  • At 0:03 we can clearely see the the edge is chipped off, harder steel are more brittle, anyway kind of anoying to see in some sort of sale video... and why not move the tomato slices one by one so that you can forget that your finger is it the way and chop it off...

  • nope.. failure... Santoku really means "three virtues" and Santoku Boko means "Knife of the three virtues" but virtues sign of its good properties when cutting meat, fish and vegetables ;)

  • @ChronicMist You have no idea what you're talking about; sharpness potential is dependent upon steel grain fineness. While chromium carbides may be large, certain powdered stainless steels with high manganese and vanadium content can have a finer grain structure than regular carbon steel, and therefore higher sharpness potential. Also, with high grade stainless you get far better wear resistance, resulting in vastly superior edge retention for kitchen applications.
