2008 elections, and hoped she ran for 2012. Maybe one day we'll have a Hillary Clinton in office.
You are the first gay person I have seen on You Tube who has even given Hillary Clinton credit for her brave speech on this. Thank you. I wonder what Faux News had to say about it?
Thanks a lot for sharing that link, I totally missed it. Just watched it, and let me say... ca m'a presque autant inspiré que tes videos ^^
In all seriousness, I am SO sharing this link, printing/translating the speech for people to read, and spreading the video for people to watch !! Merci SO much !
She gave a great and courageous speech! Good to hear that she also states that her own country has a lot of improvements to make as well. Exceptional that she mentions this (to a lot of countries) -very controversial- subject so direct, with leaders and diplomats of countries where homosexuality is illegal (such as Pakistan and Afghanistan) and punishable by death (e.g. UAE, Saudi-Arabia) present. Go Clinton!!
I'm conflicted. On the one side I feel inspired by her message and I think it's a history making event I didn't think would even happen in this decade and potentially even longer. However, I feel that until the US is willing to take that first bold step themselves, her message unfortunately will have little effect. The US has for a long time-and sometimes for the worse-been a trend setter. And more conservative countries sadly aren't going to listen to one woman's words when they don't see action.
:) I just commented on the vid I found here, on utube, with Hillary Clinton's speech :) Historic, inspiring, powerful. I'm really speechless and I don't think I can express how much I respect her (I knew little of her and her views before, not being from U.S.). It gives me hope :)
Tears, wish Hilary was runnin instead of freakin Romney or Newt. I can't stand conservativism.

Nigeria is moving ahead with their anti-gay laws, so it will be interesting to see if they get their aid reduced / revoked!

@FilledHunchbacks +1. I'd also like to know. It seems Wikipedia's page for the song doesn't list this version.

The words are great, but...
There are only ten countries that have the "right" to take this stance and the United States of America is not one of them.
