  • Bill Gates

    Steve Jobs

    Who crashed first?

  • wmp.dll, THAT'S YOU OWN FRIKEN SOFTWARE PC!! WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER!! KNOW ABOUT THAT?!

  • Macs give errors like "17/10/2011 00:42:05.000 kernel: IOSurface: buffer allocation size is zero"

I copied this one directly from the log.

  • its reallyyy awkard because my mac just crashed....

  • I don't get why people are trashing macs soo much when they haven't even used one. either way, its YOUR freaking opinion. yes, its expensive for its brand. but guess what...? everything brand is expansive. Think of a purse, you can't compare a Chanel purse to a cheap walmart purse. you get what you paid for, end of story. If you like Pc's so much, then go marry it.

  • @justxboredx3 Let's compare performance/price between a Mac and an Alienware system, taking into account that the PC is upgradeable whenever you wish. I don't hate Macs as a whole but the hardware isn't very good, the Mac OS isn't too bad but Apple's greatest fault is their forcing of hardware.

  • @hildegain Prebuilt and never need upgrade OR maintenance. Minimal third party software installation, and less resource hogging OS

  • @iopabc123789 Well, nobody said anything about needing to upgrade an Alienware system (since they have better hardware), also Alienware systems ARE prebuilt, so it shows how much you know. Minimal third party software installation, you're gonna talk software when there's more out there for the PC platform since most people use it, less resource hogging? Want to back that up with numbers? OSX Vs 7?

  • @hildegain More software AND more viruses, Yes alien ware is prebuilt derp herp. Minimal software installation, I wanted LESS not MORE software.

  • @iopabc123789 More viruses? Yes that's why Macs don't have Antivirus softwar- oh wait!

It's herp derp actually and I pointed that out because I know that you like to ignore snippets of info.

More software to choose from dumbass, my windows 7 install has only the things I need in it because you can actually get rid of a lot that you don't want, I don't expect a computer illiterate to know this though.

  • @hildegain Yet there are STILL more viruses for pc. That point is still valid.

I dont like to ignore snippets of info, I stated that NO UPGRADES, derp herp.

Why do I need thousands of peaces of software to do the same thing?

(Fuck you youtube for removing my PHP code)

  • @iopabc123789 There are more but that doesn't mean shit since macs have more trojan attacks.

I never said anything about upgrades herpa derp.

I never said that you needed thousands of pieces of software, I don't have much installed and yet I do everything I want.

  • @hildegain Yet PC's still have a higher chance of infection. Yes you did, herpa derp. "taking into account that the PC is upgradeable" I meant why must I choose from thousands of peaces? Currently my PC has the desktop full of icons and only 32mb space left (out of 300+ gb)

  • @iopabc123789 PCs have a slightly higher chance of a drive by download but a far lower risk of being hit by a trojan.

I said "taking into account" because even though the Alienware systems win outright they are still able to be upgraded if you would choose to do so, I don't understand your problem with upgrading, it's like you hate customization.

    Choice is a good thing.

I have 2.5tb of HDD and 800gb free, most of it is music, movies and games. Your usage must be really bad.

  • @hildegain I infact DO hate customization, please explain to me why I should like choice.

  • @iopabc123789 that's silly. Would you like to wear the same clothing as everyone else and have the same haircut? If yes, then what kind of human being are you?

  • @iopabc123789 I'm actually dumbfounded by that response. I can't believe there is someone who hates having the ability to choose and find what is best suited for them but would rather a corporation tell them what to like.

Why would you hate customization? Would you not want to choose a good car and then pick whether or not it has leather seats?

When I go to a computer store I'm happy and excited to see all the hardware and software to play with, you're the most anti human as they come.

  • @hildegain Because I want to look at the price and buy it, knowing its the same as any other one you can buy for that price tag at the time. (same meaning laptop - laptop, not desktop - laptop)

  • @iopabc123789 so you hate thinking for yourself. Have fun in the idiot land.

  • @mirta000 The Idiot Land*

  • @mirta000 Anyways Id just thought id inform you that I just finished a install of XP on vista. Runs much smoother and better, did have to uninstall the norton that came with it and get .net 3.5, other then that it runs grand fantasia at 20 or so fps, so its meh.

  • @mirta000 and besides... 32 mb's isnt enough to run on unless he has like... windows 97 or something.

  • @hildegain Im trying to post a link, damn you youtube.

    (w-ww DOT)makeuseof(DOT c-OM)/tag/101-undeniable-reasons-why-mac-is-better-than-pcs/

  • @iopabc123789 the link you provide is shit.

"1. Apple is one of the almost-unrivalled worldwide trend makers" he states that it's prettier. Look at alienware PCs.

"2. Macs produce better advertisements" that's a reason?

"3. Mac can run Windows natively" PCs can run Mac software.

"4. Mac OS X can survive for weeks without the need of rebooting" my laptop can last for months.

"5. Mac OS X has no virus headache problems" nor does PC.

    (continued)

  • @iopabc123789 Macs are cheaper? £2000 Mac Pro Vs £500 AMD system.

Virus headaches, haven't had a virus yet on windows 7.

No reboots, not rebooted in a month.

"Apple creates really fanatic users" Yep, so do churches.

Best customer support, getting a mac repaired only to receive it broken again, nice.

    Multi touch technology? Acer tablets.

Run windows natively, that's not bad true but I could easily run Linux (which I prefer).

  • @iopabc123789 "6. Mac has multi-touch technology" fingerprints on a screen is cool!

"7. Apple gives the customer the best support – survey said" mac needs more costumer support.

"8. Mac makes better phone platform" it's a good argument for how good is a home computer?

"9. Apple creates really fanatic users" religion does too ^_^

"10. Macs are cheaper than PCs" proved it wrong already.

"11. Mac is a nicer paperweight" that's all you can use it for.

  • @justxboredx3 You know that Nerd means intelligent right? I'm more than just a gamer actually, I use my PC to produce video, music, graphics and will be making games.

If you think that all PCs are ugly and giant then you don't know anything about them at all because you'd only have to spend maybe 2 minutes searching to find some very pretty designs. I also don't own a laptop but oh well ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @justxboredx3 Well nerds are simply people who enjoy learning but it's nice to know that you're lazy and wont even do 2 minutes of looking up information.

You say that it will eventually break, welcome to the world of computing, Macs are no exception to this rule, yet all of my PCs still work, thank you.

I never gave my opinion on a design, I merely said that you hadn't bothered to look, which you proved in your response.

  • Comment removed

  • @justxboredx3 Typical kid, shut the fuck up and read what I'm stating. I've yet to actually state an opinion, I stated that you haven't even looked at the opposition and YOU SAID SO YOURSELF.

They all break in a few months? Either you broke it yourself because you're a dumbass (likely) or you're lying (twice as likely).

For a year? I have PCs that are fucking ancient by now.

I'll ask your opinion question back at you, show where I stated an opinion. Crappy? Yeah because you know so much.

  • Comment removed

  • @justxboredx3 Yes, I have a no life because I work in business, have hobbies, a happy life and like to learn about hardware and software, whereas you, the person who comes onto a random video to claim that because you broke a PC (or not) means that all PCs are bad.

I watched a video of a guy who had a broken mac, got it repaired and it came back broken again, does that mean that all macs are shit? No.

Good day to you, have fun yelling at other people about opinions.

  • @justxboredx3 we don't hate mac , we just hate steve for his lying ads

  • @neroinaction the problem isn't steve, the problem is idiot consumers.

they buy things simply because they are shiny and have a fruit on them

  • @Kamilsimac exactly :D

  • Lol. Lmao "fatal error...he's a goner"

  • Windows Media Player is failing because it is trying to play a M4A file.

  • @iopabc123789 Just because it's illegal doesn't mean it won't run. Lots of this kind of things happen to devices all over the world. PC, PS3, DS, PSP, X360, iPhone, iPad, etc etc etc. Try it, ooo wait, google it.

  • ever dropped a mac?

  • yeah because i want to spend at least £800 on a mac laptop just so I can do pretty much do all the same stuff that I can already do on a normal windows pc

  • Macs get other errors...

  • Point?

  • GET LINUX

  • @georgeabbers No Crysis 2?

  • @georgeabbers you forgot quake 3 and HL2 episodes 1 and 2. which makes a total of 6 games for the Mac. Incredible variety!

  • @georgeabbers

That was posted over a year ago.

Please think before posting stupid comments.

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer Tbh the text saying that is quite small... :P

  • @bubblegum1852

But it still says it... :P

  • has that PC ever heard of.. internet??

  • wmp.dll = windows media player dynamic link library. its not acually a real error, unless some idiot managed to delete it.

  • Ever have of kernel panics apple? Ive got in 6 times on my 2008 macbook pro.

I've only got a BSOD twice in my WHOLE LIFE.

  • pc is people who can use computer and mac is for idiots who dosent have fucking 2 fingers.

  • Hey Mac, you like those driver errors, and that good old kernal panic that happens when you try copying something?

  • -comment removed by chuck norris-

  • Once you go mac, you never go back!

  • @dhovado You never go back because you've been brainwashed by the dumbasses in the advertising department at Apple.

  • @dhovado I did bootcamp and use my Toshiba A135 still.. And it even has Vista on it,

  • @dhovado

    Not true for me

  • @dhovado You can't afford it after paying the cost of the mac.

  • Errors can be fixed.. Errors only happen if someone screwed up..

  • Cheep ****

  • Pc hakintosh Cheri and cheerful :)

  • PC & Mac are both great just depending on what you use them for.

  • PC: Hi I´m a pc

Mac: And I´m an elitist faggot

  • @Nefus1988 Mac isn't even elitist.. It just acts like it.. In reality mac is an overpriced peace of aluminium and/or plastic

  • Macs don't get those error messages????

written on an error-ridden MacBook Pro.

Oh, and the Nvidia video card is rotten, the 4G Ram upgrade makes more issues, and the Sony flammable battery....... all included in this little dream.

  • wmp.dll = windows media player. Not so hard...

  • I think people need to realize that Macs have their advantages and disadvantages, as well as other PC's. For example, I hate using a Windows machine for any of Adobe's products, but at the same time, nearly all of the immersive games on Macs are sluggish.

  • windows media player? who the hell uses that? VLC FTW!!!!

  • The programs and changing settings really causes stuff like this.. but you cant do anything on macs so what's the point.

  • Macs do get cryptic error messages.

Something about a .dll, a bunch of random letters, IDK. That's why I installed W7 on my Mac.

  • please do not read the folowing

if you read this then unless you copy and paste this message 5 times, you will get the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!! Which you probably don't want and you also have to thumbs up or else.........

  • macs are expensive, worth every penny.

pc are cheap, worth every penny.

    both appeal to different people.

  • lol at least PC computers wear suits :D

  • @TheNXTguy: The real reason the PC guy always wears a suite is so as to make fun of Steve Balmer from Microsoft. PC guy even looks like him.

  • @Supenmanu But suits are still kewl. :)

  • guys NEW MAC OS . Snow donkey OS . NEVER Crash . it will carry more than leopard

  • hmm i like on my mac it just says "you need to restart your computer" and i have no indication of whats going on

  • @Boomdoggles I like the Mac OS, but I had a journalism class where my computer would give me that message every single day. No joke. I had the cheapest macbook available but I will never be fooled into thinking any sort of computer is infallible.

  • A PC is never completely gone, you can always replace whatever fails on you. Really no such thing as a "Fatal" error on a PC, everything is fixable or replaceable by part.

  • Is it bad that I know wmp.dll is the windows media player dynamic link library? lol

  • More than 50% of people play games... so PC will never be beaten. Mac can't even run a lousy 90's game... they're just cool with the design.

  • incorrect statement much? pcfanboy youve been brainwashed by bill gates, and retards on the internet.

  • my GAMING PC has never crash, in 2 years not once

  • mac is better, thats just the way it is

  • @1994Mrx

    Played any good games latley?

  • rofl good point

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer Yes, actually. Half-Life 2, Sims 3, CoD 4, Team Fortress 2. All of them have one thing in common: they're all available on Mac.

  • @DanielL5583 but can you get cod 6? or anything that has been released this year?

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer I've played every game on a PC by installing Windows 7 into my Mac. Instead of bashing one another, how bout we just fuse the system to make the best of both worlds, instead of the worst of both worlds?

  • @AstroKoonai

Hey I posted that thaing ages ago I know that nowadays you can run some games on the mac :S

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer lol zombie slayer? how old are you, 10? have fun dying a virgin.

    get a life game freak.

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer well yea if they just dual boot windows which they can why dont you look it up sometimes oh yea and there are good games for mac on apple.com so yea dont go saying shit when you apparently dont know shit about mac dumbass

  • @tatertots900

    Rage much

I posted that over a year ago :0

  • Comment removed

  • @tatertots900 Do they have Crysis? If so; can you run it with max gfx on your oh-so-wonderful mac? If no; can't you just buy some hardware upgrades for a few hundred dollars? Oh, that's right, you have to replace your whole system for thousands.........dumbass...

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer Fail mac can run steam and A LOT more games than it used to be able to run since the intel cores...

  • @360ownez Mac has been able to run steam for couple of months and it's not even all the games that are available for mac...

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer

    Why yes. Yes I have.

  • @Lynx557

I wrote that comment over a year ago :S

Now Mac has a few games

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer yea i played rtw cs mount and blade well actuly all my fav games =)

macs can play pc games if you port them so dont talk about them

  • @antonspi

Oh. That comment was wrote over a year ago.

Please think before you post comments.

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer actually yeah on my console... ?!

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer I played WoW, Minecraft, and started Amnesia The Dark Descent earlier today.

  • @tmock2626

And you know when I posted that comment braugh?

    /facepalm

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer I can play any game i want though bootcamp, and most games I play on steam run for both macs and pc.

  • @iopabc123789

Congratulations, you've realized that my post was posted over a year ago!

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer Yet you would if given choice still claim it today!

  • @iopabc123789

You can't deny though that PC still has more games.

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer and you cant deny that mac can just run them though bootcamp

  • @iopabc123789

I don't even know what that is lol

  • @Z0mbieS1ayer It allows mac to run any windows programs, natively or though a virtual machine.

  • @iopabc123789

    kay..?

  • @iopabc123789 and a PC can run a mac trough bootcamp too.

  • @mirta000

    LOL

    #1 pcs dont have that.

    #2 thats illegal.

#3 Its a pain in the ass and you have to use hackintosh.

  • @iopabc123789 They do have that, and so what that it's illegal? One of your points of why mac is better is that it can run bootcamp, well PC can do that too. It's not that hard and hackintoshes tend to be faster and run better.

  • @mirta000 And illegal. Hackintosh does not run "faster and better", it just means your pc has better specs, which is the most case scenario all you pc lovers refer to. I said because mac can run bootcamp, it has no limitation of playing pc games, but even if you run hackintosh, most things that are mac specific, and require mac hardware, will not run.

  • @iopabc123789 actually wrong - get the right hardware and you will be fine. Apple does not develop parts for macs, they buy them, so therefore making a hackintosh is easy and also works better. The software will not recognize that you are running the wrong hardware really.

Also there's plenty of programs allowing you to emulate other programs without installing it directly on hardware allowing you to use a mac or an older version of windows with the system that you are running.

  • @mirta000 And you still wont have a mac, just a cheap imitation of one with may i restart NOT FULL COMPATIBILITY. Not only that but must i RESTATE it is Illegal.

  • @iopabc123789 for the last time, hackintoshes run even better than real macs. Mac insides are SHIT. You can buy the same brands Apple buys and make yourself something cheaper and that runs better.

  • @mirta000

No they dont, you cannot run something you dont have the proper hardware for. Not to mention: illegal. For the last 500 fucking times you can go to court for it.

  • @iopabc123789 yes, because police does usually bang on your door every day to see if software matches the hardware. Mac hardware is made out of non Apple things. The buy their procesors, graphics cards and so on, if you buy the same things (mac has an ATI processor, you buy one) you run their software with no problem and no hacking. And it runs smoother because apple are rip offs and sell you the cheapest things for the biggest price.

  • @mirta000 Yet they do so in shiny cases with patents on them for only having their software run in certified products. Sure the police may never find out but that doesn't make it any more legal.

  • @iopabc123789 Ok, to state things more accurately for you:

If a brand of Mac contains a core2quad processor at 2.4ghz or so, you can easily build a hackintosh with a core2quad at 3.0ghz and do so cheap without having to modify the software to run on the hardware, this means you break no laws.

The same goes for any other component found in Macs, when you buy a Mac, you never get the best hardware and it's always more expensive.

  • @mirta000 You cannot install mac on a unverified machine. Hence hackintosh ITSELF is illegal.

  • @iopabc123789 Modifying the kernel is illegal, I will urge you to read up more on the subject as there are ways to install Mac OS on intel hardware for PCs without any form of hacking and as such is NOT illegal.

  • @mirta000 Hackintosh, pirated software to install mac on a windows based pc with = illegal.

  • @iopabc123789 I guess you like to ignore key points being made. Hackintosh is a name given to any PC that runs Mac software and not all PCs require a hacked kernel.

Try to tell those who didn't modify the operating system core files that they are doing something illegal. Not to mention, illegal or not, you don't really have much of an argument.

  • @mirta000 My argument: Macs come in shiny cases and feel cold, also, their not illegal.

  • @iopabc123789 My argument: PCs have shiny cases AND shiny top of the line innards that can also run any kind of software without breaking EULA.

  • @mirta000 You mean dull interface and dull black case. -Written from a pc.

  • @iopabc123789 If you're using a pre-built Dell running windows xp then you need to upgrade.

You can build plenty of nice computers with very flashy and fancy cases (if you're not a moron) and later versions of Linux and Windows are hardly dull compared with the grey OS X

  • @mirta000

Using a black acer running vista. Grey and sleek is what i like. I dont want those flashy, bulky cases, mac has an elegant feel to it.

  • @iopabc123789 You can find elegant anywhere and don't need to have an apple drawn on it to give you that.

  • @mirta000 Well all the experiences ive had with windows (which is around 12 years of usage) have been totaled worse then even 1-2 years of usage with a mac. Windows just dosn't run well infront of my eyes, and the fact that it cant LEGALLY run the other computer is a bad mark from me.

  • @iopabc123789 I have told you in previous posts that you CAN run MAC OS on a PC LEGALLY without violating the EULA if you do not hack the Kernel. Also your arguments thus far fall into the category of OPINIONS and PREFERENCES.

  • @mirta000 SO do yours. Saying that mac has "shit insides" has to validity to claim as "shit insides" is an opinion.

  • @iopabc123789 Maybe you ought to rephrase that since it makes little sense. Also my comment was an actual fact since Apple buys budget level hardware and sells it at high performance prices, I'll give an example. The best macs have Amd 5770s and budget versions of i7s, look it up on their store.

  • @mirta000 Yet saying its still "Shit" is an opinion. Argument invalid.

  • @iopabc123789 It's budget hardware at performance prices, they're selling you shit and calling it cherries. You can get better hardware on your PC and it'll always be cheaper.

  • @mirta000 And you are saying certain stuff is shit only it isn't actually shit, hence opinion.

  • @iopabc123789 I'm saying shit as in it's overpriced and is shit in comparison to what they COULD HAVE PUT IN THERE for the same price. Hence it's shit and that's just purely an objective observation.

  • @mirta000 Then all my opinions are the same, they COULD have put actual shit in there but they didn't, and you stating it IS shit means it is your opinion or FALSE statement. Because computers cant be made out of dung.

  • @iopabc123789 So basically your argument has been broken down into jumping on words and semantics? To say something is made out of shit is to say that it is not made to a standard that is acceptable. Try not to be an idiot for a second please.

  • @mirta000 But you should have pointed that out, also standards are set by society and are mere trounces, which all boil down to preference. So opinions.

  • @iopabc123789 So charging people for performance grade hardware while only giving them budget level hardware AT BEST is all down to preference? Only Apple is allowed to get away with that and it's because of fanboys and idiots.

  • @mirta000 Mhmm, it quite is. Only windows freezes playing minecraft because of its fanboys and idiots.

  • @iopabc123789 Your windows freezes playing minecraft? Maybe your computer just plainly sucks or you have a bad Java installation because mine has NEVER crashed EVER, you also might want to check if you're using a Laptop that your graphics card is set to run at all times. Also I don't see what fanboys has to do with YOUR random issue.

  • @mirta000 Then what do fanboys have to do with YOUR random issue? You say cheap and shitty? I say economically wise. Im using a desktop, a 12 year old desktop, my friends mac lasted him 15 years no errors. I can never state that truthfully about a pc.

  • @iopabc123789 I have had PCs last me a very long time, the truth is that in 15 years no system will be able to handle anything NEW. You also must be ignoring my points ENTIRELY because MACs have LOW LEVEL HARDWARE for HIGH LEVEL PRICES. And the reason is because fanboys allow them to get away with it, learn to think on your own!

  • @mirta000 Oh really? Well so do most other prebuilt pc's under 1k. Also, mac is economically wise, not low level. If i cant think on my own then how am I writing this, am I robotic?

  • @iopabc123789 Pre-built PCs tend to have fairly standard hardware for under 1k, Macs tend to have standard hardware for about 2k and above. You really can't think for yourself because otherwise you'd just build a custom PC and save money. THAT'S what economically wise is.

  • @mirta000 my $1k PC broke in less than a year, actually it was about 6 months. >.> my I bought a mac for 1k a year ago, it still works like new. :)

  • @justxboredx3 I've had laptops and desktops for far longer than that with zero issues, if you had a problem with your PC either it was your bad luck or you broke it yourself. :P

  • @mirta000 OR...you've been lucky with yours. I've had about 10 PC laptops and desktops, all FAILED miserably. With mac...I don't need luck, since they all work the same way.

  • @justxboredx3 Well I know plenty of people with PCs and absolutely none of them with problems. The only people I know who replace PCs are people who are upgrading hardware. Also Macs and PCs are both the same kind of stuff but in a different wrapper. For instance both of them have Intel and AMD hardware.

  • @mirta000 I disagree. Never said economically wise for yourself. I said for mackintosh, the company. Learn to actually read the comment. Secondly, if I wanted to build a custom pc I would by now (all you need is a screwdriver, and lots of money) but my pc will get outdated in a few years whereas my mac can last way more and still run somewhat new programs ect.

  • @iopabc123789 yet it's cheaper to build a custom build PC than it is to buy a mac, and you can go on for 4, 5 years not changing a single thing and yet being able to run the latest software, you can last for way more if you do not want to run the latest software of course.

Also economically wise for the company? Why yes, they get to rip you off, sell something that doesn't work and get money for it!

  • @iopabc123789 Economically wise for the company is a fancy way of saying "buy cheap sell high to save money at the expense of your customers". Also custom PCs require very little money, my current PC has seen a few upgrades over the years and has come nowhere close to the cost of a Mac and is yet able to run all of the latest apps and games.

You should research hardware a little, a performance six-core CPU is about £120.

  • @hildegain Not talking about custom builds you derp. Im talking about pre-built stuff, most of that stuff does the same thing. Again, still an opinion on all things from both points of view. If you would kindly state (without lying) how much those upgrades cost and how old your pc is, id appreciate it.

  • @iopabc123789 Well you could buy a high end Alienware pre-built cheaper than a Mac and it would still be good to run in the years to come, considering macs contain budget level hardware and server processors.

My PC was first built 5 years ago and has had only the processor replaced (3 years ago £130), motherboard replaced (also 3 years ago £35) and graphics card replaced (1 year ago £110). It's all budget level stuff with the exception of the processor at release.

  • @hildegain And it still wouldn't run as long, talk to me in 7 years, also, you have to upgrade your pc, I dont have to do that to my mac. Again, i own BOTH a pc and a mac, and I USED to be a pc person, but again, once you go mac, you never go back.

  • @iopabc123789 yet it costs way more and is not able to run the latest software. You see the problem is that he with doing such minor upgrades can keep up and run the newest games on ultra settings. Your mac on the other hand... I doubt that it even could run the latest mac operating system.

  • @iopabc123789 Amazing, I used to mess around with Macs myself, they don't do anything better than a PC other than not get hit by random downloads of viruses but that doesn't make them immune either.

My PC will probably cost about £300-700 every 5 years or so, in order for me to keep up in specs with a Mac (because I want to run more than an internet browser) I'd be spending about £5000 every 10 years.

Upgrades are necessary for macs, just means getting a whole new system, unlike me.

  • @hildegain And every 10 years I never have to upgrade a single thing, not even buy a new one unless it becomes utterly impossible to use.
